OKEMKPI: How many watts? |

Drgreatone: The aforementioned equipment are not used daily….. Some days not used at all….. the weaving machine and sewing machine are all using servo motor which does not stress the system at all… though I’m planning for an upgrade soon. It’s just a temporary system in place. The shop closes by 6pm and hence battery is not really in used… 1 Like |

I have a question to ask, still a newbie I have installed 1.5kva 12V Inverter (Transformer based) with 1pc of 240v GSR battery at my wife's shop She has an electric sewing machine, weaving machine, buttonhole machine and button tacking machine None of the machine are above 300W Though the inverter carries all the stated machines but not at the same time.... Each is used one at a time... And some are not used everyday... Now I've decided to install a solar to enable charge the battery, So I bought Jinko 580W X 3, I have already installed 40A Felicity CC (It was just the that was remaining) I would like to know if the s and the CC will serve the purpose of charging the battery full on time before going on float charge so that the sun can be maximised during the day time for energy consumption in her shop Note: She closes around 6pm, so the battery won't be put to use..... 1 Like |

sharks776: Thanks for your input, I will go for a 24v Inverter though and Tall Tubular Batteries for now...... Na when person don build house finish i fit talk about expanding or upgrading to a new setup system. The Starlink is very good and Ultra-fast!! I've even dismantled my DSTV dish cos i'm using IPTV and doesn't buffer a milli second... maybe except on a rainy or stormy day which doesn't last than 5 minutes The cons: *Monthly Sub is expensive especially when you do not stay at home all day (Though we split payment between my neighbor who uses the internet too) * Requires steady power supply for it to work unlike our rechargeable Mifi hence more reason I wanna get a power backup plan |

futurenix: Thanks for your input, I have a washing machine, 1.5 HP Inverter air conditioning unit, Deep Freezer (I think is about 200+ liters) A small LG fridge, 65'' Inch LED TV But out of the aforementioned appliances, I tend to do power management when the inverter is in used and also depends the last time NEPA light or generator was used to power the chest freezer.. The Chest Freezer will mostly be used on the inverter at least 3-4 hours daily depending on the cold state of the freezer... TV is definitely gonna be in used with my starlink Internet at night.... Other items will be off... I don't even intend using my air-conditioning unit or Washing machine with the inverter, My generator or NEPA light will power these items when needed and i have a solar rechargeable fans for ventilation. My budget for this system setup is tied to the quality of the tall tubular battery to be used, Inverter system and .... this can help me tailor my budget, hence the reason i needed some answers and recommendation to my questions to help me plan towards it |

Dear fellow solar enthusiast and Engineers in the house…….. We all know the economy is biting harder every day and buying fuel every day to run the house while currently embarking on a house building project is really eating a big chunk on my daily expenses and I would like to take away this burden permanently by installing a solar system. Firstly, Since I’m really new to this kind of setup… I would like to ask a lot but few questions so that I can choose or make the best decision when getting the system installed in my house. I have already settled for a 3.5KVA Inverter solar system, because I need it to power my chest freezer at home (Since this is the most important thing at home for food storage) NEPA light is non-existent in my area 1. Which inverter brand is the best based on your experience or customer reviews, I have heard about transformer based and those with microprocessors, which one is better and can withstand the test of time (I know nothing lasts forever) but I should get value for my money 2. For a 3.5KVA system, How many batteries and solar s is needed for this kind of setup to power a chest freezer for at least 4-5 hours daily 3. What is the difference between the 12V, 24V and 48V type of inverter system? Which one of this is more efficient? 4. What’s the best and efficient battery for a good solar system setup, I understand Lithium battery is good, but right now it is expensive for my budget (Cos I’m currently embarking on a project that requires more funds) Tall Tubular Battery? Gel-battery or Lead acid battery? 5. Which brand of solar s is better? I’ve read online that Monocrystalline s are the best, but which of this MC brands in Nigeria are of good quality? 6. Is it a requirement to buy lot of s with low wattage when I can get a higher wattage s with less quantity to install on the roof? 7. Why do we settle for inverters with external charge controller rather than an inbuilt charger or recommend a good hybrid inverter brand with at least 100A MPTT Charge controller 8. Lastly, is there a type of inverter that can use energy generated directly from the solar s during the day for powering of appliances while charging the battery for night use without been in use during the day time? If yes what are the setup required for this kind of system? I know most of these questions might have been answered in previous pages, but I will be grateful if you guys can be of help to a newbie trying to get some information on solar systems Cc futurenix Valto Bassdow oweniwe |
