Breaking Records in the Boardroom at Noon, Slaying on Heels At Night and Weekends — The Amazing Dupe Olusola

For many, work mood envelopes their social lives, restricts them from attending events and following up on latest trends, and most times, constricts their social walls, making core extroverts — emergency Introverts. These lifestyles ain't terrible; in fact, they call for more consciousness and dedication towards work and a career boost. That has been the reality of most female CEOs until a certain Dupe Olusola stepped into the scene and raised the bar, high!

First, she's no stranger to celebrity status as her husband, Lanre Olusola widely known as The Catalyst is a thought leader in business management and a life coach— he has inspired brands to massive growth and still does, but someway, somehow, his wife, Dupe stole the shine and Championed a new wave of feminine supremacy amongst the working class folks.

Dupe the numbers genius:

As Valentine Ozigbo stepped aside from the boardroom to fixate his ambition on politics, a little-known Dupe in the public scene but an Amazon hidden within the four walls of Heirs Holding — UBA circle emerged. She was to manage Nigeria's number-one hotel brand, Transcorp Hilton — the signature of excellence, the meetup of the high and mighty, a prestigious scenery — one that was built to imitate the "Y" Confluence structure — the meetup of River Niger and River Benue. She got involved, said nothing of her predecessors, but swung into duty. She came with her styles, camaraderie and sleek nature to not just transform the face of the brand but to populate the numbers, and they witnessed astronomical growth. In her first year, they had a massive profit, but the numbers that got people talking was that of Q1 2024. Like, they blew up and got more than 840% Profit Before Tax(PBT), which announced her presence as not just the perfect CEO but the template for growth and big numbers as far as the CEOship is concerned. She did not stop there; she dreamt of replicating the edifice of Eko Hotel Hall — the event centre capital of Nigeria; she thought of one, and immediately, they started to fix one. Her numbers helped push the shares of Transcorp in the NSE, and it was one of the highest gainers from 2023 - 2024.

Dupe the Social Influencer and a Lifestyle Blogger

50-year ageless beauty, Dupe spends her mornings, noon and sometimes late evenings in the boardroom, getting the numbers, building the winning team and making sure her vision for the brand is in progress, whilst she spends her nights and weekends, attending events, posing big for the camera and disturbing Africa with crisp clear and amazingly edited videos on Instagram. In fact, her TL was always buzzing with mashups of every and any latest sounds and trends that are in vogue. She made good use of social media to leverage her capacity as a functioning CEO, her brand as per her personality and to build a cult-like following among young women. She was never found wanting where there is fun for the revered 1 percent and VVIP folks. Her fashion sense is out of this world, and most times, she tugs it out with her daughter, who she out-dresses — Madam Dupe always looks hot and fly.

The Exit from TRANSCORP

Every good thing comes to an end, In late 2024/2025, she was to exit her cherished baby as the CEO, that decision by the board may have been influenced by a "tenure ship" purpose of the company, or some other factors, but what no one will ever write off is the fact that Madam Dupe Olusola reignited the fire of Transcorp that was put out a long time ago, placed it on a pedestal of massive profits and got shareholders all smiling to the bank. Madam Dupe stepped aside graciously and the numbers she presented whilst she was at the helms of affairs at the hotel made me cap her as one of my GOATs.

The following was what she did to turn the tide around after she was made the MD.

Dupe The Achievement and Achiever

• She introduced a drive-in cinema in the hotel parking lots, an extra means of revenue for the hotel.
• They had to go 'public' and started takeaway and delivery for their foods and other services.
• They opened their laundry service for non-guests; it is easy strictly for their guest beforehand.
• They curated a leisure and vacation package for travellers.
• Stirred up creative and engaging strategies to keep guest entertained whilst on their premises

The above resulted in the following;

• Revenue skyrocketed to the high heavens from N19BN to N70BN(This is in just 4 years).
• Their profit surged from N1B to N22.6BN annually.
• Their shareholders as I wrote earlier hit rhe bank smiling with an unprecedented growth from 7 kobos per share (at N536M paid in 2019) to 74 kobos per share (N7.5BN in 2024).

