Africa need to stop calling East Africa ocean Indian Ocean. Leaving East Africa ocean Indian Ocean psychologically gives India ownership of all the island nations off the coast of East Africa. Names are important but not god given. For the sake of fairness and equity, a line should be worked out along the midpoint between Asia and Africa so that one half would be East Africa ocean while the other half remain Indian Ocean.

Something is wrong with the Niger military leader with his baseless accusations

They were always going to do this. I predicted it in some of my posts last year. I stated then that these nations would eventually be looking to go to war with Nigeria backed by Russia. Nigeria is a very key nation in the reckoning of Russia against the West. Key in Africa. resents Nigeria secretly.

French West Africa needed to free themselves from but they went about it the wrong way. Burkina Fasso, Niger Republic and Mali needed to consider that world trade and economic system is largely controlled by the West. How they cut ties with was going to determine how they are able to lift thire people out of poverty given that the West work together and can suffocate them.

I foresaw that it wouldn't take time for Mali, Burkina Fasso and Niger to find out that thire revolution was going to falter, exposing them to dangers of counter coupes, insurgencies, Western sponsored terrorists and uprisings by the people. I guessed that they would try to lay all blames on Nigeria. And that , quite apart from any backdoor prompting by Russia or even ( you had better believe this latter) they, Burkina Fasso, Mali and Niger, might like to see the entire region in chaos. This way , the region might emerged restructured in ways best suited to all involved except Nigeria.

Too late, Kemi made a mistake, as did Nigerians when they too quickly tried to embrace her. Kemi needed to be left alone to settle. Busybody people couldn't wait, now everything is ruined.

As for the social media attacks and counter attacks, it has entrenched my convictions that a major part of Nigeria's problems is to do with the Nigeria state failure to grasp or understand her population. Many so called Nigerians are not really Nigerians. Maybe we need to borrow from African Americans and begin to make a distinction between Foundational Nigerians and Nigerians. Foundational Nigerians being those whose ancestry is rooted in Nigeria since the creation of Nigeria and whose people lived in the area now Nigeria before the amalgamation. Don't know how this can be achieved or if it can but the point is, due to Nigeria's open borders, many that we call Nigerians are progenies of mixed heritage, recent settlers from other nations and so on.

Kemi is undermining her own powerbase. For a woman so articulate and who has in the past shown a good understanding of race and politics she is revealing an astonishing level of amateurishness. Richie Sunak's powerbase was the Indian community. India's population, cultural might an influence. All this made him a potential asset in the eyes of the British establishment that can see far beyond the silly notions of corruption that some of you nurse.

Power structures that underpin the various Western democracies play with corruption. It is nothing to them, not a hill on which to die. Corruption is a trifling issue in the world that the establishment operate in yet Nigerians carry it for head like gibbering idiotic dolts. People learned nothing of this underbelly from the resent US election.

So Kemi's undermining of her own power base, which is her Nigerian heritage in the eyes of the British establishment is extraordinarily naive. Black British aren't her power base nore are white English people here power base. The British want Nigeria as a significant force that they can do business with in the coming years. They don't want any prime minister who, instead of engaging other nations gainfully for Britain, is busy fermenting enmity with other Nations and even seeming to encourage civil strife and conflict.

I can only imagine that this conservative leadership, in the mind of Kemi, is merely a play to boost her personal resume in lure of many top jobs when ousted as leader of the conservative party and other perks that come with it.

If Nigerians were not the nice people that they are, government could turn this entire issue into a serious Nigeria /UK diplomatic spat that would end up with Mrs Badernoc forced to face a premature conservative leadership challenge.

See Nigeria. I warned that Nigerians should leave that girl alone but my post was quickly removed by MODs.

It is enough that Kemi has Nigeria heritage, I tried to warn. She has already served the purpose of promoting Nigeria. But, oh no, you people, like African Americans, had to go acting in ways that ultimately undermine the influences that black people could have in the world stage if you just left them alone.
Litmus: 2:40pm On Dec 13, 2024
As a politician who is not Nigerian, why is Mrs Badernoc attacking Nigeria? In other words is it not her very Nigeria linage that enables her the liberty to both attack Nigeria and get away with it. Imagine if Keir Starmer had spoken similarly about Nigeria or if Kemi herself spoke similarly on India.

And as a prospective leader of the United Kingdom, what does her remark suggest UK relationship with Nigeria will be on the international stage under her leadership, notwithstanding that the United Kingdom traditionally threads a cautious diplomatic line in order not antagonise allies or damage further relationships with unfriendly nations.

studyless123:

Misinformation is a product. Nigeria faces significant challenges from misinformation, often spread by individuals who either lack awareness or actively choose to disregard facts. This vulnerability is compounded by the rapid spread of unverified information through social media and other digital platforms, where sensationalism often takes precedence over accuracy. In a nation as diverse and dynamic as Nigeria, the impact of misinformation can be especially damaging, sowing division, confusion, and distrust among the population. The combination of a lack of media literacy and the deliberate spread of false narratives by those who benefit from creating chaos makes Nigeria highly susceptible to the dangers of misinformation, affecting its social, political, and economic fabric.

