When Tinubu became president last year i predicted a toughest 18months for him at the start. Nigerians have seen "shege" based on the reforms. What most people visualise when they hear reforms is instant noodles, unfortunately it does not work that way, it typically comes with real hard pain enroute success.

Most past presidents cowardly can not try these reforms because they are thinking of 2nd term or mass revolt. Buhari could no truly remove Subsidy for 8 yrs. Tinubu had to wait for 14 months to truly remove all fuel subsidy however if when navigated properly will birth a new nation. The foundation is relayed to promote productivity, discipline and vision . The budget of Nigeria a country of over 200 million can not afford to be same as a Tier B university in USA and we expect massive development

Wrong on every count.

I sincerely hope you are not a er or beneficiary of this istration because that's the only reason you'll justify the anti-people policies of the APC.

I know this type of news can only come from Daily Trust.

The news outlet has an anti south agenda and will always post stories that will paint the government in bad light.

Buhari was president for 8 year but Daily Trust never saw any wrong in his government all through.

Tinubu also didn't see anything wrong in Buhari's government all through those 8 years.

When we tell them it is prayers u need to survive in this evil economy they say we are gullible ppl.

Let me tell you, no matter how hard they turn the economy and life to, if you keep steady your prayer life (have a job) you will be able to afford their cost.

Imagine you do a biz and you earn 1million this December. Tell me the kind of food you won't be able to afford?

You will eat and enjoy your Christmas. Guys pray make God pick ur call. U won't even dollar rate .

This is the funniest thing I have read today.

Food is too costly now, noodles and eggs cost 1500. Even the bukas are serving rubbish, now if I want vegetable I receive vegetables packed with Maggi, very little pepper, as if I'm eating Maggi and vegetables, and it's because they probably are low on pepper which is more expensive now. The best thing is to cook at home, outside food is now too expensive and on top of the expenses it's low quality and low quantity.

I feel weak because of health issues but I'd rather gather my strength these days and try to cook at home. At least, with my need for authenticity, I can't pack Maggi and reduce ingredients and tell myself I'm eating food. The oversalted outside food is making me repulsed towards food.

It's terrible.

You ed ndi sopissticated accommodators to Buhari in 2014/15, against better judgement. Even though that alone is sufficient to crucify you permanently, but at least you received sense early and got a brain reset within that muntula's first term.

The people who I would never forgive, and who I would pour fuel on them if I ever see them battling with fire, are those bastards (almost entirely ronu), who ed Buhari and still had the audacity to Teanoopoo again last year. God will punish all of them and their generations to come.

I recall under PDP when even the poorest people were taking things like indomie and bread and eggs for granted. But they felt they 'deserved better', and now even common akara they cannot afford again.

That's the problem with human beings. They hardly realise that they're having it good because they always deludedly think the grass can be greener.

Under GEJ, just #200 would give you a very satisfying and balanced meal. Now, even with #2000, you can't get food of the same value.

LOL

Anytime I hear 'new taxes' I want to laugh.

70% Of Nigerians eligible for taxes don't pay taxes. A lot of them think they pay taxes, but it goes into a black hole of corruption. Our tax to gdp is lower than even Niger Republic.

And it has been going on for decades. Our leaders take loans in part because they do not want to santise the tax collection system...because it means taxing very poor Nigerians. It also means sanitsing the black holes...which a good number of them benefit from. Not going to win votes. Not going to keep the Swiss as fat as a 600 Pound human. That is a big reason why Tinubu takes loans. If he did the right thing, he would get kicked out of office. straight. He would also be making life difficult for a lot of big people.

Sane nations tax everything. IN the UK....as a foreign resident, you still pay tv tax, radio tax and council tax. That is as a foreign resident. I never talk citizens...you pay all that plus income tax. That is a big part of how they get billions to loan us out of our sorry asses.

Nigeria is a broke ass country. I always laugh when people say we need to fight corruption, (and yes, we need to fight corruption), but before corruption, our budget was 35 trillion naira. For 200 million people, that is DARN TOO SCANTY. At the end of the day, the thieves come and steal out of that tiny sum, and thus we get bad government....but even if we stop stealing, we get work to do.

The funny thing is that people will start shouting at me and calling me agbado. Make dem continue. Truth is BITTER.

We need to fight corruption FIRST.
If we don't sanitize the system, forget any other story. Every effort will be for naught.

The problem is where do we start? Who is going to lead a genuine anti-corruption crusade? Certainly not these crop of reprobate politicians that benfit from the status quo. It just seems hopeless. Sometimes, I wish we were still under colonial rule...

