The IRCC requested I resubmit another police report from the country I reside in and Nigeria again because I resubmitted my application, so the initial police report got expired (I guess).

On how I got the PCC, I have a police guy that works in that department and he helped me out but with money sha.

If your Spousal sponsorship application is aged up to 10 months, my sincere advice would be to wait rather than apply for TRV.

Processing times are currently at 14 months for SS application.

Deciding to apply for TRV would entail all the documents gathering process and ensuring you have PoF.

I applied for TRV in September 2022 and got approved early June 2023. I subsequently travelled to Canada. When my SS is approved, I would either have to return to Nigeria or leave Canada, because I would have to do a physical landing to re-enter Canada. Flight ticket prices ain't cheap these days.

However, if you have only recently submitted your SS application and have received your AoR, it may make sense to apply for TRV.

For family sponsorship I received a mail from them in June 2022 that my application for Resident permit has been received‚ I was asked to pay for biotmerics of which I did. Around September, additional documents were requested and till this moment I haven't heard anything from them and I haven't even gotten a biometric instruction letter yet.

I used a police officer working in Lagos to do the Police Character certificate for me, and I submitted it to CIC.

This is all I have so far. But my profile says there’s a request that needs an action sent to me but I didn’t get any message.

My brother/sister. You need to act fast.

Let me explain the three (3) main s you need to have on the CIC.

1. PR portal --where the Principal Applicant (PA) submits its application forms. (https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/)

2. PR Tracker --After receiving your AOR, you can link your with it, for you to track your status as it goes through various stages (Just as you listed above). (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html)

3. The GC key (IRCC secure MYCIC). You can use it to pay your fees, track your application, and also use it in responding to Additional Documents Requests. (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/.html)

In summary...

You need to open your GC Key (No 3rd) and do the needful. Be fast brother.

Usually, it takes within 2-4months + for your Eligibility and Background Verification to be completed.

2. The location for your Interview depends on where you submitted your application. If it was in , you could be called to get your interview done over there in .

Yes, many people have done it before and their application was approved.
Yes, yes both applicate can sign following the same procedure or learn how to sign for their spouse as the case may be.
