Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Kogi State University, Anyigba Chapter has been forced by the Kogi State Government to embark on an indefinite, total and comprehensive 'strike' action beginning from today Friday 3rd February, 2017.
Recall that the t Action Congress (JAC) of all non teaching staff unions of the state owned tertiary institutions were equally compelled by the Kogi State Government and had embarked on similar indefinite 'strike' action since Tuesday 31st January, 2017
This would be the second time the union is embarking on another strike action is less than 6 months

Things have been put in place at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Collation Center in Edo state as Nigerians await announcement of results of the governorship elections. Out of the 19 candidates, Edo citizens are apprehensive of who will be their next helmsman.


The two leading candidates in the Edo State governorship election, Godwin Obaseki of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has urged the public to disregard purported results of the Edo state governorship election making the rounds on social media.
Only INEC or its designated officials can announce results, the commission said.

Born in Magura, Bangladesh, he has wrinkles, hollow eyes, a shrunken body and a thick layer of hair on his back. Local doctors were left stunned as to what the cause of his ageing is – but they believe he has progeria – a rare condition which causes him to age quickly.

The condition – which affects just one in four million – often restricts children from having a normal
life and causes their body to age faster than it should.

His parents are however over the moon with the birth of their ‘miracle’ child and can’t hold back their happiness. DailyMail reports Father Biswajit Patro said:
‘We can only thank God. There is no need to be unhappy about the appearance of my son. We will accept him the way he is. We are so happy to have a baby boy in the house.
‘We are already blessed to have a daughter. Now we are a family of four. What else can we ask for.’

Doctors at the local hospital have assured the family the baby will do well for now. His family remain positive he will grow up healthily despite most children with the condition not living past the age of 13.
