Use the savings to refurbish our moribund refineries or build modular refineries in each state. Establish many compressed natural gas stations or other alternative fuels across states, cities and towns. Encourage solar powered electricity supply to stability of normal conventional electricity supply across the country for at least 12 hours daily during day time eg 6am to 6pm.
Why is the President not even talking of solving the root problem of subsidy which is building refineries? I guess all these gimmicks is to prepare ground for the private refinery in Lagos to monopolise refining and sales of petroleum products so as to recoup the huge money they invested.

Allowing government build refinery or repair them will take us back again. The refineries have always been their cash cow in one way or the other.

Nobody can say for sure what we need from these mindless people.

The Tough Life of Citizen Niyi

His name is Mr. Niyi Okediji. A 44 year-old Nigerian who lives in Kosobo area of Oyo town.
For nearly two years now, Mr. Niyi has been incapacitated due to injuries sustained during an early morning accident while going to the farm.
As a result of the accident, his both thigh-bones got broken and had been unable to move since then. Mr. Niyi, no doubt, has had a run of tough luck over the years.

The first was over 20 years ago which affected his waist and right leg causing him to limp while working. Second was an attack from armed robbers which has left his entire dentition mangled.
Now, this current accident has made his bad situation even worse.

A very optimistic Niyi, who is single and lives without any helper, has been living on the mercy of neighbours in respect of feeding. He currently has no means of treating himself as the various hospitals he has visited could not help him due to lack of funds.
