EVILFOREST:

The entire NIGERIAN Nation which you claim is BIG is SMALL my Brother.
CALIFORNIA State in the United states is Half the size of the entire Nigerian Federation.

TEXAS is 2/3rd the size of the entire Nigeria.
ALASKA is bigger than Nigeria+Benin+Togo+Ghana all put together.
These are just 3 STATES ooooo
Yet our Population in Nigeria is chasing that of the United States with the speed of Light.
That's the only DEVELOPMENT we are good at grin grin grin grin

No doubt the entire SOUTHEAST is small but it's 2 times bigger than Jamaica. grin grin.
QUESTION of the DAY:
Now if it's really small, why does the Nigerian Government find it difficult ceding such a small portion to self actualisation with territorial integrity, if they could easily cede a small Bakassi..?

Good one

Unfortunately, stress is something that most Nigerians don't talk about, talkless of treat.

Stress kills. But many people do not understand the threat pose by stress. Stress is not a normal life.

Top 10 good questions and top 10 questions you should never ask at an interview.

As always, no two interviews can be the same as there are always different factors that determine how an interview will go.

The interviewer, the ambience, the questions answered and the ones you ask can all play different roles on the outcome.

Questions To Ask
1. Please describe the culture of your organization:
What this question does is subtly a message to the interviewer that you are also interested in wether the organization is the right fit for you. It is important that you are comfortable with the culture.

2. Please shed more light on the day-to-day responsibilities of this role?
You don't want to be hired for a role you thought was only to be asked to go buy food from Iya Shina. Learning the day-to-day tasks also gives an insight to specific skills and strengths needed.

3. Can you outline the typical career path for someone in this role?
Here, the interviewer will sense your need for career advancement. It also indicates your interest in growing within the org. However, don't ask in a way that'd sound self-serving.

4. What important qualities do I need to excel in this role?
Oftentimes, there are some valuable information that’s not included in the job description. This question can help unfold more about the expectations. That way, you can work towards being a good fit.

5. What are the main challenges and opportunities the organization is facing?
Thing is, if you know the org has recently launched a service / product you could work this into the question by asking how it's is being received – this also shows them that you’ve done your research.

6. Can you tell me a bit about your background?
The interview should never be about you and the role alone. It's good to also show interest in the interviewer / recruiter. This also helps in building rapport & finding common ground with the person interviewing you.

7. How is success defined for the team I will be working in?
This question will help highlight the organization's priorities. Hence, you can compare and contrast with your own goals. It will also clarify what the business expects from their teams.

8. Is there anything we haven’t discussed or that you want to know that would help you with the hiring decision?
This question helps you offer the opportunity to fill any gaps that the interviewer might have noticed. It also helps you dot all 'i's and cross all 't's.

9. Can you tell me the challenges I might face if hired for this role?
This is another opportunity for the interviewer to talk about the specifics of the role. It is also aimed at selling yourself. Like, “Oh, I faced a similar challenge, but here’s how I handled it…”

10. What are the next steps and when should I be expecting to hear from you?
What this question does is show that you are eager to move to the next stage. It also helps you gain vital info about the timeline for hiring. That way, you can follow-up appropriately.

Always using these key points to ask questions at an interview:
- Specifics of My Role
- My Team and Expectations
- My Learning and Development
- The Organizational Culture and Business Goals
- The Interviewer
- Next Steps

Questions You Shouldn't Ask.

1. How often can I work from home? Do I need to be here always?
Even if the org allows employees work from home always, this kind of question creates a bad first Impression. It also indicates you might be a pain to work with and/or to manage.

2. How soon and often will I be promoted?
Asking this kind of question will only make you come off as arrogant and somewhat entitled. There's a better way to ask about your development at the org and this isn't really a good way.

3. Does the org monitor social media activities?
Except you have something to hide, you really shouldn't ask this kind of question. It's a topic better left undiscussed. When you raise concerns, it becomes a red-flag and the recruiter would rather just go with another candidate.

4. Don't ask questions related to your salary or benefits.
Always questions or negotiations regarding salary/benefits don’t come into play until after an offer has been extended. Asking this question means you are assuming you now have the job. Anty, Bros calm down.

5. Would you like to grab coffee or drink later?
There's been many cases of candidates asking interviewers this question. It's a NO-NO. This comes off as trying to influence the hiring decision, or that you are more interested in a date. If anything at all, let them initiate it.

