The ministry is growing! Bigger! Better! Stronger! Welcome to part 4 of this thread. Old things must away, and new things take effect!n (Although the info in Parts 1, 2 and 3 remain priceless and Must/Ought to be read by any serious applicant.Part 2 was wonderful. Lots of lovely people offering great advice. Each in their own unique style. You guys rock!!! You know yourselves. For enquiries relating to likely interview questions and self evaluation, kindly go through both parts 1 and 2 of this thread so you have a fair knowledge of answers to such questions. Kindly note that this is a do it yourself thread. Nobody here is an agent. Nobody is a VO, hence cannot authoritatively predict your chances of visa success . Happy reading and good luck to all the honest visa seekers! Please see part 1 here for reference: https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/608780/usa-visit-visa/322#38856287 See part 2 here for reference https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/2656320/usa-visit-visa-part-2 For part 3 https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/4116999/usa-visit-visa-part-3/507#77029195 Due to the fact that some questions are frequently asked, repeated and retreated, the links to the questions are contained herein for easy reference For instructions and documents required for the application http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/mobile//non-immigrant_visas.html To book appointment and fill DS 160 http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/mobile//niv_appointmnent_instructions.html Note:The steps for the whole process is set out step by step. For your own good, adhere. If not, a possibility exists that the final ds 160 number will be different from the one used to book the appointment . Applicants in those situations will neither be allowed to enter the embassy nor will they be interviewed. In the event of such an occurence, kindly call/email the embassy to sort it out . Peraventure you wish to change a detail in an already submitted ds 160, fill a new one, submit and call/email the embassy For US embassy Nos and email http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/mobile/.html For video interviews with actual VOs on frequently asked Questions https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/2656320/usa-visit-visa-part-2/180#47174473 https://plus.google.com/app/basic/s/%23AsktheVOs For documents : http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/mobile//non-immigrant_visas.html For sample transcripts of some interviews (as posted by the s of this thread) Please check this link https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com//4692218 Finally, Lying on your ds 160 or during the interview is misrepresentation and a crime. This thread's aim is not to teach / coach applicants on how to lie. The truth is ALWAYS the best course of action no matter the situation. Please DO NOT ask about how to misrepresent on this thread. I'm grateful to God that I am alive to create this new part. And for the several friends I have made hereon. Thank you. Humbly LadyGuinivere 20 Likes 1 Share |

timhannah93:I have never and will never comment on chances. I will however advice either she or you to read the thread. And weigh her options based on the statistics she sees here. Information is King and key. However, the proper thing is to apply from where one has ties. I suppose her ties are in the Caribbean now. It is now for a visa officer to determine if it's sufficient. Good luck |

MamaOO:I agree with your opinion. The path is paved with so many downturns Reason for seeking an extension? Not strong If refused, immediate sending back If I read correctly, she has already overstayed Renewal will be an issue... |

ApcSucks:Uwc Udo! |
![]() |
ApcSucks:Read the thread Compare yourself with the successful applicants Collate the statistics. Are the odds in your favor? Weigh your options. Are you willing to take the risk? That is called self evaluation . Only you can do that. Anyone attempting to do that for you will be doing you a disservice |
![]() |
ApcSucks: It seems you actually don't want "evaluation " No one can evaluate chances. It's like a mantra here. No one is a vo. So when you insist on asking that question, then you do realize you are opening a door wide for opinions. And opinions are subject to each person , varies and so vast.... and you just gotta take it or leave it. 1 Like |

Amalahajames:OK let me answer you. If you want to leave this country, then this is the wrong thread sir. This thread is for B visas, aka visit and return visa. You should explore the other threads or research other US visas that allow for relocation legally or other countries. Finally. If you wish to get a B visa and abscond with it, it is illegal and you cannot be offered advice on how to commit a crime here. Jah bless 12 Likes |

My dear pinksunset, if you lie with dogs, you'll get fleas. Biko flee. When you see a rope that is unravelling, you just distance your self from the drama. I have decided to ignore the attn seeker. I issues with reason and not empty vessels. The fellow is upset cos the free advice dey knock em business. One day he screams carry documents, the next he makes statemrnts no one can understand. Let us be praying for inner peace ![]() 8 Likes |

Maadun:Between now and April 4 is loads of time. Fill a brand new form. Write to the embassy to update they with your profile. That should sort the second issue. And yes it matters if the day 160 u wish to use is different from that on your letter |

ninab: My dear. Don't be quick to jump on. Read my posts . I mean post in plural. I don't have any issue with asking questions. That's why I and Several others have been here for over.... Several years. I have been saying it and I'm still saying it. Some questions need research and " what is your opinion? " and "what are my chances? " solve nothing. There's a reason why the "silent readers" have a higher percentage of success. They read. Take notes. Weigh all their options and throw out chaff. There are questions that are a bit different and special... And also There are some answers that evolve . Like the fellow that asked about visa reissuance without using it. Before, it wasn't an issue. Now it is. But guess what? A quick scan of like 10-20 pages would have answered the question and give the seeker more depth cos he would be seeing live transcripts and not answers from guessers and folks that have no visas. Then there are the common questions that are literally on every page. Yes. I applaud everyone that has time to answer questions. But I ask u: Have you ever been lost and misled by "kind Samaritans " who directed you? Meanwhile you could have used Google Map. So if you didn't get it. I'll break it down for you. I stand by my opinion, folks should always seek the best source of info. 3 Likes |

My people perish for lack of knowledge Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Folks have decided not to research and depend on asking questions from faceless folks that they do not know the source of their knowledge. Even some of the "advice" lack logic and common sense. For anyone that has refused to read the US embassy website or the thread the VOs set up or do general research keep on taking the advice that changing your email is misrepresentation..... 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Princess080: Their job is to access ties not judge Christian beliefs. I have seen a man and his 3 wives and kids at the embassy. Note : they are Muslims 1 Like |

Princess080:The US embassy is aware of our shitty traditions. Men marry second wives. Is it a crime? Yes. Bigamy is but who has prosecuted? The issue you should be asking is, how does the situation pan out tie wise. if they are Muslim its OK and she will be considered married and hence they will count as ties. If they are Christians, then the "marriage " is a weak tie if is even to be considered as such. However, the fact remains. she is inexorably tied to this fellow and if married to him under customary law, is well...married and not mentioning that would be misresentation. Not judging but if she s OK with being a second wife and having kids, why should it be a secret?! 6 Likes |
