Hello Romancelanders, I'm a boy in my early 20s, I actually need mature comments and opinions about my current situation and how to get out of it. The major issue is I've actually gone through a lot while growing up to my present stage. It started with the fact that I was a timid boy while I was very young. I battled low esteem for the better part of my primary school due to the fact that I actually thought I wasn't good looking and all sort. Maybe it was because of the environment I grew up and I left my village to attend secondary school in a city, so I was very intimidated and I saw myself as out of place among peers and this really affected me psychologically and my esteem detoriated drastically. I actually transfered all my strength to being a nerd and came out with flying colors but I missed out on somethin; Socializing with people. This trend continued till I gained ission into a University. Though I have actually conquered my low-esteem and in fact I'm now a good public speaker and held several leadership posts during my four years on campus here. The problem I have is I have never really had a successful relationship with girls (dating ), though I have some few female friends but close girls have come to see me as a "very responsible young man" (Don't know if that's an automatic turn off). I have been able to ask girls out easily online but I'm not cool with that, will like to meet with someone in the real world here and fall in love conventionally. Most of the relationships I have have never being perfect, it is either I don't like the girls or they don't like me....it just doesn't add up. I have not being choosy (permit me to use that ) though I have a thing for intelligent girls. So mature peeps on here should come to my aid, I really need opinions on how to get around this. NB: THE major reason why I'm worried is because I'm almost through with my degree programme and I have a paying Part time job, I believe it will best if I can meet my other half while I'm here because when I'm all made it might be difficult to find someone who's going to be true to me, plus all my friends are in serious relationships and it is always embarrassing anytime we go out with only me coming alone. Thanks in advance. |

darfay:I don't know whether it is through sheer ignorance or otherwise that Nigerians criticize show like this because of the perceived outrageous prizes. This is strictly business and it will be the same anywhere in the world. The number of views the BBN gets per day is something a National debate will never get. Besides it is not a government thing, tell your government officials to invest. How many Nigerians complaining even follow important programmes on TV? rather Nigerians will sit with DSTV stations all day. I'm not a fan of BBN and I don't watch it but I'm surprised at the publicity they still enjoy despite millions of Nigerians criticizing daily, One can't but wondered whether the viewers are ghosts. 1 Like |

The funniest thing is all these guys on naira land shouting money, money don't have it. Y'all be sounding as if all girls are whores, money will not buy love, it will only make you a gullible ATM. Please don't quote me if you have never had or still have some little "change" in your life. Guys who have money will agree it is very difficult to find true love when you have money among low lifes.

Anybody who attended a Public University in Nigeria and is denying this is just just being delusional. The conducive environment at CU is enough to put them ahead in all aspect. Come to my school , we have some department where more than 300 students receive lectures in a 150 capacity lecture theatre. The only thing this federal universities lives on is past glories especially OAU, can't forget my experience the day we went for a competition there. Their life is so rough that I kept wondering how people survived in that kind of place like slums ( hostels). I know dome people will quote me with the " it prepares you for the future shit" No it doesn't, we are just used to suffering in thus country. Visit any of this top Private Universities then you will know most of us in Public universities are suffering . 4 Likes 2 Shares |

APCHaram:Your comment reeks of ethnic bigotry against the southwest, in 2011 when South west voted heavily for Goodluck Jonathan they were not the problem of the south? out of 6 states, he won 5 with wide margins. Most of us here voted during the last election with a plain mind that this country needed a change in government. it is saddening to see people defending Jonathan'a government that almost brought this country to its kneels with embezzlement perhaps because your kinsmen were the pillars of his government. History will repeat itself come 2019, the same faults and shortcomings of the last istration are evidently being displayed by this present government. Mark my words and If Buhari doesn't loose heavily in Southwest. Nigeria presently have two set of people constituting problems 1. Those who are still of the mistaken belief that GEJ government meant well for the country (ethnicity is a major factor here) 2 Those singing praises to the present government in face of glaring failures ( ethnicity and religious sentiments) . 4 Likes |