6. Do you do background checks?
Are you hiding something? LOL.
Thing is, this question seem harmless, but you might have less time to explain why you've asked. Don't sow a seed in the heart of the interviewer that you won't be able to harvest. Hence, it can affect opportunity.

7. What does this organization do?
Really? As much as the interviewer will tell you this, they expect you do your research very well. If they do not ask you what you know about them, don't ask them what they do. Simple.

8. Does your organization monitor email use and web browsing while at work?
Again this question raises questions of 'what are you hiding?'. Will you be actively working on personal stuff while at work, and you don't want your company to find out? Of course, org now monitor all.

9. Would you like to see my references now?
Common. You might seem desperate.
A hiring process is like dating.
You don't ask to arrange an introduction until you are both sure you are good for each-other and would like to take the relationship to another level.

10. Can I arrive late or leave early as long as I complete my hours?
No one told us you were the son of the CEO. If they had, we wouldn't be conducting an interview for you. LOL.
What you are practically trying to do is dictate your work hours. No.
Patience is really a virtue.

It is important to avoid questions that raise red flags on:
- Honesty
- Integrity
- First Impression
- Hard Work
- Security
- Greed
- Patience and gradual growth
As always, it is important to engage in a professional manner.

Be Professional.
Speak Professionally &
Ooze Professionalism.

All the best!

When searching for a job or looking out for a new one, it is not enough to be qualified for the job. You need to know how to the interview stage. There are certain interview mistakes that can prevent you from getting hired even if you are the best fit for the job. What this means is that you might be academically qualified for the job, possess the right skillset to be productive and even have tonnes of experience and still not get hired. Why? The reason is simple. Employers pay as much attention to your performance at a job interview as they do to your CV, work experience, qualifications and certifications.

Always that when you get invited for a job interview, you are contesting for the job with several other candidates. This is the point where you want to steer clear of mistakes that can jeopardise your chances of getting hired.Failing to do Your Research

You can’t just walk into a job interview without any prior preparation or research. You need to find out and understand what the company does. Find out who your potential employer’s target audience is. Take a look at what their competitors are doing. The more information you have, the better equipped you would be to respond to the interview questions. This will help you understand the relevance of your skills to the needs of the company
Answering Questions Like It’s an Exam

A job interview is not an examination where all that is required of you are specific responses. It is not enough to answer the interviewer’s questions satisfactorily as you would do for an oral academic assessment.

Your goal at job interviews is to get the interviewer off his/her script. What does this mean? Most interviewers can almost predict the responses of candidates especially when the responses eventually come out as short and breezy. You can achieve this by sharing relevant examples of how you demonstrated similar skills in your previous employment or a current one. Never forget that your goal is to stand out at the interview. Give the interviewer a reason to see you as the best fit for the job.
Not Citing Examples

Most employers want employees who bring experience and insight into their existing strategies and targets. When responding to questions, feel free to cite various examples and scenarios that buttress your competence for the job. You must, however, ensure that they are relevant.

Showing Off

Employers love confident candidates but you should be cautious not to cross the line of confidence into the zone of showing off. Intellectual arrogance is not taken lightly by interviewers and you don’t want to mar your chances by expressing yourself or acting in a way that could be considered annoying. Present your skills and experience but try not to overdo it. Moderation is the keyword here.
Mobile Phone Distraction

We cannot overemphasize this, especially in this digital age. Mobile constitute a huge distraction to both you and the interviewer during interviews. The moment you step into the venue of the interview, to either switch your phone off or opt for a silent profile. Mobile phone addiction remains a big turnoff for interviewers and employers.

Not Asking Questions

Not asking questions during an interview shows a lack of genuine interest in the company. In some cases, it makes the interviewer question your intelligence and general enthusiasm. The interviewer is bound to ask you several questions but you should also have questions of your own. Don’t just ask random questions, make sure they are relevant.

Negative Comments About Previous or Current Employer

Very few things hurt your chances of getting a job as much as dropping negative vibes and comments about a previous or current employer at a job interview. It speaks volumes about your capacity to carry resentment. Interviewers are often quick to realise that you are very likely to speak negatively about the company when you are no longer with the company. Instead, eYou don’t want to be that candidate who avoids eye during an interview. Other things that you do that indicate poor body language include a weak handshake, not smiling or not sitting appropriately. All of these add up to show a weakness in character, underconfidence and a tendency to hide something.

