The people saying lugbe and kubwa probably have never been to Abuja. Considering what you listed, Mpape is the best option for you. It is the nearest suburb to town. Literally 10 minutes or less to maitama, it has steady supply of electricity and very cheap accommodation. But don't expect to brag with it, because when you mention it, a lot of people will think you stay in a cheap location or even a slump in Abuja. But isn't true and shouldn't be your concern for now. There is a slump part and there is a regular part. Go for mpape. |

The author of this documentary is BEEVAN MAGONI and NOT David as the OP claimed. It hurts to give credit over a man's work to a total stranger. He risked his life and put in a lot of resources to produce this, why give the credit to a another? BEEVAN MAGONI even appeared in the video and mentioned his name. 2 Likes |

A question like this should be more of practical experience than theory. From experience, the presence of catalyst converter all other things being equal allow for optimum engine performance and as such, the car will stay within the designed fuel mpg. The absence of the CC lead to poor fuel combustion, else excess fuel will be burnt and sent out as smoke, if that happens, certainly more fuel is used than it is required or even designed to be used. Therefore, the presence of CC saves fuel. 1 Like |

It is too long for a jungle. Would be a better fit for live presentation. The beginning part is too dull too. For this to fly, engage someone immediately and sustain it fir not more then two minutes, but leave a stricking message.

Congratulations to you, but this your advice is a recipe to die poor, lonely and unhappy. You are right and that's why a number of academics are broke, lonely and sad. First, let me counter number 2. If you want to succeed in life and not just academics, contrary to what op posted, I will say keep a large circle of friends, connect with people, create relationship and be intentional about keeping choice relationship. DON'T BE A ISLAND. I can say authoritatively that relation has elevated men all over the world than credentials have. There are lot of folks with PH.D, but if there is a vacancy, the one who comes highly recommended may will be prefered to others. Let me add that relationship will give life to your credentials, without the right connections, especially in Nigeria, your credentials will abysmally under produce. At best, along with your credentials, build relationship. This relationship includes with family too. Don't pursue academics and neglect your family, you will wake up a lonely and loveless professor who didn't use his knowledge to achieve the best life has to offer. Going to no 5, don't avoid spending money, it's a sad and foolish way to live. Of course, you have to spend within your income, but avoiding spending money as if spending money is a bad thing to do is a very backward way to live life. Money was meant to be spent in order to meet needs, how will you meet this needs without spending money. Spend money by helping someone, buy your friends dinner, take your friends out, someone's school fees, send money to struggling collegue, that way you open doors for more to come and you derive the satisfaction of being useful to another. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

This story is not only fake, it is also unintelligent. Assuming, though not conceding that it is true, for what offence was your wife arrested and handcuffed? For refusing to leave the husband's house? For your information, in Nigeria, you can't end a marriage or obtain divorce by the g of court papers. That ignorance has been popularised by nollywood who copy Hollywood senselessly. So in summary, your story is a lie. The law is operational in Nigeria, I am a lawyer and I read this with a pinch of salt. |

This is very manipulative, wicked, unhealthy and divisive. Why on earth would you want to do that, I mean play politics in your home? Are you in competition with your wife? Aren't you two supposed to be one? This unhealthy rivalry is what destroys homes. The proper way to train your kids is to make them understand and regard you as a COUPLE that you are, NOT COMPETITORS. Children should know that no matter who is at the shop to pay for their necessaries, mummy and Daddy put the money together and did it. That message and mentality of the t provision will help them even into their own homes. Even when anyone is buying, he it she should not fail to say "we", after all, family income when properly managed will be distributed to solve all matters and one cannot really pinpoint whose money is being used for what. 17 Likes |

MedicH:Dissolution of traditional (customary) marriage differes from custom to cutom. Generally, such Such marriage can be dissolved at the customary court. Also, the return of bride price, the throwing of the woman's things outside and the oral pronunciation of divorce before family or witnesses could all qualify as divorce or dissolution of customary marriage, subject to the tradition in which they were married. Talking about consulate, traditional or customary marriage is unrecognised in most countries outside Nigeria, since that is not a form of marriage known to their law. So if you have need to prove your marriage at the consulate, you will have to do statutory marriage and obtain a certificate. Customary or traditional marriage is however very legal and recognised by our laws. The main differencces are 1. The husband can marry more than one wife if it is a customary marriage, whereas it is illegal for him to take a second wife in a statutory marriage. 2. If he dies without a will in a customary marriage, his property will be shared according to tradition. If it were statutory marriage, the law prescribes an order of entitlement to his estate; starting from the spouse to children and so on. 3. The high court is where you go to dissolve or seek divorce in a statutory marriage, whereas the customary court has jurisdiction on issues of customary marriage. 1 Like 1 Share |

THIS IS SAD. At a time where our democracy like most civilized ones should be hearing towards decentralization of power and promotion of checks and balances, our legislators for selfish and stupid reasons are making laws to promote centralization of powers and elimination of checks. A simple analysis will show that the IG by this new law is made too powerful. He recruits, fires, gives orders and controls the entire powers of the Nigeria police. Why on Earth didn't they give recruitment powers to Police service commission, powers of suspension to IG and dismissal to PSC. That will check the powers of the IG and the overzealousness of police officers. 1 Like |

