A man named Ahmed Oladimeji, has been sentenced to four months imprisonment by the Federal High Court in Abuokuta, Ogun State for sending pornographic and indecent pictures via a computer.

Oladimeji was found guilty of a one-count amended charge that bordered on sending pornographic and indecent pictures through a computer system.

He pleaded guilty to the offence which is contrary to Section 24 (1)(a) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention Etc) Act, 2015, and punishable under Section 24(1)(b) of the Act.

His plea was a sequel to the plea bargain arrangement he reached with the Commission through his lawyer, which informed the amended charge he was convicted of on Thursday.

Aside from serving Four months of jail time, he was ordered to refund all money back to his victims.

The Supreme Court will give Final Verdict On 2018 Osun State Governorship Election today.

The victory of Governor Oyetola of the APC is being challenged by Senator Adeleke of the PDP.

APC and PDP Have spoken on their expectation the Supreme Court gives the final verdict on the Osun governorship election.

The Judgement will determine the legal occupant of the Osun State Governor seat.

“We are highly hopeful. We believe in the rule of law. That is why we went to the tribunal to seek redress. We believe in the Supreme Court that is the highest body that looks at the point of law," the PDP chairman in the state, Soji Adagunodo said.

“We believe that what we have presented to the Supreme Court, the result will be given to Senator Ademola Adeleke and the PDP.

“Whatever, the court gives today is the final and becomes law for the future. The result will be favourable,” he said.

Similarly, the publicity secretary for Osun APC, Kunle Oyatomi, was quoted as saying: “We are expecting victory tomorrow. We have laid before the Supreme Court justices our very good case, well narrated and presented. It is a very simple thing. Elections held and INEC declared us the winner.

“Oyetola is in Abere doing his job and for all it takes, he will remain there by the grace of God.” “It is not only in Osun that we have this case of an inconclusive election. So, to me and from the legal eye view, there is nothing to worry about,” he added.

Nonetheless, the APC Publicity secretary said the party's not hoping to be defeated while the PDP chieftain promised they will concede defeat if the Supreme court gives final judgement in Favour of the APC.

Two Chinese working with an Aluminium and Glass Company In Edo State has been Kidnapped by Gunmen.

The incident happened in Utesi community along the Benin-Auchi Road.

A policeman attached to the victims was shot dead by the gunmen, during a gun battle.

It was reported that the victims were going home after work when they were attacked an taken.

A source who choose to be anonymous said: "As soon as the victims came out of the company’s premises, the gunmen, who apparently had been waiting for them, started trailing them.”

Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr DanMallam Muhammed, confirmed the event.

“Yes, the incident was reported to us yesterday (Wednesday). We are working hard to rescue the victims from the kidnappers,” he stated.

Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo's Conduct in the Abuja Shop has been condemned by his State Chapter of The People's Democratic Party (PDP), Adamawa State, and Also by the people of his constituency.

Nonetheless, they pleaded that his apology be accepted and he should be forgiven.

Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo Apologised for slapping a woman in an Abuja Toy Shop on Wednesday.

Adamawa state chapter of the PDP Called a news briefing yesterday in Yola and some of his constituents who spoke to the media also condemned his act.

"Being has the propensity to err. It is upon this premise that we call on the lady, who was assaulted and her immediate family to forgive the excesses of Senator Abbo. We equally plead with the generality of Nigerians and particularly, the female folk, to find a place in their hearts to forgive the senator." The press statement read.

The PDP State Chairman also said he was confident Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo won't repeat same conduct again, he also pleaded with the Senate which has opened an investigation on the case to tender justice with mercy.

A 90 Years old man named James Saliu has been Arrested by the Ondo State Command of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for selling Indian Hemp.

The state commander of the NDLEA, Mr Haruna Gagara Noted that 90-Year-Old James Saliu has been Notorious in the community for selling Indian Hemp.

The State commander also noted that James Saliu was arrested but later granted bail due to his age and medical Condition, and he will be prosecuted accordingly once his health condition gets stable.

An Indian Man named Mohammad Furqan, 21 Years old was pronounced dead by Doctors, got Death Certificate issued to his family on his behalf, but the family found out he was still alive moments before his Burial.


Mohammad Furqan was involved in an accident on 21st June and was taken to Hospital for treatment. After receiving treatments for a few days, the doctors declared him dead on July 1st.

Upon hearing the pronouncement, his family began making plans for his body to be delivered home, they also secured the service of an Ambulance.

Mohammad Furqan’s body was sent home and had his grave dug, while they were about to lay his corpse into the grave, his brother Mohammad Irfan spotted movements being made by the ‘corpse’ and called in the attention of the rest of their family , only to discover that his brother who was pronounced dead by doctors is still alive.