Dear females into 9-5, Dupe Olusola should be the template for success when you hit the leadership role. Disrupt the system, create a dynamic team of thinkers and growth-centric folks and pursue excellence — ; Good is the enemy of Great.

Lawrence Oyor, The Favour on his Head, The Call to follow Jesus and the Heavenly Accord — We will be many to sign up

Last year ended prophetically, with the prophet — though secular, announcing that JOY is coming. Many were not in tune with that message, they danced in clubs, bars and awkward places, but it unleashed what will be a year of the Gospel music domination. A certain Minister of the Gospel, who came in two—ejima— took that message personally and that started his global domination.

The Gospel industry had a not-too-good outing last year; from the Moses Bliss vs Ebuka Songs to the never-ending Eezetee vs Mercy Chinwo, the pendulum left Lagos/Abuja to the brown roof capital of Africa — Ibadan, to usher in a now-to-be-taken seriously and global Gospel sensation, Lawrence Oyor

Nobody ever expected Lawrence's song to take over—like a gospel song competing with a secular song on the chart; it was massive and a drift from the norm. It started with Favour — a prophetic utterance that blessed my January and February; they said once is a coincidence, twice an intentionality, but thrice is somewhat a god status! That was how Favour took the airwaves and became the sound of the new year.

The one he Featured, Sound of Salem — We Will Be Many was the start of a revolution, a revolution of dragging Gen Z and Gen Alpha to Christ, using their most preferred platform — TikTok as the social tool for the spread. It was everywhere, danced and the guys that made it go that viral were some dancers from East Africa. That sound is an apostolate expression, a sound that proposes that the kingdom will be massively populated; it didn't stop there; it was followed up by a confession.

The feature with Gaise — The first step to salvation is to follow the saviour. The song, though an old Gospel anthem in the Christian fold, but their remix was a call to attention: a confessional statement and a plea of allegiance to Jesus. As much as those who sang it subconsciously are confessing Jesus and His lordship, that sound also has since taken over the airwaves, gave Gaise his first major hit, and it is gradually making worshipping God in the 21st century way despite the craziness and wokeness of this present generation a super-reality and fun.

In all, Lawrence Oyor's name has gradually sunk deep in our system, and as Nathaniel Bassey, he's building a No-Bad sound for God's kingdom.

Shalom...

The making of South East's biggest real estate company — The SMART winning formula.

Seest though a man who is diligent in his ways, he will stand before, kings and giants and not mean men — This begins an episode to a man that shares the same name with me, and I have come to respect alot — Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor

From an ambitious and overtly political demi-god as a young student in Federal Polytechnic, Oko, this avant-garde built a lasting legacy with his giant leadership stride and to this day, his name can never be erased in the annals of the history book in the school.

After testing the turbulence in school politics, he delved into real politics and, like the Proverb I quoted earlier, he stood atop big names and persons that never wanted him to emerge victorious. His win was for the history books — a replica of David winning Goliath in the bible.

Today, beyond other businesses he controls, he has been able to build his brand — Reapfold Properties Limited as one of the South East's most trusted real estate firms. Yesterday, he, in the company of his team, awarded one of his most hardworking realtors, Onunkwor Stanley Ikem a Car — befitting of the many works he has put in for the company.

Words can't describe how much the young man has touched lives and inspired generations, even after he is gone, his name will still ring a bell as one that Came. Saw. Conquered and Built a Template.

To everyone who gathered yesterday at their summit, I applaud you guys for turning up for a friend, mentor and a big brother— bless you!

Elected officials are able to the people, and when they engage in misconduct, incompetence, or unethical behavior, they must be held responsible. The recall move against Senator Neda Imasuen and the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti highlight the urgent need for Nigerians to take action against lawmakers who abuse their mandate. Public office is a privilege, not a license for impunity.