Not Paying Attention

Imagine making an interviewer repeat several questions over and over again or letting your mind drift away from the interview is one way to lose the job to other candidates. During an interview, you have to ensure you give the interviewer your 100% attention. You don’t have to stare straight into his/her eyes for prolonged minutes or make him/her uncomfortable but you need to concentrate on the interview. This is one of the reasons you are advised to have a good night of sleep before attending an interview.

Acting Uninterested

There are ways your voice and nonverbal cues can suggest to an interviewer that you are not interested in the job. You need to actively participate in the interview. Spin your interview into a conversation that highlights how your skill set and how it can help the company achieve its short-term and long-term goals and objectives.

Talking Too Much or Too Little

There is a place for moderation during interviews. Your interviewer wants to ensure that you are the kind of person the company wants on the team. Talking continuously for too long or giving monosyllabic responses will not get you the job. You need to be able to strike that perfect balance between speaking confidently and responding intelligently to questions asked by the interviewer.

Telling Lies

The moment you begin to falsify information during an interview, you are making a huge mistake. Lies are not only unethical but can get both you and your potential into a lot of legal trouble. If you don’t possess certain skills, there’s no point lying about that. Honesty remains the best policy.

Not Following Up

Do you think you should follow up with your interviewer after an interview? The answer is yes. You shouldn’t leave an interview and sit back for weeks waiting for someone to you. This does not mean you should begin to stalk your interviewer. Rather, cultivate the habit of calling in periodically to let the company know you are still available especially when you are not hired after the interview.

Bringing Up the Salary Too Early

Remuneration is a very crucial part of an interview but some candidates make the mistakes of bringing it up way before the interviewer gets to that point. This is a wrong move at an interview and will send wrong signals to an interviewer.
Interviews are one of the most sensitive stages of a company’s recruitment process. Adequately preparing for an interview will go a long way in helping you nail it. If you’re having problems getting interviews, consider re-writing your CV as this will increase your chances of being shortlisted for an interview.

Several months after MTN introduced the Awoof data bundles, Airtel have followed suits and theirs is almost an exact replica of Mtn's. The implication is that with #100 now, you can get 200mb which lasts for 3 days, 200 gives you 1gb which lasts for 1 week and so on. Attached is a screenshot I took today and it provides more details.

just Dial *141*241# and follow the instructions.

Hello Nigerians and visitors to Nigeria, I saw this and thought I should share:

*_#STAYING OUT OF TROUBLE#_*

*{FROM “INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE’S CRIME PREVENTION UNIT}*.

*It is so EASY TO STAY OUT OF TROUBLE, BUT DIFFICULT to COME OUT OF IT. The following are easy tips to stay out of trouble:*

*1. Do not offer lift to anybody at night for any reason whatsoever. You may be fallen into a trap.*

*2. If you were robbed and any of your property is taken away by the robbers, you should report the incidence within minutes, because if the robbers are caught and your property is found with them, without your report at The Police Station recorded, you will be deemed to be part of the robbers and may be charged and prosecuted as an Accomplice!*

*3. Do not buy used phones or laptops, except you are buying from a known friend and you have ascertained that he was the previous , as it could be a product of theft, armed robbery or kidnapping, if so and you are arrested, you will be dealing with a case of armed robbery or kidnapping. Also do not buy vehicles from vendors, until you check the registration details at the National Vehicles Registration Database to know the actual owners, or you ascertain that the Customs Papers are genuine, it could be stolen, robbed vehicles or a product of a kidnapping operation.*

*4. Do not leave Credit Alerts on your phone. Delete them immediately, it could make a target of kidnapping in some circumstances or an easy way for fraudstars to empty your .*

*5. Do not disclose your location online, it could make you an easy targets for assailants.*

*6. Do not give anybody, no matter how close, your phone or sim to make calls or allow people to put their sims in your phone to make calls, instead offer them airtime or your battery. If the person is wanted for a crime, you could be a soft target for the Police to get to the person.*

*7. Do not respond to strange persons, telling you about NNPC Contract, PHCN Contract, or errors in your s, they are fraudsters.*

*8. Do not ever stay in the midst of a mob, if any body dies from the mob action and you are apprehended at the scene, you will become a Murder Suspect!*

*9. Always watch your rear through your side or inner mirror while driving to ascertain if you are being trailed, if yes, drive to the nearest Police Station.*

*10. When flagged down by security agencies,, be calm, polite and communicate with them in good English. It helps. If at night put on your inner lights before you approach them, it shows you have nothing to hide.*

25. *Effective Use of the Nigeria Police Control Rooms:–*

a. You introduce yourself and explain your situation very briefly, which you must make look like a real emergency!

b.You must create by your call an urgency, that requires a swift and instant intervention of a Police Patrol Team and I assure you the Police will respond immediately, as there are punitive measures against not doing so, especially when something goes wrong.

c. Ensure that you give a vivid description of your address and be patient with the Control Room Operators, ensuring that you follow up on them with subsequent calls!

