It depends on how your broker interpret their lot mechanism. For example, 0.5 in Hotforex means 5$ per pips whereas in other brokers, it could be 5cent or 50cent per pip please try interacting with your broker to know more before you wipe out your .



You are off to a good start it means you have discovered. I don't trade news but am working on the method. That is no indicator at all but know the schedule.

The bolded is as simple you can think. Just from the henry liu pic u ed asking the question on how to trade d news, u will see the previous news effect, the expected news effect, and the actual news effect which will not show until the news is released(henry liu put N/A there as we can see). Now when the news is released the value at which it is released becomes the actual news effect for another time such kind of news will be release for that currency. As of the expected value u see there? I believe it was coined from fundamental analysis.
If the news is released and the deviation is satisfactory we go long or short depending on the direction of the news impact and the pair which we choose to trade. Let's say dey release news for USD and the deviation(difference btw the previous and actual) is cool and is going up. U buy any pair having usd as d base currency and sell any pair having usd as the quote currency(indirectly ur still buying usd).

All the news shown on that site are all high impact news, what you need to do is just to wait for the actual news(N/A) to be released.
For the actual new,check on investing.com, click on economic calendar then set your GMT time to +1 brussel.
so on WED 8.30am, US CORE RETAIL SALES, we have to our right the old news released to be 0.2%, the predicted value at the middle to be 0.2% also, while the actual news to be release is still N/A, so to trade it, there must be a actual news value above/below 0.2% of the predicted value.
so if the actual released was 0.5% upward then we buy the pair affected like the USD/CAD or sell NZ/USD and if the actual released was -0.3% downward then we sell the pair affected like the USD/JPY or buy EUR/USD.
Don't worry, for safety the pairs to be traded are always listed on the site.
but if there is no change in the predicted and actual, then you don't trade.
To trade the news, you have to be very fast. You can minimize your investing.com site and BOM acct site on your MT4 platform so that you can view how market is doing and also be able click on buy on sell at anytime the news favour you and please do not enter when trade has already started in the market b'cos it moves very fast, these type of trade is called trading the spike, I use 3mins for the spike.