Across the world, democratic nations uphold strict ability measures. Nigeria must do the same. Misconduct in the National Assembly delays critical legislation, misrepresents constituents, and damages national credibility. When senators violate rules or fail in their duties, they must face consequences. If Nigerians tolerate bad governance, it sets a dangerous precedent for more lawlessness.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has now released official guidelines for recalling any underperforming or unethical lawmaker.** Nigerians have the constitutional power to remove representatives who betray their trust. The process is clear; mobilize your constituency, submit a petition, and demand INEC’s intervention. It is time to use this tool effectively.

Complaints alone will not bring change, action is needed. Lawmakers work for the people, not themselves. If they misuse power, they must go. The recall of Senator Imasuen over incompetence and the suspension of Senator Natasha for misconduct should be the beginning of a new era of political ability.

The time for ive tolerance is over. Nigerians must rise, hold their leaders able, and reclaim the integrity of governance. INEC has provided the road map now the people must act.

On Friday, September 27, 2024, Prof. Joseph Ugboaja OON, Chief Medical Director of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), visited the First d Hospital of University of Zhengzhou, China - the world's largest hospital. This visit aligns perfectly with NAUTH's fifth strategic pillar: Partnerships and Collaborations.

With its impressive 10,000-bed capacity, the Chinese hospital serves as an inspirational model for NAUTH's ambitious plans. Currently, NAUTH is the largest hospital in Nigeria with a 1,400-bed capacity and aims to become Africa's biggest healthcare facility.

Prof. Ugboaja's visit was strategically motivated, focusing on two primary objectives:

1. Strategic Learning: The CMD sought insights into managing a massive healthcare facility, studying floor arrangements, patient care coordination, and automation systems. This knowledge is crucial as NAUTH expands towards becoming Africa's largest hospital.

2. Fostering Collaborations: In line with NAUTH's strategic plan and the Nigerian Health Sector Renewal & Investment Initiative (NHSRII), the visit aimed to establish partnerships for clinical training and research.

The similarities between NAUTH and the Chinese hospital are significant and inspiring:

Scale and Vision: Both institutions share the distinction of being the largest hospitals in their respective regions. NAUTH's ambition to double its capacity mirrors the Chinese hospital's large-scale operations.

Comprehensive Care: Like the Chinese hospital, NAUTH aims to offer a wide range of specialized services under one roof, from emergency care to complex surgeries.

Technology Focus: Both institutions prioritize technological advancement. NAUTH's plans to upgrade its automation system and EMR align with the advanced systems observed in China.

Research and Training: The emphasis on clinical training and research is a shared priority, with hospitals serving as significant medical education and innovation centres

Prof. Ugboaja stated, "Visiting this hospital provides invaluable insights for our vision. We share similar goals in scale, comprehensive care, and technological advancement. This visit reinforces our strategy and offers practical lessons for our expansion."

The CMD's focus on the Chinese hospital's patient movement, staff coordination, and material management across its vast complex highlights areas of mutual interest and potential collaboration.

This visit exemplifies NAUTH's commitment to its strategic pillars, particularly fostering international partnerships. As Prof. Ugboaja noted, "Partnerships and collaborations are central to our Vision 2030 strategic plan. We're creating a world-class institution through global learning and cooperation."

As NAUTH continues its journey towards becoming Africa's largest hospital, such international collaborations will play a crucial role in shaping its future. The similarities between NAUTH and the world's largest hospital in China serve as a testament to NAUTH's ambitious vision and potential for growth and excellence in healthcare delivery.

In the just-concluded Edo 2024 gubernatorial elections, a haunting specter of past electoral malpractice was resurrected, leaving the state's democratic values in tatters. The role of key actors—the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)—in orchestrating this travesty bears chilling resemblance to the electoral manipulation that stained Nigeria’s past. Late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, in a rare moment of integrity, publicly acknowledged the flaws in the election that brought him to power, marking the dawn of electoral reform efforts in Nigeria. Today, however, that spirit of reform has been corrupted into the disdainful phrase “Go to court,” a mantra of impunity that mocks the very essence of democracy.

