Just like a thousand Yoruba children born and raised in USA cannot speak Yoruba.

Ogbeni when they ask you what other language is spoken at home besides English, they are asking about your indigenous language and it could be what your parents always speak to you at home and etc. Your children might not be able to speak the language fluently but they will at least know one or two Igbo words and they will be able to understand Igbo so that when you speak it to them they know what you’re saying.

So if they were to ask your children what other language is spoken at home, they will clearly shout Igbo Igbo Igbo. Emphasis on that home word.
