@op, it is going to be a very tough journey but, if you start and stay on, u will smile. Production of any sort is no child's play in Nigeria considering unavailability of machines and unstable price of raw materials. I would suggest you leave the tissue and try out soap production(laundry soap). Reason for asking you to go with laundry bar soap is, it is easy to market compare to bathing soap. Marketing bathing soap will require so much energy from you. You will equally need Nafdac certification to gain customers confidence, but the case is different with laundry soap. If you are able to see someone who is willing to put you through, no matter the projection and research done, start very small. On no should you put down 50% of your capital, you can start with maybe 10-15%. I'm suggesting this so that if things go wrong, you will still have something to fall back on. There are so many information here that you can make use of. You can actually get a mentor here, if you are able to see the one that is not greedy, such will be of a great help to u as you will avoid so much waste and stress of having to try out so many things on your own. Most importantly, whatever you choose, at the end, be prepared to market your product by yourself at this early stage so as to get direct from your customers. To maintain low production cost, make sure that you are involved personally in the buying of raw materials and don't contract them out. No big boy at this level. I can say much about this production, but I'm extremely busy at the moment. 22 Likes 1 Share |

I ed a company(Ltd) in September 2016 with intention of starting in Jan 2017 but, for some reasons I couldn't start. The business is to be operated from home for now untill i raise money for a different apartment, and I intend to start next month (April 2018). So on Wednesday this month(28th March 2018), I decided to visit one of the FIRS offices in Lagos to inquire about my tax status. I met with one of the officials who further referred me to her colleague known as auditor. The man ask me to bring out my company documents; going through them, he noticed that on the 'questionnaire form' it was stated that the business will commence in Jan 2017 and as such I must pay the outstanding tax even though I have not commenced business yet. He further stated that the only exception to not paying the outstanding, would have been if my consultant who ed the business for me did not state that business will commence in Jan 2017. I asked him since I am yet to commence whether the outstanding can be wrtten off, he said no. He told me of preparing an audited report for those months. He also said that my tax maybe 500-1,000naira monthly since my business is just a small business. But to prepare the audited report will cost me money. So right now, so many thoughts are going through my mind. I'm thinking whether I should dump it and a new company(An Enterprise) but, the challenge is that I have already used the Ltd name to obtain a trademark for the propose product that I intend to produce. Please i am asking those with experience and who might have gone through such to help me out with accurate information on how to go about this. Thank you |

Then let her get a job. And plan her life from there. Its a very terrible situation that ur sister is in right now. U guys need to encourage her in any means possible. The husband may never come back except through divine intervention because he is in a deep mess thinking that he is enjoying his life. But I pray that by God's grace, the man comes back to his senses because he has long lost it. 3 Likes 1 Share |

This is what we are known for; title, title, title. No meaningful development, everything in Nigeria is all about titles. Anywhere you turn to, it' s all about fight for one title to another. I ask: what is the impact of these titles in the society. We keep celebrating things that do not create any value for humanity. Almost 60yrs of existence as a country, there is no meaningful development. I think something is deeply wrong with Nigeria and Africa generally. 1 Like |