FG IS TAKING PROACTIVE MEASURES TO RESOLVE APAPA GRIDLOCK – VP OSINBAJO
*VP inspects progress of work done in the Apapa area

*Expresses hope that gridlock will be cleared soon

The Federal Government is adopting short-term, mid-term and long-term measures, including improving infrastructure, towards resolving the Apapa gridlock and easing traffic around the area, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN.

Prof. Osinbajo stated this on Saturday, when he went round the Apapa area in Lagos State to inspect progress of ongoing work to clear the gridlock.

The Vice President visited different areas of Apapa, including the truck terminal near Ijora, the entrance to the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Liverpool and Tin Can Island, as well as several road projects in the area to ascertain the level of work done by the Presidential Task Force saddled with the responsibility of clearing the area.

Speaking to reporters after the inspection, Prof. Osinbajo, who was accompanied by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the Managing Director, NPA, Hadiza Bala-Usman, said a lot of work has been done so far, with more to be accomplished.

He said, "What I have seen is that a lot has been done. The best way of understanding this is to see that there are several aspects of the task that has to be done. First, there is infrastructure around the ports, and I’m sure you’ve seen, going around with us, that a lot of that has been done. We think that we are in a very good place, especially with respect to the improvement of infrastructure.

"The other thing is in the clearing of the trailers and tankers along the various routes. I’m sure you have seen there is considerable improvement. One of the mid to long-term measures is trying to decongest the traffic coming into the port, cargo traffic coming into the port and coming out of the port. This is a port that is meant to take 34 million metric tonnes of cargo, but is now doing over 80 million metric tonnes today. So, there is obviously a need to find alternatives and to expand where that is possible."

It would be recalled that the Presidential task team began its work on May 24, following a Presidential directive issued for the immediate clearing up of the Apapa gridlock and the restoration of law and order to Apapa and its environs. The directive mandated the immediate removal of all trucks from the bridges and roads within Apapa and all ading streets leading into the Apapa axis, to allow for free flow of traffic around the area.

Following a request by of the task force and other stakeholders, Vice President Osinbajo, earlier in June at a meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, approved the extension of the previous deadline. The task force, which commenced its assignment on May 24, is now expected to present a formal report at the end of its extended mandate on June 24.

Speaking further, the Vice President said, “The other thing is in the clearing of the trailers and tankers along the various routes and I’m sure you have seen there is considerable improvement. The Mile 2 end of it is where there is some difficulty but we think that in the next couple of days that will be resolved, especially with the opening up of the Tin Can Island Trailer Park and the palliative work that is going all the way down to Mile 2. So, we think that we should be able to resolve that congestion in the Mile 2 end. And of course, you have seen that the entry to the port is essentially clear.

“Of course, the Lekki Port is an ongoing project and we expect that will be of great help to ing the Apapa, TinCan Island ports and then we are dredging the Warri Port also. Then just to decongest, to ensure that the traffic of cargo out of the port is effectively done, you know that the Lagos-Kano rail line is also starting from the Apapa Port.

“So, we expect that we should be able to get cargo out of the Apapa Port, using the standard gauge rail to take cargo out of the Apapa Port out to the hinterland. Then of course we are using barges at the moment; the NPA is using barges. So, there are several approaches to this. But as you can imagine, this is a very busy port; Nigeria is a very busy place for commerce. So, traffic is bound to increase.”

On ways to sustain the work done to decongest the traffic in the area, Prof. Osinbajo said having understood what the problem is, and with the work done so far to resolve it, there was no doubt that it would be sustained.

The VP added, "So, the way to go about it is what I have explained, namely: improve the capacity of other ports around, such as the Warri Port. The Lekki Port is also another option; and then improve the infrastructure around it, which is what we are doing. The way to sustain it is just that because we understand why there was congestion. By addressing those concerns, we are able to resolve it. So, I think it will be sustainable."