Kamala Harris paid Oprah Winfrey $1million to help her failed presidential bid that cost a whopping $1.2billion.

Winfrey's Harpo Productions received $1million from the Harris campaign on October 15 after Winfrey hosted a star-studded town hall event for the Vice President in September, the Washington Examiner reports.

Winfrey also participated in the Democrat's last campaign rally in Philadelphia on the night before Election Day, alongside celebrities like Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin and Katy Perry, who publicly endorsed Harris

The legendary talk show host is not the only entertainer who received money from the Vice President in the hopes of helping her presidential campaign.

Harris reportedly spent six figures to build out the set for her October appearance on the hit podcast 'Call Her Daddy', where she sat down with the show's host Alex Cooper.

In total, the Harris campaign spent $1.2billion on the race while Trump's campaign spent $750 million, a Financial Times analysis found, although some believe Harris's spending could be even higher.

While the FT analysis states the Harris campaign spent $1.2 billion on the race, some believe the race was even more expensive than that.

The Harris campaign, d PACs and the Democratic National Committee amassed over $2.3 billion in political contributions.

Donald Trump's team, d PACs and the Republican National Committee raised $1.8 billion.

After raising nearly $4.2 billion, they spent a combined $3.5 billion on the presidential race, making it the most expensive contest ever held according to the analysis.

Despite spending less, Trump ended up trouncing Harris in the electoral and popular vote - which hasn't been done by the GOP in decades.

The Examiner had explored ways in which the Harris campaign had managed to burn through the eye-watering figure, which included the podcast appearance.

According to the outlet, her campaign and its s spent over $654 million from July to Election Day. Trump spent $378 million, 57 percent less than her.

One vendor, Village Marketing Agency, was paid over $3.9 million to recruit social media influencers to boost Harris' online appeal.

Event production, like the podcast appearance, was a big spend for the campaign who hosted the likes of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry on the eve of the election.

According to federal filings, the campaign paid over $15 million to companies for such services.

A better idea of their actual spending will be made clear as the Federal Election Commission mandates full reports from candidates within 30 days.

As Democrats still try and gather themselves following their loss to Trump earlier this week, Biden and Harris' teams are blaming each other for wasting their cash.

Workers in the White House and on the campaigns are ruthlessly continuing their blame game as to whether the president or vice president really dropped the ball.

Not only did their campaign end in disaster, but to add insult to injury the operation is reportedly in debt, Politico reports, to the tune of $20 million dollars.

Biden staff say the vice president ran a terrible, three-month campaign and squandered millions of dollars from their top donors.

'How did you spend $1 billion and not win? What the f***?' said a former Biden staffer infuriated by the Harris team excuses.

MailOnline has ed the Harris campaign for comment.

If Trump bag Pennsy, it will be a total humiliation for Harris. Trump is going to break US voting records.

Pennsylvania is gone for Harris.
Where will she get the votes to overturn Trump's 150,000 lead?

It's looking increasingly likely that the Presidency, Senate and Congress will all be held by the Republicans.

This does not in any way address or answer my simple direct question to you. You claim that Trump as president would somehow f-k up plans suggesting that help Africa in some way. So again, the last time Trump was there, did he in any way f-k up any one's plan or help free Africa from the hands of any of the so-called puppets? undecided

I get you now.
I didn't claim such (re: the bolded) though I quite understand how you could overreach and arrive at that conclusion. However, in this case, one does not imply the other.
What I was trying to point out was that a key strategy of the globalists' agenda is to install puppets in a region's positions of power, so as to keep a tight rein on the affairs of such region. What's good or bad for the people of that region matters little. It's the globalists' agenda first and foremost. . America is a key nation in that plan but Trump isn't likely to accept such control or restraint, making him a danger to the globalist cartel. Leaders that can't be controlled are taken out or vilified. Tinubu is simply playing out the script given to him by his globalist overlords.

Kobo, you're not a baby and I believe you're quite perceptive on world events. This isn't about whether or not one likes Trump. It's about the bigger picture. Wars must go on because conflict is a powerful tool. Resources, money and people must be transferred continuously from X to Y. This is very easy to do during instability. The African continent mustn't be allowed to develop, it's the world's dumping heap for now. The Middle East must remain volatile. Russia must be destabilized to stifle the possibility of a multipolar world. The president of America, the most powerful nation on Earth, must be someone that is controllable and compliant. S/he must put the global agenda as his/her top priority. S/he must be a puppet.

enthroned to protect American/western interests.

I like the word 'enthroned' but I feel 'installed' is more apt. Also, it's more than American/Western interests now: it's the globalist agenda. That's why Trump must not be allowed to win. He's going to f**k up their plans big time.
