Hello guys, I would appreciate clarification on something.
I have a valid visa to Canada and a work permit that expires next year. However, I entered Canada last year and stayed for about 5 days and since then, I have been in the UK to finish up with a program.

Would I still be able to re enter Canada judging that I have been away for about 6 months?

There's no issue here. Since your visa is valid and your work permit expires next year, you are good to go!

I am the Manager of a Hotel. There is this waitress that is also working at the hotel, very respectful and loyal. All the workers in the hotel respect me to the bone.

Until the same waitress keep hailing me when ever she come to my office she will say may may u are a very handsome guy o. During my off day I called her to a bar in my area cause that was her off day too. I bought her barbeque and holandia yourgut. We lodge an hotel room and she satisfy me well.

The next morning I told her we won't do this again that is wrong because am a married man she said no problem, since then this girl has been disrespecting me, she embarrass me in front of the supervisors. My supervisor got angry and told me to sack her or report her to the owner of the hotel. I told them I will handle the issue.

This your story reminds me of a colleague in my office then wey i dey flog! During lunch breaks for BJ inside my vehicle or sometimes after work to fire down . We once did it in our MD's office after everyone had gone home Badass doggie! The only difference is I went into the sex-lationship because i was sure we both had something to lose if anyone found out.

My only advice to you is for next time - For cases that may have negative repercussions, always ensure that the second party has something to lose.

When reapplying using GCK, am I to enter the UCI from the former application or a new UCI will be generated for me.

Think of your UCI - unique Client Identifier as your id number with IRCC. It is unique to only you. Typically each applicant should have only one and this should be used in every application you send to IRCC. Ultimately, your UCI becomes your Permanent Resident card ID number. Hope this helps.

What type of school do you think someone earning 500k can send his kids to?? Definitely not the likes I’d want my kids to attend. And what type of environment would that person live in Alagbole?? Or magboro? And what’s the security like in those areas? electricity? Now with that said, here in Canada, education is free!!!!! Meaning I do not have to overly worry about the standard of school (and all the cost associated with that) I send my kids. Also, security is relatively stable, there is 247 electricity which I would have to pay through my nose to have in naija. Still on the 500k?

The problem with the majority of Nigerians is them thinking it’s all about money. Kindly google what ‘standard of living’ means. With 1million naira, I can’t afford the standard of living I’m currently getting in Canada ! In nigeria I have to consider security, education, job security, savings becos safety nets aren’t existent.

N500k is not a lot of money. Definitely not enough for the type of lifestyle I grew up in and was definitely not going to be enough to care for my family. There are some lows some of us will never settle for without a fight! My fight was to leave my comfort zone and seek a better life! Now I get to choose the life I’ve always dreamt of in Canada ��.

Not everyone will leave naija sha. It worked out for me and mines

it’s not only about bills or money. What quality of life can you get in today’s Nigeria with 500k? With $15k monthly abroad, you can do a lot !

For me, it was more than worth it. I came to Canada in 2018 as a student, leaving behind my wife and son. Before leaving naija, i worked as a consultant earning about 450k per month. Back then, my future seemed bleak and the fear of not being able to provide for my family daunted me since 2016 until i made the move.

Today - I work in IT. I am waayyyyyyyyyy better in my state of mind, finances, future outlook etc. My family and I are permanent residents of Canada and confident in our future.

My little cent, if you've got the opportunity to leave Nigeria, TAKE IT AND RUN!!! Any enjoyment you think you've got in nigeria is nothing compared to what is possible abroad. Im guessing this also depends on the country though But naija nor be am!

There should be an electronic copy of your assessment in your Wes profile attached once your evaluation is complete. The electronic copy is what is required when submitting your application.

My family got their ports back today Feb 11th from vfs lagos. The ports were sent Jan 12th.

I applied for canadian FSW permanent residency more than a year ago from my home country and till now my application is still in progress. However, recently, I have moved to another country for studies on a temporary visa for 17 months. Is it necessary to inform IRCC about my new location? All my details such as email, phone and mailing address(in my home country) are still valid and functioning even as I am in a different location. I have some of my family still liviing in my mailing address in my home country. Thanks for your reply.

Since you’ll be in the new country for a while, you should raise a webform to inform IRCC about your change in address.

The confusing part is the collection of port (No 2 above). One-way delivery is to just drop off the ports at Lagos vfs right? So, at what point do we pay for the ports delivery back to me via courier?

Is there like an upfront payment for courier delivery back to the sender before sending the port to them OR Lagos vfs communicates this on a later date after initial port submissions.

Really need more clarification on this part please.

In my case, I paid for additional service (1 way courier ~16800 - check VFS Lagos website under additional services) and included the payment slip and the full address where I want the port returned to. I included this and the other documents earlier stated in the envelope that I mailed to VFS Lagos.

Gather all documents required by IRCC and your VFS:

1. International port(s)

2. 2 port Photographs (see further instructions below in addendum 1)

3. port Request Letter (aka ready for visa mail)

4. Duly filled Height and Eye Colour Chart. (A single form containing details for every member of the family)

5. IMM008 for those with a change in family composition (by a birth, death, marriage or divorce, etc)

6. 1 CVAC form. With only page 2 filled in by PA. Do not fill pages 3 & 4. Also advisable to fill in Caps. Ink color doesn't matter.

Put all documents in an envelope and proceed to DHL or any courier of your choice and pay for a one-way delivery to the VFS centre where you reside: Abuja or Lagos. Since I reside in Abuja, I sent mine to Abuja via UPS. You do not have to pay any fee if your submission centre also served as where you did your biometrics. That is: if you are submitting to Abuja and you did your biometrics in Lagos, you'd have to pay the transmission fee.

VFS sends to Accra, who will then submit to the high commission.

Addendum 1.
-2 recent port photos per person.
-Not older than 6 months
-In Canadian PR dimension (refer to photo chart)
-1 detailed copy with the name and DOB of the person at the back. Below that, write or stamp the Name
& address of photo studio with date photo was taken.
-A second copy for each person is left plain


Other Things to note:

1. Wait for the VFS tracking details— they will give you update on when it will be sent to IRCC and when it will be returned to you
2. Wait for the return of your port— VFS also uses DHL or any other courier to return.
