Most time we get bogged down with the little things of life. My head gets buried in work, career, relationship problems, or whatever stress I might have. And when I have a lot going on, I focus on myself. I turn inward.

Have you ever been through a similar season of life?

God doesn’t want us to live like that. Why? Because it’s in the seemingly insignificant where He speaks to us. And if we’re too busy or too focused on ourselves, we can miss Him move in our lives in incredible ways.

It is a mistake to think time is going. Time is not going. Time is here until the world ends. It is you that is going. You don’t waste time. Time is infinite. You waste yourself. You are finite. It is you that grows old and die. Time doesn’t. So make better use of yourself before you expire. And one of the worst things to do with time is comparing yourself to others. A cow eats grass and gets fat but if dog eats grass, it will die. Never compare yourself with others. Run your race. What works for one person may be that which will kill you. Focus on the gifts and talents God gave you and don’t be envious of the blessings He gave others.

Both Lion and Shark are professional hunters, BUT:
A Lion cannot hunt in the Ocean and a Shark cannot hunt in the jungle
That a Lion cannot hunt in the ocean doesn't make him useless and that a Shark cannot hunt in the jungle doesn't also make him useless both have their own territory where they can do well

GOD DOES NOT SEE OUR ENEMIES AS HIS ENEMIES

Is there someone in your life who you try to avoid at all costs because of something they did to you a long time ago?

It’s easy to hold grudges against our enemies. And if we’re honest with ourselves, it feels good to hate them. In a way, it’s our attempt to get back at them for what they did to us.

God doesn’t see our enemies as His enemies. He sees them as lost people, created in His image, who desperately need to come home. In Jesus sermon, He tells His disciples to “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

Is Jesus saying that we’re supposed to love the people who hurt us? Is He telling us to take time to pray for the very person I never want to see again for my entire life? Yes and yes!

What Jesus is saying is that those people we consider enemies are the very men and women He died for. He could care less about our grudges and cares a whole lot about them finding the fullness of life that comes from following Him.

Today, as hard as it might be, I challenge you to pray for that person who you see as your enemy. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you get over your grudge and start to grow more into the person God created you to be.