Perfect.

It is irresponsible to lead your men into a theatre of operation and not have total visual of the terrain you are ing through. Cheap drones fitted with thermal cameras could have spotted the insurgents before your team drove into them.
We see these drones being put to effective use in Ukraine. Why can't Nigeria deploy same? Telling us you killed 50 insurgents is hogwash. They are on a hill shooting down at you. They have the element of surprise and positional advantage. You guys are already sitting ducks.

Indeed. This is the least one would expect. Nigeria officers train all over the world, some at the very best military institutes such as Sandhurst. Yet what you say requires none of the highest military doctrine, it's common sense.

Good development.

See your fingers like Good Development angry.

Typical "Nigerian" never happier than when other Nations benefit from the exploitation of Nigeria.

If Tinubu wanted to please so-called Nigerians about that Lagos Calabar coastal road he should have called it Accra to Younde coastal highway. Then "Nigerians" would cheer.

I love Nigeria english and the world seem to love it also. It's unique and is becoming a brand. I prey Nigerians will begin to see the value and actively insist on speaking this way and not change. One incidental value of Nigerian English and pronunciations is that it enables us to identify West African imposters trying to off as Nigerians in order to harm Nigeria in various ways.

The way South Africans speak isn't extraordinary. It is not much different from the way all of black Africa - except Nigeria - speak English. South Africa English is the ordinary English of Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Gambia etc.

There could be up to a Million Africans in India. If so majority will be from East Africa, possibly Uganda. The population of Ghanians in India is more than Nigerians.

The claim that 1.3 million Nigerians are in Indian prisons is clearly a misprint. I doubt India has up to 20 thousand Nigerians living there. Believing 1.3 million Nigerians are languishing in India jail's suggests a lack of critical thinking. A more plausible scenario is that India might be negotiating with Nigeria to accept African immigrants, akin to the United Kingdom's now-defunct plan to send migrants to Rwanda. Similarly,U.S. President Trump is floated the idea of using parts of Africa as a dumping ground for migrants.

Highest number of incarcerated people in the world, with almost 1.8 million people in prison as of the end of 2023, United States.

China: Has around 100,000 fewer prisoners than the United States

Brazil: Has almost 840,000 prisoners

India: Has 573,000 prisoners
Russian Federation: Has over 433,000 prisoners

The United States also has the highest prison population rate in the world, at 716 per 100,000 of the national population.

Other countries with high prison population rates include:
St Kitts & Nevis (714)
Seychelles (709)
U.S. Virgin Is. (539)
Barbados (521)
Cuba (510)

The total worldwide prison population is likely to be over 11.5 million if numbers from detention centers in China and prison camps in North Korea are included.

Nigeria, stick with China. Indians are facilitators of racism against black people at every level. There's a difference between your lovely, kind Indian personal friend and Indians in of international and national strategic interest.

Oh black people when will you learn??!

Chatgbterised version for the epistle haters:

The article addresses efforts by the U.S. government to combat money laundering in the real estate market. Previously, certain areas, like Fairfax County, Virginia, and Los Angeles County, were subject to rules requiring the disclosure of identities behind transactions, especially when shell companies paid in cash. However, in 2014, these rules were not yet in effect, allowing anonymous cash purchases of high-value properties in Los Angeles and McLean, Virginia. The new rule will expand these disclosure requirements nationwide, aiming to prevent misuse of the U.S. real estate market by corrupt officials, drug cartels, and foreign adversaries. Gary Kalman, executive director of Transparency International U.S., s the rule, stating that the U.S. market’s stability, size, and opacity have made it a popular destination for laundering illicit funds.

In a separate topic, the article marks the ten-year anniversary of the infamous Boko Haram schoolgirl kidnapping in Nigeria, noting that over 80 girls remain captive. Despite the Nigerian government’s counter-terrorism efforts, Boko Haram and other groups continue to abduct people, contributing to ongoing instability in the region.

The article’s main thrust highlights the intent of U.S. regulations to curb illegal financial activities by enhancing transparency in real estate transactions. At the same time, it underscores persistent global issues, like terrorism in Nigeria, as examples of how systemic instability fuels criminal exploitation across borders. The narrative emphasizes the importance of regulatory measures in safeguarding financial systems from exploitation by bad actors.

I know you Nigerians like to point fingers at one another: You'll be preferring stuff like, "the north did this to Johnathan, because they were not in power and now they are doing it to Tinubu because he is a Westerner" or "powerful men in Nigeria are the cause, they are sponsoring bandits" or " military is compromised they want increased budget, they are preparing to mount a coup" . This sort of thing you all like and so voices like mine, you'll dismiss as out of touch or not "knowing Nigeria". Anyway, I'll repeat, your problems are largely due to external forces. I'd go so far as to suggest that if America was in Nigeria's situation, they would be at war with the suspect West Africa nations that your security agents and secret intelligence know are heavily involved in trying to drag Nigeria down to thire own wretched levels.
