if u have had fair share of a home tutor then u wud not understimate the power behind it. Does a teacher have power over a child who had learnt a concept in the morning and den out of their childish nature cannot even after d most advanced teaching method were used. Most time dat child needs someone to re-echo that concept. How many parents here have a time and patient to skl their children. A child once told me that she was not interested in class until it was 3rd term damn all the teaching 4 2 was in vain she only said so becos d lesson teacher asked how come u doing better now.

Mass education is result oriented and parents are nt helping matters, in present day Nigeria results(1st, 2nd) is d order of the day
The totality of a childs education centers around teacher, child and parents but wiv the ever busy parents, the teacher(lesson) stands in a gap for them. But some children do require it cos their retention span is very low or some the play they engage in out weigh the books they read.

Education is a venture in which a lot of people are involved in, there is needed talk about changes and development but it never came. When I hear a parent saying "I am sending my child to a better school so that they can get a good job" I cringe.

Our educational system has totally lost its value and usefulness truely when I was in school I was told that the teaching profession was a STOP GAP.

But a lot of the decay we find stems frm the fact that the "parents" have failed to instill the desired discipline in their wards. I pray that our skool system improves.

Alot of issues are paramount in the reasons why student tend to fail their exams but parents tend to look outwardly rather than inwardly.Blackberry,Facebook,twitter,Epl are not the main cause why student fail the main cause is English language.
Some would be why English why not Maths or some other subjects,But the truth be told all the examination questions are written in english language and not Japanese or chinese.So if a child understands a question and is noty creative enough then he has little or less to show for it.Like the writer above he/she should be PROUDLY ashamed because he has the arsenal at home but failed to deploy the weapons on the D-day.
Alot can be learnt from twitter and facebooking if only our youths would put their mind to learning.