Opinionated:
Sleep deprivation is a pressing problem for many Nigerians, according to Dr. A. Adefemi, who gave a lecture on World Sleep Day in to warn Nigerians of the importance of sleep for their physical and mental health. As noted by Dr. Adefemi, sleeping the recommended number of hours (between seven and nine hours per night) is necessary to keep heart disease, obesity, and fatigue at bay. Resting well ensures more than our own health; it also reduces the likelihood of road and other accidents, which can occur more frequently when we are tired, sleepy, and unfocused. If you find that you aren’t sleeping as much as you should, or you wake up feeling fatigued instead of refreshed, ask yourself if your bedroom might be the problem. How can you optimise its design, to enhance the feeling of sleepiness and sleep in line with your body’s natural circadian rhythms?

How Comfortable is Your Bed?

One of the most important features of a well designed bedroom for sleep, is a comfortable bed. Not any old mattress will do. You need to pick one that is the right firmness for your sleeping position. For instance, if you sleep on your back or stomach, a firm mattress will keep back pain at bay. If you are a side sleeper, a bed made of memory latex foam will ensure all your pressure points are equally ed. This will stop you from waking up frequently to change positions. If you already have back or shoulder pain, a topper mattress will provide extra and pressure relief. Clearly, buying a mattress is not a decision that should be made impulsively. Research and professional advice are key.

Why is Darkness Essential?

Your room should be completely dark and cool, since your body’s circadian rhythms help you feel sleepy in dark environments. Moreover, as you begin to fall asleep, your body temperature drops, so staying cool can help you nod off more quickly. If light is entering your bedroom from the street or from other areas of the house, the solution is the use of blackout curtains, which will ensure complete darkness in your resting space. These curtains come in a variety of colours and styles, so you can easily find the perfect match for your design tastes.

Silence is Key

If you live in a noisy area or your bedroom is in a noisy part of your home, consider making a change to your set-up. In order to feel truly rested, you need to reach all the relevant stages of sleep, including deep sleep (the most restorative phase, during which the body produces Human Growth Hormone – which is important for building and maintaining healthy tissue in the brain and other organs of the body). To reach deep sleep, you need to stay asleep, waking up no more than once during the night. Noisy surroundings can make you wake frequently, which interferes with your natural progression through each sleep cycle.

A well designed bedroom for sleep is one that is dark and silent. A comfortable mattress is also important, as is avoiding stimulating foods before bedtime. Design is important but it isn’t everything. You should also aim to follow a strict bedtime routine, keep gadgets outside the room, and consider relaxing exercises or meditation before sleeping. Not only will you feel more vital every day, but also avoid the health problems caused by sleep deprivation.

10. Know Yourself

Everyone of us have something that just makeus standout wherever we go. It is usually "normal" to us, but it makes us unique. Most times, encouragement isn't forthcoming and these talents, gifts, skills die. Some get cut right down the middle and so it ends.

Be happy that the era where our parents were just after their kids studying 4 courses in the whole 500+ available, is fading fast. Doctor, Engineer, Lawyer, ancy/Banker. There's more than these now and it's not everyone that would do all these 4 amongst 60million youths seeking ission. So walk in line and know what makes you tick.

Sometimes, discovering yourself is going to take time.

Just like Adekunle Gold, when graduating from Laspotech didn't know music was going to be what he would be doing 5yrs later.

or

Francisca Ordega, that wanted to just be a ballgirl at any stadium but is now the face of the women's national team, Super Falcons, and is just getting started....

Just don't give up..... Believe, but work hard towards it.

Nice one

God bless us all as we take a new step this new year despite how things are right now, we hope on!

Gracias.

alBHAGDADI:

Please, kindly excise patience in reading the below article. It will save you from the lies coming from those attacking Christmas.

Christmas has been coming under attack of recent with many claiming it is a pagan festival and has nothing to do with Jesus Christ nor his birthday as claimed by Christians. The attack use to be usually around Christmas period but these days they start attacking it right from January.

Let’s examine their argument and weigh them with the Bible to see whether it is accurate and worth making of Christians dump Christmas.

Their argument is just centered around the following themes: Birthday is pagan, Jesus wasn’t born on December 25th, Nimrod, Christmas tree is pagan etc. Let’s examine them one by one and even add more.

1. Birthday is a pagan practice

This statement is majorly held by the Jehovah’s Witnesses which are people in a false religion. They say the reason why Christians should not celebrate their birthday is because “two evil men” were the only ones recorded in the Bible to have celebrated their birthday.  The men are Pharaoh of Egypt and King Herod whom it is recorded that they killed someone on their birthday. Pharaoh killed his chief baker while Herod killed John the Baptist.

