Long shot but I've been trying to the title of a Nollywood film I was watching where a girl makes the transformation from villager to big Lagos girl. It is not Jenifa, but the storyline is similar to that. The story was about this girl that moved from the village to the city and even the city girls couldn't keep up with her. The girl had a catchphrase that was really funny. Something like 'efeezy' but I'm been searching for that and still can't find the film. It came out around 2016. If anyone re this film or similar ones, please tell me |

Thank you to whoever posted the dissertation. It is rare to find information about Zaria before the rise of Dan Fodio in the 18th century, so that is much appreciated!

I have a blog, Facebook and twitter page about Zaria and I’m looking for contribution in the form of photos from your visits, your written experience of travelling there, or if you live or study there - some information you would like to share with the world. What do you like or dislike about Zaria? How is Zaria changing? You can also contribute anything about Zaria on this page. When you think of Zaria what comes to your mind. Which historical figures from Zaria do you know and what do you know about them? |

2016 prophecies from pentecostal pastors have ranged from claims that 89-year-old Queen Elizabeth may die this year (Joshua Iginla), there will be food scarcity (JB Joshua), and from Adeboye, “there will be a new sexually transmitted infection” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8Y56sgP7YM |

Congratulations to you all. What are you doing with your uniforms? I need them please.. I know many of you hated wearing them. Don't throw them away

Hey Obi, were you able to replace your boots?

Sorry if someone has posted this before but as someone who is not doing NYSC, is it possible to buy the uniform? Are non-corpers allowed on the sites to go the shop? Will I need a number/letter? I've read that it costs N7,500 is that still the case? Thanks |

I need a place to stay in Lagos until the end of July so I can't go for the usual 1 or 2 year contracts. I'm after a 4 month short let - could be a studio flat or a room in a bigger flat or house.

It's simple.. The reason for atheists hiding their beliefs is the consequences that come with itting to being an atheist in a regressive society like Nigeria where individualism is not understood or celebrated. one of the main reasons religion still exists is the danger that comes with breaking away from the mold. If you will be ostracized, made to feel evil, up to a level of being disowned by your family as the case is with Africans then of course you'll keep it to yourself. However, it is important that people like LogicBoy exist on the internet because at least there is a voice for people who are non conformists. young Nigerians trying to make sense of religion will know that the option is there - It's OK not to believe in a god, and it's equally okay to do so. Whatever rocks your boat - It's not an argument to be won, it's just a way of being - live and let live. 1 Like |

Hi lawyer, We want to a non profit organisation in nigeria that already exists in the UK. It has been going for over 7 years, already has all the paperwork that you said you need to create such as constitution, trustees etc. it files annual tax returns and receives funding from major organisations. Is there a straightforward process of presenting the original certificates and charity status approval that would waive going through the entire process again? How do we go about it? Just to be clear, we are not closing the UK arm, we just want to expand into Nigeria Thanks 1 Like |

Boss13: Hi Benodic once I , I am automatically a member and I start to receive all the benefits enlisted above by you? And if you don't, are you going to hold him able? I find that a lot of people look for a new church, a new religion, anywhere that promises them blessings and benefits and this is really the wrong way to go about things. You will only be disappointed. Eck actually encourages you to study its teachings for a while and see if it is agreeable to you - nobody will just sign you up on your first day - they shouldn't anyway. |

Hi Benodic, Glad to have found your post. I'm not officially a member but I used to attend Eckankar fellowships in London and I would like to attend while I'm here in Nigeria. Can you recommend an Eck centre somewhere near Lekki in Lagos I can go? Thanks |

Meanwhile in Nigeria.. Gay people face 14 years in prison for being... gay! The UK is progressing, Nigeria is regressing |

I'm surprised you haven't sorted this out after more than 2 years But I understand how that is possible since there is no website, information centre or anything that makes things clear You have to rely on bits of information people give you, which is constantly changing As you may well know Nigeria is a mad place where you can make anything happen if you have the money With me, I had lost my original birth certificate and when I recently went to Nigeria, I went to the local govt office They pointed us to the right office to speak to 'Iya Birth' (that's really what they call her haha) My brother did all the talking for me - he just said we want a long format BC (Birth Certificate) I didn't say a word because once they hear my accent in Nigeria, the price of everything triples She told him there were 3 types and brought out examples The standard small certificate - less than half an A4 (Hospitals tend to give out this type) A regular certificate - Half of A4 (This is the type I had lost) A long certificate - Longer than A4 (This has yours and your parents details) She didn't even ask for ID or anything - just told us to write down all the information we want to go on the BC She was trying to figure out how much she could squeeze out of us and was saying 'Is it for Embassy? Are you traveling?' But we simply avoided the chit chat and said we want the long one She said it will be N7,000, and that it would be ready in a week No receipt, nothing - but when we came to pick it up it was ready as promised It is acceptable anywhere - I presented this BC in the registry when I got married abroad I also used it in getting a new port with my new name So it's more than valid anywhere - worldwide I thought that fee was extortionate btw so you should be able to get a better deal Whether I was present or not, the BC would have been just as easily obtainable, so please just try to sort this thing out. Best of luck ![]() 1 Like |

@ obisage, don't worry it's not essential that you already know a place well to go there, a lot of things will just happen organically. I haven't been to any of those places but I've been researching each state and know where I want to go, where I can stay etc. As long as you're armed with as much information as possible and trust your gut instincts you'll be fine.

I want to spend a few weeks exploring Eastern and Northern Nigerian states and I'm looking for a travel buddy. This would be great for any photography enthusiast or documentary filmmaker. Places I'm looking to visit include: Niger, Adamawa, Bauchi, Kaduna, Kano, Nassarawa, Jigawa, Plateau, Zamfara, Benin, Asaba and Calabar. If you are local to some of these areas and are up for doing a leg of it with me, I'll like to hear from you

Thanks for that idea but if I can get married in Nigeria I wouldn't need to get remarried again elsewhere.