This election was not just a contest for political office; it was a treacherous assault on the principles of social justice, equity, and fairness. What took place in Edo was nothing short of an unpardonable rape on the people’s hard-earned democratic values. Through a deviously orchestrated series of events, the electoral process was subverted, rendering the will of the people secondary to the interests of power-hungry elites. The conduct of INEC, which was expected to serve as a neutral arbiter, has instead cast doubt on its credibility, with reports of operational inefficiency, suspicious delays, and widespread disenfranchisement. Security agents, entrusted with maintaining peace, appeared complicit, turning a blind eye to voter intimidation, violence, and the brazen manipulation of votes.

The APC’s alleged rigging operations added salt to the wound, raising questions about the integrity of a victory gained through these dubious means. It was a fallout of an election so shoddily and unstrategically rigged that even the proclaimed winner cannot take pride in the outcome. This treacherous electioneering outcome not only disgraced Edo State but also threatened to provoke people towards self-help, testing the limits of their patience and belief in the system.

However, Edo people will not mourn for long. The true victims of this electoral heist are not Asue Ighodalo or any individual contestant, but the Nigerian electorate as a whole. The erosion of trust in the electoral system threatens to disillusion citizens, making future elections meaningless in the eyes of the people.

The Edo 2024 gubernatorial election should serve as a clarion call, a reminder that the battle for the soul of Nigeria’s democracy is far from over. Just as Yar'Adua rose to the occasion of electoral reform, so too must the people of Edo, and indeed Nigeria, rise again to demand ability, transparency, and a return to the values of fairness and justice that underpin true democracy.

In the face of Nigeria's current challenges, a pressing question arises: What does Nigeria truly need? As the country navigates through economic hardship, insecurity, and a leadership crisis, Nigerian youths have emerged as the Rubicon of hope, echoing an insatiable desire for good governance and a call to "take back Nigeria." However, amidst these aspirations, another critical question lingers: Are those we believe in ready to make the ultimate sacrifice for change? Who are the leaders capable of steering the nation toward a more prosperous future?

Across the nation, various regions offer a glimpse into what leadership could look like. Some regions are showcasing transformative leadership, while others remain stuck in the old order. In the South East, for instance, the changes in Abia raise the question: Can Imo, once a beacon of hope, regain its former glory? In Edo, the dilemma of prioritizing individual competence over party allegiance comes to the fore. As Nigeria stands at a crossroads, its future depends heavily on the choices we make today.

In Imo State, a microcosm of Nigeria's broader struggles, citizens face economic challenges, insecurity, and a widening disconnect between the government and the people. Yet, a glimmer of hope persists, rooted in the collective memory of a time when the state thrived under leaders of integrity, capacity, and a genuine commitment to public welfare. Imo once flourished under the stewardship of leaders like Achike Udenwa, the remarkable M.I. Okpara, and more recently, Emeka Ihedioha, whose brief tenure as governor left a lasting impression. These leaders exemplified governance that aligned with the people's interests, setting a precedent for what could be achieved.

A recent Hybrid Media Cluster Engagement with His Excellency Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha underscored the need for effective leadership and governance in Nigeria. In an open and forthright dialogue with journalists, Ihedioha addressed the crisis of governance in Nigeria, his future political ambitions, and the potential for effective leadership. The discussion highlighted the importance of preparation and sustained engagement with the media, particularly in light of the contentious Supreme Court ruling that prematurely ended Ihedioha's governorship.

Many participants expressed a prevailing sentiment: Imo's redemption is intricately tied to Ihedioha's return to power. The conversation also emphasized the importance of involving youth in the pre-election planning phase, recognizing that younger voters are increasingly inclined to candidates based on personality rather than party affiliation. Ihedioha's ability to connect with these groups through statements, shared reviews, and interactions was identified as crucial for building a broader base of .

During the engagement, Ihedioha provided a comprehensive of his political journey, from his time in the Parliament to his tenure as Governor of Imo State. He spoke ionately about his istration's efforts to prioritize good governance and highlighted his achievements as evidence of his capacity and pedigree. However, he clarified that this engagement was not a declaration of his candidacy but an opportunity to discuss ability in governance and explore the steps needed to position leading candidates for the elections.