What the Jehovah's Witnesses are saying in essence is that because 2 men who existed ages ago decided to kill someone on their birthday, we all existing today should not acknowledge and celebrate our birthday. Which Bible verse says we shouldn't celebrate our birthday? There is no such command found in the Bible, so it is not a sin or wrong to celebrate one's birthday.

If you read Mathew 14;3-10 you will see that Herod killing John the Baptist was not because killing someone on one's birthday was a normal practice. He killed John just to fulfill his promise to his daughter that he would do whatever she wanted for dancing so greatly. His daughter requested for John's head and he had no choice but to fulfill it just to honor his word as a king.

As for Pharaoh, he did absolutely nothing wrong in killing his chief baker because the chief baker and his chief butler offended him.

Genesis 40:1

And it came to after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt.

Pharaoh was even kind enough to spare his butler but killed the baker on his birthday. The punishment the baker got must actually be what he deserved according to the King of Egypt. So there is nothing wrong with him receiving his punishment accordingly.  Therefore, Pharaoh cannot be said to have done any wrong on his birthday. As a matter of fact, he did good, which is having mercy on one of the offenders. So, the talk of not celebrating birthday because two men killed someone on their's holds no water. Pharaoh's kindness of sparing the Butler is the reason why the children of Jacob were spared from famine because the Butler got to tell Pharaoh about the dream interpreting abilities of Joseph.

They also love to quote the below verse to discredit birthday celebration.

Ecc 7:1

A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth.

Yes, the day of one's death is better than the day of one's birth. But does the verse say the day of one's birth is bad? No. If the Bible says the day of one's death is BETTER than the day of one's birth, then it means the day of one's birth is GOOD. Good, Better, Best. Now, since the day of one's birth is GOOD, then it means it is good to celebrate it. Until they can show a verse which says Christians should not celerbate birthdays, I will continue to celebrate birthdays including that of Jesus.

What they are doing by saying we shouldn't celebrate birthdays is basically speaking when God has not spoken. They are telling us to do what the Bible never said. The Bible says such people are teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. They tell me to do certain things and try to make it look like it is God that said so.

Matthew 15:9

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

2. Jesus wasn’t born on December 25th

Yes he wasn't born on December 25th, but there's a 100% chance that he was. They also say December 25th was formerly used to celebrate the birthday of Nimrod whom they say is a pagan God. Was Nimrod a god? The Bible and Jewish sources are the only books with s of Nimrod. The Bible says:

Genesis 10:8-9

8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.

9 He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.

As seen above, the Bible didn't record anything bad about Nimrod because being a mighty hunter before God is not a bad description of a person. However, the other story about Nimrod can be found in Jewish Talmud written in the Middle Ages, hundreds of years after the New Testament had been in circulation. That's where you will find stories of how Nimrod was a god who married his mother and gave birth to a son Tamuz who also his reincarnation... blah blah blah. Those are all fables written thousands of years after Nimrod died and by people who didn't exist during his days. You can never find any Bible verse that says we shouldn't celebrate Christmas, but I can show you a verse that says we should stay away from Jewish Fables and the commandments of men which don't go with God's word.

Titus 1:14

Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

As a Christian, you are not to listen to the Jews or read their religious books other than you reading the Bible. The Jews have been rejected by God because they rejected Jesus Christ. I now wonder why anyone would be expecting me to abandon the celebration of the birth of Jesus my Lord and Savior simply because a book written by Christ rejecting Jews made false claims about Jesus.

Do you also know that the Talmud of the Jews says that Jesus real father was a Roman soldier named Pantera who slept with Mary? Is that the same book who wrote lies about Nimrod and Jesus that you want to dump Christmas because of? The Jews are antichrists because their religion of Judaism rejects Jesus as the son of God, a thing which the Bible says qualifies one as an Antichrist.

1 John 2:22

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son

It is pretty clear why those Jews cooked up shady stories which many are now using to attack the celebration of Christmas. The birth of Jesus, which we celebrate on Christmas day, is a declaration that Judaism, the practice and religion of the Jews, is no longer valid. The birth of Jesus Christ put and end to their believe, that's why they are annoyed. It's silly for you bring the Nimrod information from people whom the Bible calls antichrists and expect me to receive it.

Once again, all those people who try to force you to do what is not written in the Bible which is the word of God, are actually teaching their man-made commandments and trying to make it the doctrines of God. They tell you not to celebrate Christmas but can't show you were God said so in the Bible.

