We all want a country that work no doubt but our approach or understanding of how it will work differs. As a young undergraduate, IBB closed our school for 8 months for protesting. We were made to write apologies letter and pay N200 penalty to repair the school building burnt with police teargas. I tell you, the worst of Tinubu is still better than the best of any military. If the military guy did not truncate our democracy in the 1 st Republic, we won't be were we are today. They came back again 1984 through this Buhari. He destroyed this country as military and as a civilian. Most of the crisis we are facing today got aggravated when Buhari became president. Talk about debt, insecurity, nepotism etc. Why Tinubu may not be the best, he in my own opinion is doing something differently from Buhari that is capable of restoring us to part of growth. I agree, we should not stop talking. If we don't criticize them they can go to sleep. My take quote author=Brendaniel post=135163488] Ok Sir, I get your point, I also graduated in 2010, that's about 17 years apart in academic calendar, but I'm not here to drag age, I just feel really annoyed with the way this country has turned out to be, I also witnessed military regimes and I can tell you that Tinubu has performed worse than so many military leaders. I just feel that whether young or old we should learn to speak the truth, I'm sorry if I sounded rude.... I just want a country that works.
|

What is the role of the National Assembly and the CBN in this mess? Let CBN devise a bill proposing stringent sanctions for demanding USD or any other foreign currency for any domestic transaction within Nigeria. The National Assembly should make such a law for PBAT to sign.

[ As per my age, iI will leave you to do the maths below: I graduated from University in 1993 worked briefly and completed MBA from one of the leading Universities in this country in 1998.I am a professional in Financial services. Now, I am not against objective criticism, but outright insult does not portray proper upbringing , as an adult I feel we shouldn't let such slip. without correcting it because that is not who we are and what is not corrected will be ed to coming generations. quote author=Brendaniel post=134970821] Firstly, if you are not up to 54 you can't be my father, no matter how you may try to calculate it... Secondly I'm sorry if I have been sounding rude to you, but is very annoying watching you older folks destroy the country and be expecting respect from the younger ones or expect the younger one to keep quiet because of age... What then are you teaching the younger ones ? I just felt maybe if insults begin to get to you guys then maybe you guys will start buckling up and showing good examples... Just imagine if Tinubu receive insults from young people everywhere he goes, I think it may cause him to start doing some things right... I think that's a major difference between Africa and the west, and we can see the advancement they have made... I am not calling for the younger ones to be disrespectful but the older ones should also respect themselves by teaching the younger one good examples and their respect should be earned and not demanded... I don't use to do this before I just started it, I feel it might start putting shame to the older ones to start doing right and leaving good examples...
|

merits: Are you one of them. Why is your comment suggesting you are not happy with their arrest? Are those boys doing the right things in the society? Should we allow their to freely operate? EFCC has tried and should be on commended this time around. As for the arrest of politicians, it is a gradual process, of they don't get it right now, sometimes in future, they will get their strategies right. |

Tinubu istration this, Tinubu that, can El-Rufai just give us a respite? Did you talk when Buhari was destroying this country with borrowing, nepotism, and corruption? It is easy to repair what was damaged. Do you not all agree that subsidy removal is necessary? Did currency devaluation start with Tinubu? I agree Tinubu can do better, but if anyone should be castigating Tinubu every time, certainly this El-Rufai isn't qualified to do so. He campaigned for him and one of the major people that made Nigeria vote for him, so just because of your selfish interest, you keep attacking him? Wer don't want a tribal bigot as Minister nor a religious war monger like you. We have thousands of good northern that wish our country well that are better than you. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Brendaniel:When you call the agemate of your father an idiot because you haven't been properly brought up or you choose not to accept proper upbringing, you can be sure, without blinking an eyes , people of your children agemate will insult you face to face.. I rest my case. Watch out! |

Brendaniel: Ignorance is a disease. Check my moniker, am from Middlebelt. Secondly, check the appointment Buhari made and compare NW where he came from with NC and NE. If your choose to hate Tinubu, how should that make you to start talking rudely to someone that is probably older or about the age of your father on this platform? |
![]() |
Brendaniel: It is people like you who make it easy to be dominated. Why were the SE, SS, and North complaining when Buhari bastardized the appointment? Why the sudden outcry against someone trying to correct a lopsided appointment? Can he get it right immediately? No, it is a gradual process. |