Ihedioha emphasized the importance of community-led development and the domestication of constitutional processes through community engagement, a model for a people-centric government that should be amplified. He called on the media to focus on presenting credible alternatives to the current system of governance, stressing the need for opposition forces to present strong candidates rather than allowing internal party conflicts to sideline potential leaders.

As the conversation drew to a close, Ihedioha urged the media to foster discussions about credible alternatives and to engage the public on issues that could strengthen his brand while addressing the broader challenge of effective leadership and representation. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to bolster independent and collaborative efforts to engage the public on pressing issues affecting the state and the nation.

As Imo State navigates its current challenges, the dialogue with Ihedioha serves as a reminder that leaders of integrity still exist, willing and able to lead with a commitment to public welfare. The question remains: Will the people of Imo seize the opportunity to return to a path of merit and progress, or will they continue on a trajectory marked by mediocrity? The coming months will reveal much about the direction Imo's citizens choose to take.

---

At this critical juncture, Nigeria needs leaders who are not only willing to make sacrifices but are also committed to the principles of good governance. The youth, increasingly becoming the deciding factor in elections, must be vigilant and discerning in their choices. It is not enough to call for change; we must ensure that those in a position to effect that change are equipped, prepared, and truly aligned with the people's aspirations. The future of Nigeria depends on it.

This adage says, "To whom much is given, Much is expected." In the past years, when our former — not coming back — LG Boss was at the helm of affairs, the people reposed their love and for him. They felt he meant well, so they rallied around to make sure his victory was certain even as they believed every one of his campaign promises till he got the big break he needed. The people gave him their all, but what do they get in return? A failed and compromised LG Boss.

The big break he needed came, and like the average politician, nepotism swung on, the promises he toured around whilst campaigning were abandoned, and the autocratic leader was born.

There's no better way to capture the Failings of JC than my summarised points below;

Accessibility:

LG is the nearest link between the citizens and their government. The supposed LG boss, who should be walking around his people, taking notice of their plights, steered off that cliff as he employed sophisticated securities around him, moved with them all around and barely spent time in the LG, except his random trips to Asaba and out of Delta.

Leadership Gaps
:

Aniocha South LG became a haven of multiple taxations, cronies of the LG boss exploited market women's businesses, it was a cash cow to those loyal to his leadership style, and it created a massive disconnect between him and the people.

Lack of Infrastructural Development:

In all of the pleas for his ers and otimkpus to show working by showing the infrastructures he has carried out despite the Billions he has received over time, none has come forward to do any, and it's just mere talks and no working.

Total neglect of SMEs:

Small businesses that were deeply affected by economic woes in the nation were never remedied by a supposed leader. No intervention, despite the from the state. Those who had the opportunity to be enlisted were from his circle, and it did not even go around as supposed.

Guillble Structures:

Virtually most of the voltrons he has assigned to do media campaigns (mostly blackmail and social thuggery) for him are bereft of ideas, as they resort to name calling and spamming of all Aniocha and, by extension, Delta WhatsApp platform and Facebook groups.

It is pertinent to note that the only person we should give a chance to ister real leadership as he has done and is still doing is Bishop David Ilomechine. The party needs their best, and Bishop stands tall in that position.

Among the different levels of government in the country - federal, state, and local - the local government is the closest to the people. This makes it the most sensitive among the three, as it is responsible for the people at the last chain.

Therefore, the Local Government Chairman should possess great character, virtues and human feelings, as every policy they implement and every project they undertake must be people-friendly and contribute to the development of towns and communities in the local government.

However, over the past years, there has been a significant disconnect between the leaders in the local government and the people. This has resulted in the local government being retrogressive despite enjoying massive from the state government. The plight of the people has been overlooked, and some leaders, out of their desperation to continue exploiting the people, have disregarded the needs of the community.

It is now a free show of sycophancy and wild for someone who has not fulfilled a fraction of the promises made to the people prior to becoming the Chairman. The Chairman is not open to receiving queries and has security personnel armed to the teeth, which is surprising for a supposed leader that should be close and receptive to the people.

