In the name of Allah, The Beneficient, The Merciful; -Please place yor palms on your chest and feel your heartbeat for some seconds. That is literally the sound of your life counting down..If you were destined for say; 100,000 heart beats, then maybe u might have just felt your heartbeat Number 99,000th, it's now up to you to utilise your last 1000 heartbeats. Time is one of the great blessings Allah (SWT) has bestowed on us, that we waste. The mere fact that you're reading this means He spared you till this moment. It means you still have the chance; to repent and to utilise your remaining heartbeats. 'Tik Tok' is a phrase signifying the counting down of time. Then we should always The 'Tik Tok' in each of our lives. We should understand that each morning we open our eyes, and say 'AlhamduliLlah', is another opportunity God bestowed on us to right our wrongs. If we spend 10 minutes in each of our daily obligatory prayers,It means we spend 50minutes/less than an hour, out of 24hours He gifted us.But yet, you find it difficult to expend that time to devote to He Who gave you the legs to stand and can see you stand through 1hour30mins to watch a football match. May Allah (SWT) grant us the ability to utilise our time to gain His pleasure/Mercy, and ultimately; Aljannatul Firdaus.. 2 Likes |

The most beloved 10 days to Allah during the whole year is indeed the 1st ten days of Dhul-Hijj which starts early next week inshaAllah.. Allah (SWT) Himself swore by these days in the Qur'an..Our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was also reported to have said ' No days where righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than the deeds done in these days (1st ten days of Dhul-Hijj)'. It is an opportunity and blessing for Allah to spare our lives till then.let us not waste these days but use it to seek Allah's love and pleasure..It is advisable to fast the whole 9 days and if not, atleast on the day of Arafat, which is on the 9th Dhul-Hijj..The fasting on the day of Arafat wipes 2 years of sins. May Allah grant us the ability to perform much righteous deeds during this period and beyond & may He accept it from us and grant us Aljannatul firdaus.. |

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatuLLAH wa barakatuh..I begin with a wide-known Ayah of Allah (SWT) in the Qur'an saying; "And do not spy or backbite each other.Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? you would detest it. And fear Allah; indeed Allah is Accepting of repentance & Merciful"(Q49:12).. Spying and back biting is likened to the despiseful act of eating the flesh of our fellow brothers, but we have today subconsciously made it a part of our daily lives/routine, subhanAllah! How many times in a day do u pop into your dear brothers' and fellow sisters' profiles and status'? Have you ever asked yourself what it is you gain from such action, in which u spend most hours of your day on? Allah sees and knows your intention when you click on that profile, tweet, picture or status? Is it to gain beneficial knowledge or to spy and find out what your dear brother/sister is in and forward/re-broadcast? So by the above ayah, how many pounds of flesh do u consume in a day? For most parts of the day, we spend hours on social media but rarely make a dime, impact or increase in beneficial knowledge but end up losing time, money/data and energy.Worse still, we end up criticising government(s) that we can't do better than if tested with those seats..we end up abusing anonymous people that we can't find later on to beg for forgiveness and have to repay on d hereafter, we end up seeing illicit images that are not of our muharrams/siblings..we end up getting closer to Fornication (Zina) from relationships we build that we know are not for marriage.. Let us pause and ask ourselves if the internet on the day of judgement will be a blessing to us or a curse..it is a platform to access billions of people in seconds! What message/impact do u use it to gain? What do you lose? It has been reemphasized by our religion to mind our business, speak only of good, to not spy or backbite, to not go near to Zina, to not be wasteful,to seek beneficial knowledge, to not hate/envy, to seek but from Allah's 'giveaway' and to be of the pious..so which of these does your social media/internet activities promote? Let us try and filter our activities and gain the most from this technology.. May Allah(SWT) guide us on the straight path, forgive our sins and grant us aljannatul firdaus.. 2 Likes |