Mathew 15:9

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

December 25th may have been dedicated to the worship of a false god which I believe the people of those days were influenced by Satan to do such. But many of such people have today come to the realization of the true God and have turned that day into the celebration of him. Satan doesn't own any day because he never created one. All days were created by God and so it is not a bad thing picking any of those days to celebrate the birth of his son who came to save us from our sins. Since all days belong to God our father, what Christians of old did was repossess their father's possession and made it holy. It is the same thing that happens when a demon is driven out of an individual and the Holy Spirit enters into the individual to dwell. You can't tell me that such individual is still demonic, because demons can't reside where the Holy Spirit resides.

All those who say we shouldn't celebrate Christmas because December 25th was dedicated to a false god are just hypocrites. Got to their house, you will find a calendar on their wall, and this calendar contains days and months named after false gods. Examples are January dedicated to the false god Janus, Thursday dedicated to Thor, Saturday dedicated to Saturn etc. Are we now to stop existing on each of these days because some ignorant people dedicated them to false and weak gods? If those anti-christmas people say they don't have a calendar at home because they know it contains pagan names, don't they have a calendar app in the phones? Maybe they should throw their phones away because they are walking about with paganism. Apostle Paul said we can eat anything dedicated to gods and put it inside our belly. Any day dedicated to a false god can be taken by we Christians and dedicate it to the true God who created days.

Now, is there anything wrong with celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, eating food with family on that day, exchanging gifts, singing Christmas Carol that most times quote Bible verses etc? There is nothing wrong at all. And for someone to sit somewhere and say Christmas is a wicked festival, I ask, what is wicked about all I listed above? Whoever says we are committing sin for celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ is a false acc.

3. Christmas tree is pagan

I'll borrow a quote from Pastor Steven Anderson's sermon on the subject. Read below.

If you still think that Christmas trees are bad, then go right ahead, but let's at least look at the facts tonight, and that's all I want to do, is present the biblical facts tonight. In Jeremiah, Chapter 10, Verse 1, the Bible says, "Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O House of Israel. Thus sayeth the Lord, learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain, for one cut of the tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workmen with the ax, they deck it with silver and with gold, they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not."

Right now is where the anti-Christmas people stop reading, and they just take these couple of verses out of context. They stop reading, and they just take Verse 3 and 4, and they say, "Look, it is a vain, heathen custom to cut down a tree," okay, "And to deck it with silver and gold, and to fasten it with nails and hammers." Here's what they say. They say that's what you're doing when you decorate a Christmas tree. They say you've cut down a tree, and you're basically decking it with gold and silver, and they're saying because you put a gold and a silver ornament on it. Okay, that's their view. That is not what this scripture is talking about. If you stop reading right there, you could use that to convince people of your point, but that's not what it's really about, because keep reading.

Look at Verse 5. It says, "They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not. They must needs be borne because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them, for they cannot do evil. Neither also is it in them to do good. For as much as there is none like unto thee, O Lord."

Stop. What this is talking about, and I'm going to prove it to you from the rest of the chapter, this is talking about cutting down a tree in the forest, and carving it into an idol that is silver or gold plated. When the Bible says that it is decked with gold and silver, that is not saying hanging a silver ball on it. When you deck something over with silver, okay, you are covering it with silver. For example, the deck on your house. Your house might have a deck, okay? It's a covering, is what that means. What the Bible is saying here is that they're carving it into an idol, because look, in Verse 5, he says, "They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not."

Look, nobody thinks that a Christmas tree can speak, or walk, or do good or evil, because it's a tree, right? There are people who carve a tree into an idol of a false god, and they think that that false god can speak, or walk, or do these things, okay? Keep reading. Jump down if you would to Verse 8. It says, "But they are altogether brutish and foolish. The stock," okay, talking about basically the stump of the tree that's being carved, "Is a doctrine of vanities." Watch. Silver spread into plates. Look. Is this a round, silver ornament hanging on the tree? Is this a silver garland? No. It's what I said. It's silver spread into plates, because it's being silver plated, or gold plated, okay? It says, "Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Ufaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder." Okay?

Jump down to Verse 14. It says, "Every man is brutish in his knowledge. Every founder is confounded by the" what? Graven image. "For his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in him. They are vanity." Look, you can't just take two verses out of context. You have to read the whole chapter. This whole chapter is talking about the same subject. Notice the same words are being used. Look at Verse 3, okay? If you have a pen, you may want to underline a few key words here, okay? In Verse 3, the Bible says, "The customs of the people are" what? Vain, and then it says they cut down a tree, right? Okay, now if you jump down to where he's talking about the graven image, he says in Verse 15, "They are vanity."

