The country with the highest number of out of school children and poverty capital of the world, cannot make such list because they prefer to elect or select convicted and allegedly fraudulent individuals into leadership positions! It has never been as evident as it is in this regime! |

Samantha125: His point is quite clear and understood. From your point of view, it’s also understood but there is a chance you’ll have a better old age when you have money than when you don’t. You can employ someone to care for you and you pay them. With money you can take a few trips that your age can allow you to but compared to someone that is poor financially! 1 Like |

Whilst I advocate for citizens first when it comes to benefits, which is like the right thing to do or that any government would do for their citizens. I want to believe it is somehow failure of the government that is making them want to clamp down on immigrants even though no government should condone irregularities or incongruent or fraudulent activities of immigrants. Take foreigners out of the UK and the country would not be where it is today. No country has really succeeded on its own without foreigners. No particular nation can really succeed as such without other people or foreigners, if you like. |

Racoon: This is a fantastic piece! JAMB will exercise their muscles to develop their own curriculum without regard to WASSCE’s and WASSCE will do same to show independence that has little to show for. This is the same system of education I went through and I can attest to the failure of the system. Whilst the Registrar is making effort, but it must address the cores mentioned here. Any system that is in place no matter how good can only achieve as high or as low as the mind that manages it. I used 3 years as a science student in a public school and couldn’t boast of sessions in laboratory except when WAEC approached. The items in the laboratory gathered dust until it was time for fire brigade practicals because of WAEC exam. This is just a vivid reflection of those at the hem of affairs in Nigeria. A failure of our leaders - failure of institutions- failed state. |

naptu2: Instead of aggressively enlightening of the people through education, training in technological development and agriculture, and in so doing develop the country inevitably, they are busy spending monies on inconsequential projects that adds no benefit whatsoever to the people just so they can inflate figures. Indeed, we lack intellectual and visionary leaders. Merely checking the biggest offices in government and you’ll not agree less. Is it the president of Nigeria? Is it the senate president? Is it governors? There’s no infrastructural development that can ever outclass human development. Societies that are by far infra structurally better today first developed the mental capacity of its citizens. Ours are interested in developing their pockets and bank s through corruption! |

Vinnie2000: That is the beauty of democracy, the freedom of choice. That the defectors will face disciplinary action or have lost their elected post on the basis of the platform through which they got elected is another discourse. Also, that the defected of the various parties will be re-elected is another thing. This might just be the end of political prostitution in Nigeria by the end of 2027 elections. I am confident the defected party regardless of their positions, are doing it for their individual ambitions as against the need to serve the people. 2027 will be a defining election for the soul of Nigeria. It is either Nigerians completely jettison, boycott the elections or will come out en masse to do what’s right for once regardless INEC’s, or men in uniform or hoodlums and touts’ threats! 1 Like |

DixseenMktPlace: Is this a dignified way to be rich or it is the failed system of government that subjected him to such? The people are against the government is why they’ll the boy. There was no basis to arresting him in the first place. It is an effort to silent dissenting voices and everyone playing a role to enthrone such dictatorial behavior will pay for it soon or later. There’s dignity in being rich through a legitimate labour that is not through government’s abduction of citizens because they don’t them. Some people on Nairaland coming here to call people names because they don’t this regime will do worse if they had the power to abduct and keep people in detention. |

bizbro: It’s fine to see the way you do. Literarily to me, he didn’t defeat death otherwise he’d still be alive. That he defeated death to be alive in the after life is another discourse. So literarily, he’s no more here, he’s dead. |

When I watched yesterday on the news as he was being driven on the wheel chair to greet the crowd from the top of the house, I said to my dad, this man doesn’t look really fine because of the way he tried to lift his hand. He apparently wanted to witness the last Easter with the people. This news is true, it kind of tells of what I felt when I saw that. |

helinues: No matter what you are eating or whoever is paying you, know that every comment made now, sooner or later, it will make your character what you might not ire after eating all you wanted to eat or either in your own old age. There is consequence for every good or bad behavior. Whenever you want to make comments or whenever you want to be paid, ask yourself if you are being paid for character defamation or character building. Eventually, the truth will stare you in the eyes whether you like it or not. I read his articles and he’s very critical of every regime’s inadequacies at whatever level. |