As the people of Anioma South Local Government call for a new face and representative for the local government, one man stands out as the man of the people. This is not solely because of his strong Christian background as a Bishop, but also due to his consistent benevolence to his people. He has gifted, encouraged, and even done the work of a Local Government Chairman as a private citizen.

It is undeniable that Bishop David Brian's leadership qualities make him a perfect fit for the Chairman position. He is a son of the soil who understands the plights and worries of the people and has always gone a step further to make things better for them, not only as a public servant but also as a citizen who cares for the masses. Imagine how much love and pro-people policies he will implement as the Chairman of the local government if given the opportunity?

Something that started via event management has become a standalone industry with creativity embellished and creatives breaking new ground in that space. We have seen so many top names from this part of the world, their amazing and never-seen ideas, and how they go about it. It is now a beauty to see them plan events from marriage engagements, to birthdays and public places with aesthetically pleasing makeshift location designs.

Back to the Igbos, there's this saying that once an Igbo person gets hold of an idea, they either amplify it to the highest heavens or create a replica to take over the original/former. Here comes a certain Amazon from the town with the highest concentration of millionaires per population in Africa, Nnewi. A selfless and embodied individual who can do any and everything if given the opportunity. She has a well-laid background in the catering and delicacy industry, much thanks to her father Mr. Ibezim Ojukwu who owns one of the most successful fast food chains and culinary schools in Anambra and by extension, South East.

Divine Ojukwu(aka ChefDee), the CEO of Chefdee Surprise started as a chef, who makes food for people who might be too busy to fix one or maybe can't make one, to expanding and floating a "surprise packaged outfit." Her transition did not take most people who knew her by surprise, cos she has always had this penchant for packaging every one of her products beautifully and her cling on excellence is legendary.

She has over the years put smiles to hundreds of clients who called her for jobs, has been a major boost to beautifying celebrations and events and has also added the latest technological advances to her approach to work even as her name is felt beyond the five southeast states. The energy she infuses into her service is out of this world, as she leads from the front most times to deliver their exquisite services, no matter the location. Since she got into the game, it has been from one growth story to the other, we hope to see how big they grow in the coming years even as they expand their tentacles beyond the shores of their comfort zone.

GEJ should throw his hat to the ring. The love Nigerians have for him is enough encouragement to get him going.

His presence would also stir positive and healthy competition as he has proven times without numbers that he’s for peace and a perfect gentleman.

The Traditional Ruler of Nanka kingdom in Anambra state, HRH. Igwe Godwin Ezeilo on Tuesday, the 19th of October , 2021 visited former aviation minister, Chief Femi Fani Kayode in his Abuja home.

The visit by the King has generated mixed reactions as many wondered why such a visit at this time.

A source close to the Igwe's palace revealed to us that the King is an inlaw to FFK as the embattled FFK's wife, Precious Chikwendu is like a daughter to the King as both hail from thesame town.

The source further revealed that the king embarked on the visit to FFK so as to meet with the family especially the 4 kids who are (Nwadiana) to the King.

Igwe Godwin Ezeilo and his wife prayed & blessed the Children and leaves them with comforting words.

The picture used there is not correct. That was when he had an accident along Nnewi and not the recent accident that almost crippled him.
The picture is rather misleading.

In understanding the effects of propaganda and the denial of truth, even when evidence stare us in the face, I take solace in the words of Mahatma Gandhi: "An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it."
In our clime, with its penchant to believe the vociferous majority or anything that is said to be trending or to have been shared multiple times on social media or regurgitated endlessly by a herd of people, truth is often obscured and character assassinated just because the vociferous chose gullibility over facts.

One of the most popular regurgitated propaganda tales in the forthcoming Anambra gubernatorial election is the attempt to link Sen. Andy Uba with the sad mayhem that befell Anambra state under the istration of Dr. Chris Ngige where a sitting Governor was kidnapped and public properties destroyed. The propagandists had sought to lay a nexus between that incident and Sen. Andy Uba, by simply citing a relationship with President Olusegun Obasanjo whom he served at the time as Special Adviser on Domestic Matters and Chris Uba, younger brother to Sen. Uba who is said to be linked with the incident. In their weird thinking, if Chris Uba is/was involved in that incident, then it can only be through the endorsement of his brother at the Presidency, hence without any proof seek to transfer a vicarious liability to Sen. Andy Uba. Indeed, the propagandists have gone a notch higher, heaping the entire liability on the whole Uba family - without any proof of any larger family connections.