Okay, so what is vain? He says, it's vain to cut down a tree and deck it with gold and silver, and think that it can walk, or talk, or do anything. It's not like the true God. It's a false god. Later on, he says that these graven images or molten images are vain. They are vanity. Okay, he's talking about the same thing. Up earlier, he said in Verse 9, silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Ufaz, the work of the workman at the hands of the founder. See the word "founder?" Jump down to verse 14. "Every man is brutish in his knowledge. Every founder is confounded by the graven image." If you look at this chapter, there's a continuity of thought here. We are on the same subject in Verse 14 that we were in Verse 3. He's going on and on about the fact that they are carving idols out of wood.

What does it mean to grave, to engrave something? If I brought in something to an artisan, and said, "I want this engraved," they're going to carve my name into it, or they're going to carve some kind of wording into it. Okay. What is molten? Molten comes from the word melting. You melt down metal. You melt silver. You melt gold. A graven image is an image that is carved of wood. A molten image is an image that is made of molten metal, okay, and what he's saying here is that they are carving a wooden idol, and then overlaying it, decking it, with molten gold and silver, and they believe that it is like unto the God of Israel. You know what? People today will often compare the God of the Bible to other gods. They'll say, "You know, why should I believe the God of the Bible any more than I believe in the god of Islam, or Buddha, or whatever?"

There's no God like unto the true God, and the idol is vanity. It can't talk. It has to be carried, and God makes it clear He never wants us to make any image of Him. Does the Bible specifically prohibit graven and molten images? Oh, yeah. It's one of the ten commandments. "Thou shall not make unto thee any graven image." Okay, so there's no question that graven images and molten images are sinful. That matches perfectly with what Jeremiah 10 is teaching, preaching against graven and molten images. To sit there and say, "This is a Christmas tree," and people will even say, "A Christmas tree is a graven image." Let me ask you something. Where's the engraving? Where is it carved? In what way, shape, or form is it carved in any way? Answer me that.

It is just a tree. You brought the tree, and you put it in the house. There's no carving. Nothing has been molten or melted. Look, it's not an image. What's an image? It's something that's made like unto an animal, or a human, or an angel, or a god. Okay, but hold on a second. They'll say, "Well," and go to Isaiah, Chapter 60. They'll say, "Well, you know, okay. It's not a graven image. You got me, Pastor Anderson." Look, can anybody actually say that a Christmas tree is a graven image when it has zero graving and zero molten? Okay, no. They just say, "Yeah, but Jeremiah 10 said not to do it." No, because we read the whole chapter, and it was clear that the tree that they're cutting down in the forest becomes a graven image.

Cutting down trees is not wrong, unless you're part of the Environmental Protection Agency or something. I don't see how you could say there's anything wrong with going into the forest and cutting down a tree, okay? The sin wasn't cutting down the tree. The sin was then graving the tree, carving the tree into an idol, and overlaying it with gold and silver that it might be worshiped.

To conclude this article, I'll say there is nothing wrong in chosen not to celebrate Christmas just as there is nothing wrong with celebrating it. The only wrong found is when those who don't celebrate it start trying to impose their idea on others as if it is a commandment of God when such is not written in the Bible.

Let me explain the below age so you will understand fully.

Romans 14

Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.

2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.

This is talking about a vegan/vegetarian and people who eat meat and all things.

3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

The above says he that eats all things should not despise the one who doesn't. Also the one who doesn't should not judge the one who does.

4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

The above says we are not to judge each other because we are all servants of God. Our master is the one to judge us. You might says, what has this got to do with Christmas. Just keep reading.

5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

As seems above, it is good to esteem every day in the same manner. Also it is not a bad thing to esteem one day above others just as we esteem December 25th above other days. Verse 6 says he that regards a certain day regards it unto God and he that doesn't regard it does the same unto God.

Ladies and gentlemen, don't let anybody tell you Christmas is a pagan festival. It is not a pagan god we celebrate when we celebrate Jesus who is the reason for the season. It is not a pagan god's story we read when we read Luke 2 from the Bible on Christmas day. If they try to lie to you, show them this article which I will advise you to bookmark because these people will still come around next year with the same lies.

And please don't forget to send me a Christmas gift. PM Now grin

Nice one.
