They are puppets and the puppeteer is pulling their strings. It is all geared towards the power equation and not unconnected to the recent quit notice. It all seems like abstract brushstrokes on a piece of canvas until it comes together into one big, ugly picture. At that time it will be too late to erase n re-draw...

Guestlander: How on earth is the Igbo man supposed to abandon his traditional view and sense of self to see himself through the eyes of others? How does that even make sense to you? How about you stop and think and understand the Igbo man from his own perspective? The Igbo man will not change! All of his pride, economic aggression, loudness, diligence, beauty, self-confidence, zeal and desire to excel make him the unique person he is and the fact that others are uncomfortable with his nature does not make him any less excellent cos we all come with our imperfections! Self-introspection is one of the best gifts anyone give oneself. That is why psychology expects u to 'know thyself'. If u don't understand urself u will never know how to harness ur qualities and succeed. No one will understand u better than urself and u are the one that will tell ur story not others telling it for u because they will most likely it through their already poisoned view. It is difficult to get along with Igbos? It is also difficult to get along with lions because of their nature! It doesn't make them bad animals or any less excellent! The best is to understand each other and set necessary lawful boundaries to allow everyone grow n excel at their own pace! The Igbo man will not change and no, it is not your duty to set out what u expect him to act n behave. The sane way he accepts u when he comes on a sojourn is the same way u should accept him when you meet him provided no crime is committed. Where the above is impossible then the ultimate demand is on ground for a separate nation so he can be himself and project his identity without any unnecessary intervention from those who don't understand the simple need to live and let live. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Tenfour: What silly reason? If that so called reason actually holds any water why has he now been released unconditionally and not charged to court? Horlufemi: Horlufemi: You seem not to get my point. Does merely condemning hate speech change or solve the problem? Do you not realise that you need a sane and healthy environment to fully give and receive empathy, values, genuine love and so on? It doesn't just happen! The stage must be set for good living and that is what Biafra is about! Re-negotiate the existence of Nigeria along the lines of equity and justice or an outright split! In fact, the Igbos, having borne the brunt of the madness that is Nigeria are fed up and want out, that is why Biafra has never died despite the loss of the civil war. You must go beyond statements made, they were actually made to wake up dead consciences! |
![]() |
Horlufemi: And? Is that all? Rather than it that there is more to the whole madness than the mere hate-speech rhetoric, u conveniently fall back to the 'we are our own problem' stance? Will u at least not criticise and condemn those that have insisted on bucking the norm and provoking questions however the method employed? It is not as if people have not been writing papers and making speeches but what has come out of it? If you are unable to ask questions at least respect those who can even at the risk of their freedom, properties and lives because in the long run it is to the benefit of all. After all it is an open secret that a good number of you are poised to cash in on the opportunity s that once Biafra is formed the Oduduwa will also come into being, is that not so? 1 Like |

fulanmafia: Beyond the fanciful romance of the phrase 'hate speech'', it is a call to reflection and an understanding of what hate speeches are. Mind you that his reference to burning down the zoo is figurative ie to burn ut down with the truth! The problem is people pick off stuff here n there n knock them together as justification for wickedness. Now, if they are all hate speeches why is one being punished and not the other? Where are the Arewa youths that should have been arrested and subjected to same treatment as Nnamdi Kanu? Where is the policeman that posted on facebook that he'll kill 200 Southerners of Buhari dies? The Police is still investigating abi? It also means all the Hausas n fulanis, particularly the muslims subscribe to n ratufy all instances of hate speeches perpetrated by your people and even worse, there is no message to be gleaned from their dirty postulations other hate n the desire to kill. To crown it all, the North has put their wicked words into practice over n again as in d case of Bridget in Kano whose killers the court let loose without punishment courtesy of the AG. There's lots more! Which Igbo man has killed any person of any other tribe whether in Igboland or wherever they have settled? Why do u stop at your idea of hate speech from Nnamdi Kanu? What about the underlying causes and issues which have constantly been raised from the time of the civil war till date? A place that selectively applies its laws consistently is worse than a zoo and deserves to be razed down! |

Horlufemi: This is not paranoia, it is a call to reflection and an understanding of what hate speeches are. If they are all hate speeches why is one being punished and not the other? Where are the Arewa youths that should have been arrested and subjected to same treatment as Nnamdi Kanu? Where is the policeman that posted on facebook that he'll kill 200 Southerners of Buhari dies? The Police is still investigating abi? Nigeria has long existed like a lawless contraption or one with selective application of law. That is why it is justified to call it a zoo. Otherwise, how can police officers who should be professional in their dealings be seen taking happy pictures with a criminal like Evans? Now it is in the news that they even looted his house and stole hard currencies for themselves! How can political office holders blatantly divert and corner funds meant for public use and they go scot-free whilst one who steals food or petty cash is nearly bludgeoned to death or handed harsh prison sentences? How do u justify the wickedly unequal cut off marks for children in the South n the North and swallow the claim of their being educationally disadvantaged yet they occupy all sensitive and important positions of power n authority? Does it make sense that such disparities are still maintained till date rather than have the gaps gradually closed? How does a president who should serve as a rallying point for all regions decide to make it a point to punish his idea of 5% votes in a democracy? How can a country like Nigeria in this day n age still lack potable water yet it is not even an arid region? Why do u have a people that justify the forceful rape and marriage of underage girls? Aren't they pedophiles? Are all of these not indications of wild existence reminiscent of the wild animals in a zoo? People need to get the perspective of NK's comments; it is a wake-up call to see the madness and squalor we seem to have accepted! There is no gentle way to get the attention of the elite that have crippled this country so rather than just critique without more, his choice of words which I consider harsh but painfully true, understand the message behind it and act on it! 6 Likes |

