Nobody is stopping Mr Ubah from sharing his views. He was on air yet he could not say what he believes can save the Naira. Why does he want special consultancy to help his country. A lot of Nigerians debate our problems and solutions openly on air so that others can hear and enrich the debate, but Ubah want consultancy from the government before he can advise them. So much for patriotism.
In case you don't know, anything that has to do with the government has to follow a due process.Uba cannot force himself on the government. He has made his claim. Its now left for the government to give him a trial.

Ordinarily, I should not comment on this thread since Ubah has not mentioned how he would go about it. However, for the benefit of those who might get swayed by his cheap claims, I'll say something.
---
The exchange rate (PRICE of dollars) is determined primarily by SUPPLY of dollars (through exports, FDIs, foreign borrowing, etc) and DEMAND for dollars (through imports, payments of foreign school fees/medical bills, online purchases, etc). The NET flow of these transactions determine the Balance of Payments (BOP) with the Central Bank. Elementary economics tells us that when demand exceeds supply, prices go up!
---
Coming back to Nigeria, it is well known that oil s for 95% of our FX earnings. As oil prices have collapsed from ~$100 in 2014 to ~$30, our supply of dollars has dropped tremendously. This is even worse when one considers that our cost of oil production is ~$20/bbl, meaning that our dollar revenue from oil has dropped from ~$80/bbl to ~$10/bbl. On the demand side, the request for imports are increasing. With such supply shock and increasing demand, there is only one way for the exchange rate to go. This is basic economics and has nothing to do with Emefiele or Buhari, except you are simply being mischievous or grossly ignorant.
---
When oil collapsed from around $147 to $38 due to the 2008 Global Financial Crisis (GFC), Nigeria had a Foreign Reserve of ~$62bn. The then CBN Governor had to spend ~$20bn from the Reserves to meet import demand thereby preventing devaluation/depreciation. Between 2011 & 2014, oil price was above $100, meaning that the istration never had a dollar supply problem and so could maintain a stable exchange rate. Fast forward to late 2014 when oil prices slid to ~$60, the CBN had to devalue the Naira twice within a period of 6 months (Nov 2014 & Feb 2015) because the Reserves were too low (<$35bn) to deplete to imports. Now in 2016, oil prices are around $30/bbl while FX Reserves is less than $28bn. The supply shock has reached unprecedented levels, yet demand for imports has not decreased. There is absolutely no way that the exchange rate can stay below N250/$. Simple economics says that price will continue to move till a new equilibrium is reached where demand equates supply.
---
There is no policy from Emefiele, Soludo, Greenspan, Bernanke or any other Central Bank governor that can strengthen the Naira in the near term. Except we want to completely deplete the Reserves or go to the IMF to borrow SDRs just to meet import demands. Brace up folks, if oil price collapses to $20 (thereby increasing the supply shock) the exchange rate shall hit N1000/$ and I repeat, this has nothing to do with Emefiele or Buhari but simply economic forces. The only thing that can save the Naira is either for SUPPLY of dollars to increase (through high oil price) or DEMAND to reduce. Since we do not have control over the supply side, we can at least focus on managing the demand side.
---
So Mr Ifeanyi Ubah, you have zero knowledge on what you are talking about. With all the money you made from the last government, you can start by building a refinery or some other manufacturing facility (like Dangote) to help us substitute for imports. That would help the Naira more than you seeking cheap consultancy from the government. Or except you want to broker a deal for the government to give amnesty to your Dasuki-Gate friends, so they can bring out stashed up dollars from soakaways and graveyards to the economy.
You are part of our problem.Nigeria has many people like you and yet we suffer in the mist of plenty.Imagine you have this knowledge yet we are still sinking in hardship.I guess if the guy that invented air plane has shared his idea with you,you would have discouraged him saying its not possible and quoting all the ancient science that you know.lets give that guy a chance lets know if he really has something to offer so that we do not treat him like a certain Dr Agbalaka who claimed he has the cure for HIV only for the Nigerian medical association threatened him till they killed his dream. You are a typical black man

That is one senseless thing about this government ,always on witch hunt. So if tompolo did not work against APC in bayelsa, efcc would hv relaxed their chase on him?I said it before and I will say it again,I don't believe in pub's anti corruption war because it is partial and only meant for perceived enemies.Nigeria is able to continue the fight against boko haram because there is money from Niger delta oil to procure ammunition. By the time this istration end up steering the hornet nest and more of our oil pipelines are blown up,we will be so broke that we can't even afford to buy a single AK 47.I blame buhari because he has given people the reason to believe that they can't get justice in court.Buhari should stop interfering on our judicial process with his unlawful arrests. He should rather channel his energy in bringing Nigeria out.of our present mess.

I am aware of this matter because i was residing at oke-afa last year. The police has been briefed about this matter but i dont think they are interested. The government agencies are also not interested. The worst is that people who wrote petitions to the police on this matter got the beatings of their lives because the police will always release the identities of the petitioners to the hoodlums. What a country.

The question is why do we chose to leave flamboyantly in the time of scarcity. The new government presented themselves as modest people drinking tea with 10 naira sachet milk and milo but now the budget for feeding in aso rock is about 1.7 billion.

Hahahhaa. Igbo people are very funny. Even this failed actor still wants to talk. PMB has really changed. Imagine if it was when he was a head of state, this Kenneth Okonkwo would have been thoroughly flogged.
Kenneth filed a suit as a citizen of federal Republic of Nigeria. The article I read neither has igbo nor biafra mentioned in it but hateful yellow bar like you will always want be who you are. This hate about Igbo people is a generational course inflicted on your people the devil. FYI information, PMB is not God but human so don't trust in him or you get disappointed . governance is by brain not by force.Receive some sense bro.