But facts are stubborn, no matter how one tries to bend it, it remains inelastic. As at 2003, Chris Uba was a BOT member of the People's Democratic Party, the highest hierarchy of the party as its youngest member.

On the other hand, Sen.Andy Uba who was invited by President Olusegun Obasanjo to assist him from his United States of America (USA) base was only but a Domestic Aide to the President.
As a BOT member of the PDP, Chris had access to the President and the hierarchy of the party and needed no one to introduce him to the President.
In fact, President Obasanjo is no fool and no one could game or force him to do what he wished not to. Not only is he belligerent, President Obasanjo suffers no foolhardiness. He knows what he wants at any time and goes for it. It's only a mischievous genius of satire, therefore, that would try to insinuate that a no nonsense General Obasanjo was ever controlled by an SA on Domestic Matters, to do what he never wanted to do. Obasanjo never left anyone in doubt who was in charge of his government and anyone who tried to question his authority had scars that would never heal as evidence. It was, therefore, impossible for Sen.Andy Uba as a Domestic aide to force a stoic Obasanjo to take an action he, Obasanjo hasn't decided to.

Come to think of it, Obasanjo's use of unconventional methods to dislodge Governors who were opposed to him during his reign isn't in question. Gov. Joshua Dariye of Jos was impeached in a gestapo style with only six out of the 24 of the Plateau House of Assembly. Similar things played out in Bayelsa and Obasanjo attempted to use the same method in Lagos, illegally stifling the allocation of Lagos with no consequence.
To now seek to link Sen. Uba to the actions or inactions of President Obasanjo in office is most uncharitable and can only come from the wicked machinations of dangerous conspiracy theorists. I am sure no one in Nigeria can offhandedly mention the name of the present SA to the President on Domestic Matters, or any other in the history of Nigeria. Special Assistants to the President are low-key appointments within the Presidency, as they have no constitutional authority on any matter, or any functional powers and hence are always obscure and attend only to the personal needs of the President.
I know Nigerians love the illusions of power and arrogate it freely with their illusions. These illusionists have out of their imaginations arrogated an out-of-size power to Sen.Andy Uba while he was at the Presidency and from that imagination created obfuscating conspiracy theories.
It is necessary that I state that, in all public interviews granted by Ngige and others knowledgeable in the matter, none has ever linked Sen.Andy Uba to the saga. The propagandists and theorists are thus advised to try out their luck elsewhere.

For the records, there is no evidence or report anywhere that have, either directly or indirectly, linked Sen. Andy Uba to the mayhem in Anambra state in 2004.
Anyone who claims otherwise is hereby challenged to provide evidence.
In fact, anyone who knows Sen.Andy Uba up close will testify that he is a perfect gentleman incapable of hurting a fly and exudes goodness at all times. This is probably why enormous goodwill has continued to flow towards his ambition to become the Governor of Anambra state from all over the country. Sen. Uba is not obligated by law to bear any vicarious liability for his brother Chris, or indeed, anyone else. He can only answer to any crime committed by himself and no one else. So far, despite serving eight years at the Senate and eight years at the Presidency, not one corruption charge has been brought against him. This remains an insistent fact.

In his eight years at the Senate, Andy went on to become one of the most profligate in of bills. I am not sure anyone in the South East did better than him, and the quality of the bills would leave an unbiased observer amazed, especially at his adept focus on what really matters. There's no community in Anambra South Senatorial Zone - which he represented - that does not have at least, one constituency project from Sen. Uba while he was at the Senate, especially projects related to educational infrastructure.
In 10 years, I doubt if any Senator from Anambra South will beat his records at the Senate. Because these things were under reported, the propagandists have latched on to this error to label him an underperformer. But, the facts are stubborn and it will not cow to anyone.