Funny enough, all of these nasty utterances predate Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB but Nigerians with notoriously short memories will claim Igbos n IPOB started all d hate speeches therefore it is alright to threaten a tribe which still remains a part of Nigeria, an unfortunate situation really. For those eejits that myopically claim that since Igbos want Biafra, the quit notice by barbarians up North is the answer to that desire, when will you have sense and grow some brains n balls? In all incidents of separation of countries especially in d developed climes we seek to emulate, where have u seen such tactics that only breed blood and war? Why is it impossible to have a national discourse that places every card on the table including break-up? Who says there cannot be mature n peaceful relations between neighbours rather than the perpetual rancour and bad blood of one Nigeria? Mr VP has even decided that it is criminal to complain or demand separation so what is he doing to get to the root of the problems leading to the complaints, agitation and threats? The demand for a referendum and ultimate separation is not a battle cry, it is a right to self-determination enshrined in international conventions and even the domesticated African charter. Why then do y'all persist in mischievous justification of war n bloodshed? 4 Likes 1 Share |

Mike Odeholonta HATE SPEECHES? When they said "kare jini, biri jini" (meaning the dog and the baboon would bath in blood)", it was not hate speech. When they said "if power does not go to the north, we would make the country ungovernable", it was not hate speech. When they teach their children to call you "arne" (meaning pagan in Hausa), it was not hate speech. When they preach violence all over their mosque in the North, it was not hate speech. When they said " an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north-their kinsmen", it was north hate speech. When they said " Ku kasa, ku tsare, Ku raka. Duk Wanda ya saya a hanyan Ku, Ku raunana shi", (meaning in Hausa: cast, protect, and escort your votes, anyone standing on your way, injure him), it was not hate speech. When their hero Ahmadu Bello in the Parrot newspaper of 12th-october 1960 immediately after independence said: "The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grandfather Othman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We use the minorities in the north as willing tools and the south as conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us and never allow them to have control over their future", it was not hate speech. THEN WHEN IS IT HATE SPEECH? It is when Pastor Oyedepo tells us to defend yourself against assailants that kill us and burn our villages with no arrests made. It is when Apostle Johnson Suleiman tells us to defend ourselves when assailants mutilate and mame us, and also rape our women, with no condemnation from them or the government. It is when Pastor Chris Okafor tells us to stand up for our rights in the face of perceived injustice. It is when Chief Femi Fani Kayode, painstakingly writes excavating their inmost devilish plans, and daring to tell the truth about their insatiable quest for blood, and unquenchable desire for power at the expense of our lives, and exposing their plots from its roots. It is when we start realizing and speaking out in self defence, for the sake of ourselves, our children, and children's children. They want us to keep quite while their age long plans to exterminate us smoulder and fester. They want us to be cowards and remain in perpetual silence while they redesign our destiny. They want to continue in their shrewd and subtle approach to be barbaric while we are civilized. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH Start talking, speak out, say it as it is. Nigeria belongs to all of us. Nobody has monopoly of violence. SPEAK OUT AND ACT. Prepare for the worst and Defend yourself from people that considers us less human. "God has not not given us the spirit of fear". 3 Likes 2 Shares |

TRUTHTOPOWER: That proposal is dead on arrival cos Igbos do not even have equal representation with others at any level haveing only 5 states. Again, governance and politics in Nigeria is a poisoned chalice that infects everyone who so much as goes close to it, that is why IPOB distances itself from the Nigerian brand of politics to avoid dirty compromise and bloodshed. |

Okay, it is alright or at least 'more understandable' to make nasty inferences and pictures regarding the Igbo because they do not have a violent nature? So it is okay to justify wilful madness because some goats are quick to shed blood so rather than resist their madness u kowtow and look for less violent ones to insult? Well done! I like your reasoning....nonsense! wristbangle: |

vickylincon: The judiciary is guided by precedent. The only way to overturn an existing one is by reversal from a superior court which will rope Tinubu in again, or in the case of the Supreme Court, that it reverses itself. For as long as the position of the CCT on Tinubu remains the status quo, there is nothing anyone can do. Besides, Tinubu and Saraki's rulings are substantially different. While the CCT ruled that the statutory procedures for filing and charging a defendant were not complied with, Saraki's had a no case submission which the court upheld because the prosecution did not sufficiently tie the defendant to the offences. |

This is just meant to throw unnecessary speculation into the public and a nasty attempt to preempt the court whilst discrediting the CJN at the same time because the bloody APC laggards cannot function where u don't have some overbearing islamic and northern influence at play. They do stuff like this n get away with it because they know by the training and disposition of judges, they are not inclined to enter or engage public/political debates. Zombies will of course snap this up and run with it. Crazy country is gone to the dogs! 26 Likes 1 Share |