This man needs help.
Mental illness is something we all overlook, and a lot of people suffer from it. It has no spiritual undertone, sometimes people just go through stuff in life that makes them snap and want to end it all.
I have lost two friends through suicides, and tend not to joke about stuff like this. Hopefully, this man finds that help he craves for, as killing one's self is usually not the answer.
Rather, Nigeria needs help because if a man can climb our power transmission tower and stay alive, it means the government has failed us. This government once said power generation is not rocket science and now people have upgraded from hugging transformer to power transmission tower.

That was the original frivolous petition by the integrity group that caused all the brouhaha in the past. The case is in the court. This is not new.
I never knew someone can be as daft as you.I thought PMB said none of his ministers currently has a case in court yet you are claiming that the case is in court.Who is deceiving who?

This is a welcome development. As an employee in the utility industry, I know how distraught I normally feel when customers come to me to complain bitterly about fixed charges.
For people that didn't grasp the full implications of this new tariff plan, here's a simple explanation. By the scrapping of fixed charge regime, energy consumers will only have to add #11, 10 or 12 naira to what their current charge is. For instance, if I used to be charged #2000 per month (fixed charge included), I will now be charged #1350 + 11= 1361. It means that NERC removed 700 from consumers billing and added 11. This new arrangement will no doubt benefit holders of prepaid s more than postpaid.
Cool!
Your assumption is wrong. Here is the implication.
1) Without Fix Charge
Ikeja DISCO for instance is currently charging N14.96 per kWh. and if an increase of N8 is made per kwh it means that the cost of power (kwh)will now be 22.96
therefor, if i want to recharge my prepaid meter with N5000
i will get 5000/22.96 = 217.77 units
2)With Fix charge
Ikeja DISCO for instance is currently charging N14.96 per kWh
therefor, if i want to recharge my prepaid meter with N5000
if i subtract 750 from 5000 i.e N5000-N750= N4250
With my N4250 balance,I can purchase my power at N14.96 per kWh which will give me 4250/14.96 =284.1 units
By then they would have shortchanged you of 284.10 units - 217.77 units= 66.33 units.
whereas N750/month fix charge worth 50 units of power its easy to access how far you are shortchanged depending on how much you recharge/month.

In 2012, I was transferred to ibadan. I have lots of girlfriends in lagos and don't want to date any new girl in ibadan, so me and my friend that was transferred to ibadan together became regulars at a brothel. Me and my friend had just 2 customers we patronize.
6 months later (early 2013) I was transferred back to Lagos . After I left, I do invite one of the girls to Lagos because she is too good in bed till I lost her when my phone got lost (December 2013).
We all travelled home yesterday due to sallah celebration. I was surprised when I saw my younger brother come with the prostitute in ibadan and introduced her to me as his fiancee. I just stood there not knowing what to do because I was expecting the girl to feel somehow and but she didn't even show any fear. Throughout the day She was everywhere cooking and joking with everybody around there.
I thought she was pretending not to know me but I didn't confront her, so I asked for some of her pix from my brother and sent it to that my friend if he knows the girl and he was quick to tell me that's the girl I do bleep in ibadan. But when I told him of the relationship between my brother and the girl, he told me to tell our parents and my brother so they can cancel the relationship that the girl isn't worth it.
Now am confused, I don't know if the girl is pretending or she doesn't recognize me anymore because of her numerous customers. I don't know if I should tell my brother or just keep quiet. Advice me pls
Na you be the maga. You think say na only you know the road to a brothel, your brother also does. You use to sleep with the gals and you even invite them to Lagos because according to you the gals were good in Bed.On the contrary, your brother did not only invite his own home like you did but also proposed marriage.Keep wailing because what goes around comes around.

I went to visit one of my Aunty at Abuja, just recently I discovered that she has been cheating on her husband, she has more than 6 different guyz that she's sleeping with and my annoyance is that she senior all of them and now she has started bringing them to the house when the husband is off to work.
Yesterday one visited and she removed the soup I suffered myself to cook and gave to the guy to take home (can you imagine, with her husband's hard earned money) I was angry and I talked to her as her niece even though she paid a deaf ear to what I said. Later in the night, the husband returned home and she was busy talking to one of her numerous boyfriends on phone without even noticing the presence of her husband, the husband was very mad at her to the extent of him smashing her phone. I felt bad that I have decided to take my leave because I can't stand seeing my own aunty become so cheap and people especially those in our neighborhoods have started calling her a cheap prostitute.
The husband is a good man and for the past few weeks have stayed with them I know he is a good man, he always tries his best to make her happy but she isn't seeing all that.
As it is now, she used my phone to call her numerous boyfriends this morning telling them what the husband did last night.
Please my fellow friends, I want to send text messages to all her boyfriends asking them to leave my aunt alone and also let them know that 'Law of KARMA' will surely find them one day, let her concentrate with her kids and her husband, I really don't want her marriage to crash.
please what should I do?
Can you give me your aunt's number let me counsel her

OK Let's solve the maths.
Let 270 million naira = the sum Ohakim is charged with and 1.35 billion naira =the sum Sule Lamido is charge.Y=270= Ohakim's bail sum.x=Sule Lamido's bail sum.In Ohakim's case 270=270.
X=Lamido &Sons bail sum=75 mill. conclusion x not equal to 1.35 billion
There is God oh
