MrMann1:I dont really think so, if there was any contradiction the VO would have made known that point to you to defend it. All the same just work on giving better responses esp on the 'what are u going to do after ur program' as advised by Deetus. Good luck 1 Like |

Yeah sure jah101, you're right its by the grace of God but one's appearance gives one confidence. Like when you and everyone looks at you, this gives you kind of assurance that the visa interviewer would want to hear you out and even guide you through your mistakes. That's what I think sha. Because confidence is very essential in getting that visa

Transcript from my visa interview: I reached Walter carrighton around 6:55, my aunt's driver drove me to Lekki claiming he know US embassy, when he discovered he was lost after asking people on the road who told him its at VI, we decided to trace our steps back. Thank God we were on track and got to the US embassy through the second gate. On reaching the US embassy, I immediately reached for the shortest queue thinking its the F1 visa queue before someone informed me if am an immigrant, then redirected me to where the F1 visa queue was. Oboi it was the longest queue there. I was the second to the last person on that queue. After we all entered, ed through the security protocols, verified our documents; i-20, sevis fee receipt and appointment letter, we had our seats outside about to enter the interview hall. After waiting for some time we were ushered in, where we did our finger prints and our documents were arranged. Then I finally ed the queue that led to the F1 visa interviewer. Sorry for the long story before the transcript just wanted to create a feel of how that place was. After waiting on the queue for about two hours and thirty minutes, standing oooo. It got to my turn, and it went as thus. Me: Good Morning VO: 'no reply', me your documents, speaking angrily or so I thought, after denying so many people already although the two people in front of me were given before them only few people were given. Me: ed the documents and waited as my heart stated beating, ehnnn are u scared, I began speaking in tongues as I brother has advised here, then confidence came from no where and I became stable back. VO; where are you going to? Me; Arkansas Tech university, in Arkansas VO: what do you want to study. Me: Electrical Engineering. now opening my i-20 and looking at her computer and was just typing, only God know what she was typing. VO: How many schools did you apply to Me: four schools VO: mention them Me: Arkansas state university, Arkansas tech university, south Carolina state university, Fairleigh Dickinson university VO: why did you choose Arkansas Tech Me: Basically because of its tuition fees and the major they are offering which is Electrical Engineering computer Engineering option which entail more of Computer programming, organisation and design from the freshman year as it would give me an edge than the conventional Electrical engineering offered in other schools. VO: how did you know about the school? Me: I did my SAT and TOEFL tutorials with an Educational consultant where they give advice and information to students on universities in the US based on their tuition fees, our course of study and hmmmmm, wasn't sure of what to say next.... VO: now nodding her head, for my mind I was like yessssssssss. Who is paying your schools fees Me: my father is my sponsor VO: what does he do Me: he is an assistant chief technologist in #she cuts in. VO: no no no no no, I mean what does he do not where he works Me: he teaches in a tertiary institution VO: what does your mother do Me: she works with a company don't really know her position but I mentioned the company VO: do you have any relative in Arkansas Me: no, not at all VO: stretches to bring the white paper. You visa has been approved bla bla bla, didn't really hear the rest. Then for the first time since the interview she smiled and faced up from her computer to look at me. Me: is that all? VO: yeah, Me: alright thank you very much maaaaa. One major thing I noticed was that all the people who dressed well yesterday got their visas. There was a tall lady on red and stripped black gown she got her viss after her nobody got visa till the guy on suit and the lady also on suit in front of me. And I also on a suit with a jacket and a low hair cut wasn't denied, with little question asked. So pls dress well, don't just wear a shirt and jeans, I noticed a lot of guys dressed casually but it doesn't protray entirely a student characteristics. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Thursday 17th of Dec. 6:30 am appointment. After waiting on the queue for about three hours to get interviewed. It looked like it was only the woman at window 1 that was interviewing non-immigrants student visas. Finally my visa was approved. I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this forum in one way or the other, from slimmy05, walspring, bigfrancis, deetus and others with their construction criticism and explicit dissemination of vital information that is very useful in acquiring the visa. I would drop my transcript this evening, kind of stressed up now. But one major thing I know is that prayer works, cos that's about the major thing I did and I was highly favoured by God. Thanks to everyone once again and to those who are still going for their interview later this month, just as others prayed for me, I also pray for you that your heart desires would be granted and you all would come here to give your own testimony. In Jesus name. Amen.
