ADEGUNWA01:Very unfortunate a so called prince knows nothing about Akure history but recent emotions for Akure to stand separate. Akure as part of Ekiti confederation shares boundary with Ondo Ekimogun. Why is this so difficult for you to understand? Most of those Ekiti towns in Kwara are not also putting Ekiti behind their names but they still accept themselves being Ekitis.

ADEGUNWA01:You must still be in the secondary school; my bad not being aware earlier. Get education first before coming online to disgrace yourself. Ire o! This is the map of Yoruba tribes; nothing like Akure.

ADEGUNWA01:Mr man you have a lot to learn about your history... Notwithstanding, Akure was recently carving an identity for itself which I understand. It doesn't change history. Why was Deji part of Ekiti Pelupelu or why do Ondo Ekimogun history shows that they only share boundary with Ekiti and Akoko? Tell me the differences in their culture, dialects, food and markets. In the classification of Yoruba groups, there was nothing like 'Akure' as Yoruba group until recently. |

This is what they planned beforehand. They are looking for troubles to get sympathy votes. They forgot streets could be very dangerous and difficult to be controlled by anyone when you harassed people and their culture in their land unrelentingly. The trouble they seek always particularly in Lagos may go beyond this election if their elders fail to caution them. Neither Tinubu or anyone, nor the wokes would be able to stop what's coming. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

I now have so much trust in Tinubu; what he saw sitting down Obi and Atiku didn't see it standing up, only their selfish interests without single empharty for the masses. They will simply lead Nigeria to destruction.

They should ask for a trillion dollar nah. Oil money is good for compensating people that are not paying tax, herdsmen and bandits but Niger Delta people are good to continue languishing in polluted environment.

Since 1960 the federal government is for the north, politicians in the south are antipeople. Trillion of dollars have been generated from oil, ports and customs' duties in the south but used to provide thousands of irrigation system and free fertilizer for the north. Our borders are closed for their own produce to strive. It's hard for one to bring cows and other items from Benin republic but they easily bring in most cows to Lagos from Niger & Chad. I can go on and on. The truth is that we don't have leaders (only hypocrites) in the south until the youths will take charge. 1 Like |

Some regents, like Princess Tolani, make better decisions than many kings like Oluwo, who always find reasons to defend herdsman bandits and their atrocities.

The current president would never do that to his Herdsmen and bandit criminal brothers. The nepotism is so glaring; go to NNPC, finance, NDIC, FIRS, Amcon, NPA, EFCC, Customs, etc. in fact anything generating money, enforcement, military, justice, almost all, only his brothers are good to head them. Unfortunately, they achieve nothing since 1960 they've been dominating, not even improve the lives of their people but looting. How are we going to overcome northern Boko Haram, bandits and herdsmen killings of our people and other security challenges when 9 out of 11 of the national security council are from the North? 2 Likes |

From just the below write up, you should be able to conclude who Buhari is: ... The heads of Finance ministry, the Financial regulatory bodies, Financial revenue generating agencies, enforcement, taxations, etc. are concentrated in one zone of the country. Ministry offinance, NNPC, Custom, NPA, FIRS, AMCON, NDIC, EFCC, etc, Don't let us even talk about Justice, the military and others. The southern politicians and appointees are very myopic, Unconcerned and selfish. They don't even know that they are to represent the people and their interests. The states house of assemblies should be able to object to these if federal representatives will do nothing about this rubbish; there is nothing like federal character, it's a deception to put Southerners in perpetual backseats and backwardness. Just look at the composition of the National Security Council; 9 out of 11 are from the North. We're having these security problems because the south and their inputs are taking for granted. A former governor of Ogun state, Gen. Olofinmoyin(Rtd.) raised this recently.... |

People seem to have given up entirely with little or nothing to do to correct this anomaly by one region.

People close to President Buhari should be able to bring this nepotism in appointment to his notice even if self-centered southern politicians won't talk about it. This is very unfair and the patriots, the former heads of state, other good citizens that wish Nigeria well should intervene. We should Nigeria used to be Southern and Northern protectorates and later Eastern, Western and Northern regions. Now that we're having 36 states, the whole appointments in Finance, Security, Justice, etc. are skewed in favour of one particular region. And the North is so happy about these... 1 Like |

I now believe ''there was a country''. We all know the way forward, restructuring back to Republican Constitution of 1963 with little adjustment. Everyone wants to talk and talk; committee upon committee and always back to square one. Chei! There was a country! Now we have Bala's Ak-47 waging countrymen taking over... the reply we shock these northern hypocrites! 15 Likes 1 Share |

Something is happening in this country and no one seems to be bothered about it. The heads of Finance ministry, the Financial regulatory bodies, Financial revenue generating agencies, enforcement, taxations, etc. are concentrated in one zone of the country. A former governor of Ogun state, Gen. Olofinmoyin(Rtd.) raised this recently, unfortunately some southerners were not happy with his genuine concern. The shame of the composition wouldn't allow the council to meet and the country suffers insecurity everywhere. One thing this selfish politicians from the south don't know is that these agencies like Amcon, EFCC, etc. will be used to deal ruthlessly with them before 2023 elections. 1 Like 1 Share |

Ekiti people are in Ekiti, Kwara and 3 LGAs in Ondo state: Akure North, South and Ifedore. They have close groups like Ijesas, Okuns, Igbominas, Ondos, Akokos and Owos as neighbours. They are one of the largest Yoruba subgroups. A king in Ekiti Kwara and Deji of Akure used to be part of Ekiti kings' Pelupelu. Recently, Ekiti in Kwara is associating more with their Igbomina neighbours because they're in the same state and have same challenges. Although there have been moves to their kins in Ekiti State several times; Otun Ekiti was calved into West Central State (Kwara) initially in the 60s but fought very hard to be in Western State and Ondo State (now Ekiti State). It's so odd to find out that someone from Odo Owa (where Pastor/Prophet Ayo Babalola of C.A.C came from) a stone throw from Erimope-Ekiti is a northerner. Just like many Ekitis, Igbominas, Okuns and Ibolos are forced Yoruba Northerners. 3 Likes |

absoluteSuccess: Pardon me, not too deep in Yoruba proverbs. And the language is tonal; 'Eni Koko e ye lo moo lo' Without tonal marks, one can interpret the above proverb as: 1. Whoever has his/her pot tottering/leaning/inclining uses it better. 2. Whoever tottered her hip knows its use. 3. Whoever understands her pot have better use of it. I will appreciate use of tonal marks to complete the exercise; doubt if I have heard this proverb before. 2 Likes 1 Share |