I will advice you to learn the need of using professionals in every field you embark on. I am a lawyer and there are others lawyers too who can get all these sorted out for you with ease. It is what we were trained on and what we do everyday. On the difference between 1,000,000 share capital and more share capital. Please note that share capital represents the money's worth of your company divided into units known as shares. A company with 1,000,000 share capital is therefore a smaller company to the one with 2,000,000 share capital. In practice, the monetary size of the contract you can bid for or will be granted may be determined by your company's share capital. No establishment will give a company a contract which sum is greater than the total worth of the company. So a small company of 1,000,000 will most likely not be granted a contract or a loan of 10,000,000,000 naira. You can dm me for further explanation. Check my profile. 1 Like |

Can you share your experience here? I am about going into the business. Would you advice I purchase Corolla 2009 or should I rather buy the 2003-2008. |

My brother, be it known to you that medical results sometimes prove itself wrong. Doctors had dismissed people as having few days to live ,yet they went on and lived for years. So, you may just be on of those cases. Secondly, I will not telling her now, iv will ruin the good reason for which you didn't tell her earlier and even create trust issues and may even ruin the relationship, supposing that it's your child after all. Keeping quite and going ahead to marry a supposedly cheating spouse with another's child to show for it is too much to live with for a lifetime. You will burst out someday. Especially if you eventually get treated. MY ADVICE: Don't rush the marriage, a broken engagement is better than a broken marriage. Wait until the birth of the child, secretly do the DNA test, if the child is yours, congrats and go in with the marriage. If the child isn't, come out with the test result and upon that, break the engagement and send her to her secret lover. Take your time thereafter, treat yourself and search for a new bride 1 Like |

I am strongly against you telling your Dad. That's inviting a third party into you sister's marriage. I strongly urge you to report the matter to your sister. She deserves to know, you owe her the truth of what the husband has done, perhaps she can correct him in her own way and still save her marriage without the public ridicule that may follow if you tell your father. Moreover, keep it a secret between you and your sister, if the truth must go out, let your sister do it. But all the same, that man needs psychological, mental and spiritual cleansing. And my last word is, don't destroy your own life, trying to save another. Stay away from that man.you could get raped. 3 Likes |

[quote author=TriliOne post=86173555]The incident happened on the 4th January which was on a Saturday, the house officer was said to be using the digital sphygmomanometer which belonged to the A.C. N.O in question to check himself. The A.C.N.O however asked him to stop using the sphyg as it belonged to her because he had a previous history of assault against her which she didn’t report. He ignored her & continued using it. This surprising disobedience and force for use of her personal item prompted her to disconnect the cuff on his arm from the machine and carried it (the machine) waiting so he can give her the cuff, however the describable aggressive House Officer unexpectedly, removed the cuff and used it to flog the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer on her neck up to her cheek, enough that she sustained injury on her neck. The doctor in his aggressive suit also attempted to beat the second Nurse around who the scene tried to intervene upon sighting the scene of embarrassment. This happened at the A&E (Casualty) unit of the hospital on that fateful Saturday. When I spoke with the affected Chief, she said she has written to the MD and Head of Clinical Services (H.C.S) through the H.O.D of Nursing Services Department. The best the H.C.S could do was to ask the House Officer in training- Nnanna Njemanze to apologize to the Nurse. I also asked her about the issue of a previous assault on her by the same h.o. She told me that towards the end of December, 2019, Nnanna Njemanze came to catheterize a female patient at the Casualty but the patient refused the procedure, hence she encouraged him to document patient’s refusal but he told her in exactly ed sentence: “shut up! who are you to tell me what to do?”. When they came aside, she went ahead to talk to him personally on the importance of his documentation to help exonerate himself from any negative implication and went ahead to wash her hands in the sink. While she was doing so, he gave her a slap on her ear from behind which affected her left ear and eye. Everyone present were surprised and she merely spoke to him not to try it again as it was wrong. Only for him to take a step further barely 2 weeks from his first crime! If Nnanna Njemanze, a house officer could behave this way, it therefore means by the time he becomes a consultant, Nurses would have to run away from him and don’t forget, he may be in any hospital in any part of Nigeria for that matter. He didn’t even consider the age of the woman in question! Check how many years in service it would have taken her to climb to the level of an A.C.N.O (at least 12-13 years or more) definitely before Nnanna Njemanze entered the University to study Medicine. Most annoyingly was another House Officer I personally approached at F.M.C about this issue and he told me precisely “forget that matter, e don die, dem don kill am. Nothing dey happen”. Really?, could that be true? Simply because he’s a doctor, the MD a doctor, the HCS also a doctor? Is that the reason for the high level of clear injustice?? But if that Nurse had retaliated, they would have known that Civil Service rule applies and the Nurse would have been going from one disciplinary and committee to another until they terminate her job. Now, nobody has arisen to take strict action on this because he’s really not worth it. Such a person is a threat to other health workers, does not exhibit any knowledge of work place ethics and cannot relate healthily with other health workers. If you’re interested in this matter, you’re highly welcome to investigate this yourself. https://healthinfocorner.com/house-officer-assault-senior-nurse-in-fmc-owerri/ The problems in this country are multiple. One of which is that we have so much reluctance to seek legal redress, it gets annoying sometimes. Why on Earth has that woman not sued the irresponsible house officer. She has a remedy in tort, can claim damages and that same action constitutes an offence. Why hasn't he been sued, I keep asking. |

The laws of that country must be defective if the death is not a mere presumption. In Nigeria, a similar law provides that if for 7yrs, you are not seen or heard from by people who should naturally do so ,the law presumes you dead. Note that it is a presumption and where you convincingly prove otherwise, the presumption will be rebutted. It therefore means you will no more be presumed dead. 1 Like |