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh, My dear brothers and sisters in Islam, it is worthy to start by mentioning a hadith reported by Abu Huraira: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The first action for which a servant of Allah will be held able on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayers. If they are in order, then he will have prospered and succeeded. If they are lacking, then he will have failed and lost. If there is something defective in his obligatory prayers, then the Almighty Lord will say: 'See if my servant has any voluntary prayers that can complete what is insufficient in his obligatory prayers'. The rest of his actions will be judged in the same way.” Sunan al-Tirmidhī 413 Then let us ask ourselves whether we fulfil the obligatory prayers themselves let alone the voluntary prayers. As the world cup season begins, it is pertinent to note that the 3 matches played on every match day coincides with the 4 prayer times of the obligatory salats. That is, around 1pm for dhuhr, around 4pm for asr and from around 7pm to 9pm for magrib through to isha'i..there is therefore a point to make as to whether you'd rather follow the congregation and earn its rewards and pleasure of Allah while missing some few minutes of the game or you'd rather follow up on the game and make for the salats later. Let us ponder on the reason we would give if we were to die while forsaking the salat for this game; 'We were watching football'..You can't give your boss that excuse, let alone his Creator!! Let us that we shall be asked over our salats and never over the scores.. Don't watch your team win while you lose to Allah.. Let us miss those minutes of the field and please the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth.. Let us say du'a and dhikr and miss those moments of shouting and foul language.. Let us that Allah watches over all our affairs, and if we Him, He re us..'and verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find peace.. May Allah make it easy for us all.. Jazakumullah bi Khair.. 14 Likes 4 Shares |

*There are 5 types of children:*_ *《1》* Does not do what his parents order him *(this type is 'aaq - i.e. undutiful/disobedient [which is one of the seven majors sins])* *《2》* Does what his parents tell but is displeased with it *(this type does not gain any reward)* *《3》* Does what he is told but follows it up by raising his voice, or mentioning those favors *[e.g. I have done so much for you, I am always doing 'xyz' for you..]* _*(this type earns a sin)*_ *《4》* Does what he is told, willingly and happily *(this type is rewarded),* and they are few. *《5》* Does what his parents want before he is even told *(this is the type which is al-baar al-muwafaq i.e. dutiful and kind to his parents and is given the ability to be successful in all his affairs),* and they are rare. As for the last two types, don't ask about the barakah *[blessings ﷲ͜عَزَّوَجَــــل puts in person's time, wealth, health, efforts etc. whereby it increases, multiplies or a lot of good comes from something little]* they will have in their life, and the vast provision *(rizq i.e. wealth, knowledge, health etc. ﷲ͜عَزَّوَجَــــل gives them);* and how much their hearts will be at rest; and the ease they will find in all their affairs *[due to being dutiful to their parents].* The difficult question for every person is - what type of child are you? Don't think that by simply kissing the forehead or hands, or even the feet of your parents, that you have attained their ultimate pleasure.. Ask yourself - what is al-Birr *(being dutiful and kind towards one's parents)?* *... Al-birr* is to recognize what is in the heart of your parents and act upon it without waiting for an instruction. *Al-birr* is knowing what makes them happy, then racing towards doing it; and understanding what hurts them, then striving that they don't ever see it from you! *Al-birr* could be in something that you feel your parents desire, and you bring it to them, even a cup of tea.. *Al-birr* is that you ensure the comfort of your parents, even at the cost of your own happiness; so if you staying out late will cause them worry and stress, then you sleeping early is part of your birr *(kindness)* towards them. *Al-birr* is that you miss a party that you are invited to when you feel, even for a second, that your staying out late will cause then worry and stress. *Al-birr* is to plan a surprise Umrah or Hajj trip for your parents and arranging for them a nice hotel which they deserve! *Al-birr* is to cheer up your parents - at an age where *(for them)* there does not remain a lot which brings them joy and happiness... Al-birr is to spend abundantly on your parents from your wealth even if they posses millions, without thinking twice about how much they own or whether they need it; for everything you have is only because of their hard work, and sleepless nights which they spent looking after you.. Al-birr is to look for their comfort, and not let them exert effort to make you comfortable, for it is enough how much strived for your sake already... There are many ways for al-birr which lead to al-Janah *(Paradise),* so don't restrict it to a single kiss on the forehead which may be followed up by many shortcomings... *و قَضَى رَبُّكَ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُواْ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا* _*{And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment.} (Quran 17:23)* |