The so-called Northern Youths have no sense of history, perhaps they should ask their fathers about the history of Nigeria. How Nigeria's independence was negotiated on a TRIPOD called North, West, and East Regions, and how through the use of military the North has changed the political negotiations to North Vs South 2. How Sanni Abacha, ( the worst leader in the history of Nigeria), used military advantage to create 44 local government Areas for Kano after creating Jigawa State out of old Kano state that shared the same state status with Lagos State. They should not remind us about the depth of injustice the North has perpetrated in this country using their military sons. Now it is so difficult for Southern Nigeria to unite and ask that after South West, it should be the turn of Eastern Nigeria to produce a president because of the greed for power from the North. If they do not know history, they should be taught that even the North today is sharply divided and that we in the Middlebelt want a separate identity. 2 Likes |

descarado: There's a church in Anthony Village Lagos whose mode of worship is similar to what you described. Indeed, no clapping, dancing, or collection plate but they have a Tithes and Offering box, and there is no mention of offering during service except occasionally when they are teaching about God's plan of financing. They have a big tabernacle and are located at Campground road. They own the Campground. |

beardedboy: Please don't mention Buhari here! The suffering we are going through today was caused by the man who served for 8 solid years and has nothing to show for it. A monumental failure. Look at all the Rotimi Amaechi's railworks media campaign, why is Ogbomoso = Ilorin road leading to the North still blocked with trailers? We can't transport anything on the Buhairi/ Amaechi rail line. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I am not a member of Pastor Adeboye's RCCG Church, but I feel highly insulted as a Christian when anti-Christian e-warriors attacked him, especially on Nairaland. When you say, " his prayers were not being answered......." I feel perplexed if you know the risk of mocking a man of God. All of you criticizing this man must know this, if it were not for the answer to prayers in this country, our crisis would perhaps be worse than Ukraine: Russia by now, you probably wouldn't even have access to electricity talkless of the charged phone to attack a Christain leader as you will be busy trying to find a place to hide from bomb and gunshots. Pastor Adeboye and his RCCG have helped put Nigeria on the global map and have contributed more to Nigeria's progress than some armchair critics looking for a Christian leader to attack. If you don't know, Nigeria is the international HQ of RCCG with a presence in several countries globally. It is one thing for us to pray, it is completely at the discretion of the almighty God to answer in his own time in his way. If the politicians keep operating without the fear of God, it is still our responsibility to pray for them and leave the judgment in the hands of the God that rules men's affairs. If you say "Many people have stopped going to church", perhaps you are talking about yourself, I can say very many people are still going to church to seek his face and God is still in the business of answering prayer, no matter how bad our situation may appear as a people and a country. I would like to humbly appeal to Nairalanders not to people using derogatory words against Christian leaders. Stop saying they are not men of God. Allow God to take care of that because if you in attacking someone that God is happy with, the Supreme Court of this word will not be able to bail you out when your punishment comes like a storm. Sterlingdgreat: The only way to truly understand Christianity is to have experential salvation/born again. People argue because they don't have the true spirit of God to confirm the word of God to them. READ this portion of Malachi 3 6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. 7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? 8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts. 13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee? 14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts? 15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. 16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. 17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. 18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. 1 Like 1 Share |

The unfortunate thing about this issue now is that her foolish action will start making other tribes in Nigeria and even foreigners to hate Igbos. She obviously didn't think about the implications of this before she started. Thousands of good Igbo men and women will start experience hatred without ing her foolish action. We should please stop hating, tribalism etc. How do you want children born to parents of both Yoruba/Igbo or Igbo/Bini to feel. This woman and her type across tribes should not be spear appropriate punishment to serve as deterrent to like minds. 3 Likes 2 Shares |
The naira does not have value so the analysis is trash. Defenders of this govt will never cease to amaze me. Make people leave work come dey farm cos of bad governance. ![]() Can you look beyond politics and talk economics? Did I hear you say the Naira is worthless and you still spend the worthless Naira as means of exchange? As if someone give you the worthless Naira you won't collect it? Hypocrisy of the highest level. One of the ways to fight the skyrocketing inflation is through massive food production. |

As I do not the protest, Mr President, you should cut your salary and direct the national assembly to cut their salary. You can't be living in luxury while the citizens are hungry. You brought Buhari who destroyed the economy so, you have to clean up the mess.