Mohammad Furqan’s brother made the following statement on NDTV;

“Devastated, we were preparing for the burial when some of us saw movement in his limbs. We immediately took Furqan to the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital where the doctors said he was alive and have put him on ventilator .

“We had paid Rs. 7 lakh (£80) to the private hospital earlier and when we told them that we had run out of money, they had declared Furqan dead on Monday.”

Doctors currently assigned to treat him at ‘Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia hospital’ has confirmed that Mohammad Furqan’s in Critical condition but his brain’s not dead. The doctors also reveal he has a Pulse, his Reflexes and blood pressure are working and he has been put on Life .

Just Recently, North Carolina State Parks and Recreation posted pictures of a Snake referred to as “Zombie Snake” which was found in its park field.

The snake specie is known as Heterodon plat rhinos, or more commonly, the eastern hog-nose snake.

Zombie snakes are known to measure up around 20 to 33 inches long and have a slightly upturned, pointed snout, according to Florida Museum. Zombie Snakes are known to appear in various colors such as Yellow, tan, olive, brown, gray, orange or reddish brown with dark blotches.

According to the Florida Museum, Zombie Snakes are harmless.

Many people in the world might think that the most expensive things are the things that are invented newly or things that are modern.

It will impress you to know that some of the most expensive and treasured things we have today are things that some people might call “Old Fashioned”.


The Huia Bird’s feather is the most valuable feather in the world.

The Huia bird is specie of New Zealand wattle bird, endemic of the North Island of New Zealand.

Its scientific name is Heteralocho Acutirostris, it is said to belong to the kingdom of Animalia and it

The Huia bird existed many thousand years ago and was last seen in 1907.

It appears to be a remnant of an early expansion of erines in the country of New Zealand. The people of New Zealand treasures bird, maybe that’s why the Huia bird feather is one of their most important assets.



The Huia bird is described to have black plumage with a green metallic tinge and distinctive orange wattles at the face. Their eyes are brown, their legs and feet are long and bluish grey, while the claws are lightly brown. They have long tail feather tipped with a striking broad band of white. The female bird has long, thin and arched downward beak which is about 48cm long, while that of the male is short and stout and 45cm long.

Huia was often silent.



When they vocalize, their call could travel a considerable distance. It was recorded that it was the first bird to sing in the dawn with its beautiful melody.

Huia birds were rare and weren’t rampant as other birds. They lived in ancient ecological primary forest.



Like it was said earlier, the Huia bird is specie of the New Zealand wattlebird which existed many thousand years ago. Today, the Huia bird doesn’t exist because it is an extinct bird. It extinction has two primary causes.

The first major cause of it extinction is the over hunting of the Huia bird which were used as specimens. Their feathers were used for hat decorations and their skins for mounted specimen.



The second major cause of its extinction was the wide-spread of deforestation of the lowland of the North Island by European settlers to create pasture for agriculture. Most of these forests were ancient and ecologically complex primary forest, the Huia birds were unable to survive in secondary forest.


The bird lived in forest at both montane and lowland elevations, they move seasonally, they live at the higher elevation during summer and during winter they descend to the lower elevation. Huia were omnivorous, they usually eat spider, grubs, adult insects as well as the fruit of a small number of native plants.

The male and female Huia use their beak to feed in different ways: the female longer, more flexible bill was able to probe deeper areas while the males used their bill to chisel away at rotting wood.



Huia was treasured by the Maowas and was kept as a pet. It could be trained to say a few words even through its body language.

Huia is one of the best known extinct birds by the New Zealand because of its bill shape and its sheer beauty.



Huia are regarded by the Maori as sacred. Those who wear the skin or the feather of Huai were regarded as people of high status and were given great reverence.

After the extinction of this bird, there was a report about the sighting of Huia Twenty to Thirty years after it extinction which was unconfirmed.



For Maori, the Huia Bird was revered as a symbol of nobility, leadership and hierarchy.

The white tipped tail feathers were mainly used as adornments which signify the authority to which one holds.

The Huai Bird’s Feather was also exchanged as gift of friendship to men of high status in other country. Because of this, the European settlers soon adopted the wearing of the Huia Bird’s feather as a symbol of great esteem. Dried heads and beaks of Huia Bird were fashioned into gold capped pendants. The increased desires of Huia Bird as an asset lead to the extinction of the bird.

Normally, things that are most valued and cannot be found easily are really expensive.

Considering how long the Huia bird has existed and the time at which the bird went extinct, anyone who still has a feather of this bird is considered to have something valuable.