Assalamu alaikum brothers & sisters, Let me start off with a hadith from Abu-Dawud that says 'Of all the lawful acts, the most hated to Allah is divorce'. Today we see or hear so many Muslim couples threatening to or even outrightly divorcing their spouses for reasons too small to justify these actions. There are few things we need to conceptualise during these satanic temptations; 1) There is no such thing as a perfect being; Every person has his/her shortcomings either known or unknown, so even if you feel your spouse can be replaced, know that you have about 3.5billion other imperfect options to choose from. 2) Allah loves those that are patient; The Qur'an tells us about how patience is a virtue loved by the Almighty and how the patient ones will reap from their actions on the last day. This is known to most of us but yet we seek to choose the most detestable of lawful acts to that most beloved by Allah. 3) Noone in this world can truly love your children like their mothers; If that 'replacement' is caring towards your children, Alhamdulillah, but know that there is only 1 'mother's love' or bond..In a famous hadith from Sahih Bukhari, we learnt that Allah's mercy is far greater than that of a mother to her son.Perhaps this is to show us the peak of mercy in human interrelations is that between a mother and her son and to further teach us of the greater mercy of Allah, which is beyond our peak.. 4) Marriage is never a 'they lived happily ever after' story..but it's a story that you write yourself, so u can make sure the good scenes outshine the bad.. 5) Are those people advising you to take a divorce married or not?? Then does it mean they have a 100% perfect spouse?? And then why are they still married?? People try so hard to keep and mend their marriage but yet find it so easy to advise others to quit.. 6) Broken homes are the worst kind of homes; Imagine how you two are trying to instill discipline on your kids..Now imagine how only one of you can handle that herculean task..take a sample number of how many young drug addicts/deviants are in your society.now count how many amongst them are victims of broken homes.. There is an entire surah in the Qur'an on divorce (Surah At'talaq:65) and even therein Allah swt offers help, ease, guidance and reconciliation for those who believe/entrust Him.. Let us learn to look before we leap.. may Allah (swt) always guide and choose what is best for us in this life and the Hereafter.. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

YOU WILL GET ADDICTED TO ISTAGHFAR AFTER READING THIS INSHA ALLAH.* A man once came to al-Hasan al-Basri and complained to him: *“The sky does not shower us with rain.”* He replied: *“Seek Allah’s forgiveness (i.e. say ﺃﺳﺘﻐﻔﺮ ﺃﻟﻠﻪ ).”* Then another person came to him and said, *“I complain of poverty.”* He replied: *“Seek Allah’s forgiveness.”* Then another person came to him and complained, *“My wife is barren; she cannot bear children.* ” He replied: *“Seek Allah’s forgiveness.”* The people who were present, said to al-Hasan: *“Everytime a person came to you complaining, you instructed them to Only to seek Allah’s forgiveness?”* Al-Hasan al-Basri said, “Have you not read the statement of Allah? *“Ask forgiveness of your Lord. He will send rain to you in abundance; increase you in wealth and children; grant you gardens and bestow on you rivers.”‘”* _[Nuh (71):10-12]_ There are two things in the earth that give a person safety and security from the punishment of Allah. _*GOOD NEWS!!!!*_ _Alhamdullilah! In shaa Allah, Ramadan is 1st, 1438Ah Saturday, 27th may, 2017._ _Ramadan will likely start on may 27th 2017, which is only 145 days from today. The Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, says if one informs another about Ramadan first - hell fire will become haram for that individual._ As we look forward to this blessed month, may Allah (SWT) make us among the lucky ones to reap from the bounties of the month and that night which is better than 1000 months (laylatul qadr)..Ameen!! Allahu Akbar; This indeed is what is truly defined as 'opportunity';1 night > 83 years (1000 months). How many of us will get to live for 83 years? Then imagine how many of us who attain that age can stand for the ibadah we have done in each of those years?? Now look at the opportunity: if we stand in prayer and firm worship for the entire 29 or 30 nights of Ramadan, inshaAllah we will definitely have witnessed this night which will mean our supplications/prayers will be granted, sins forgiven and ALJANNAH in the hereafter inshaAllah... If Allah can be there for us throughout our lives, why can't we worship and pray to Him firmly for just 30 nights STRAIGHT in each year?? May He accept our deeds and grant us the ability to do so....Ameen!! What if this year will be your last opportunity?? 1 Like 1 Share |
