Good morning everyone, I watched an interview on AIT a couple of weeks ago when the guest was complaining about nepotism and hijack of job slots (he is a Civil rights activist). He stated how his group petitioned the NASS on CBN's alleged illegal recruitments over time. When the letter was received by NASS, he was summoned to a meeting and was clearly told to his face that there's nothing they can do since their wards and relatives are also beneficiaries of the nepotistic and job racketeering acts of MDAs in Nigeria. The idea of escalating this issue is nice but not advisable in our clime as this will be another avenue for the Hawks to this matter. Also, note that the seeming delay of this process may be to our advantage as most of the gladiators are enmeshed in their political battles, so in my own opinion, the time is right for calls to start rolling in earnestly.

The take off of the two projects you just highlighted have nothing to do with the recruitment. Eraskon Nigeria Ltd is a private Lubes blending company owned by a Bayelsan, therefore, there is no basis for NCDMB to recruit and send to a private firm and this also applies to Duport.

Is it possible that the two investment agreements signed by NCDMB in the above report were meant to act as catalysts for this recruitment? Duport Misdtream Energy Park Project in Edo State, initially scheduled to be completed in December, 2021, is now rescheduled for commissioning in June 2022. Meanwhile, Eraskon Nigeria Limited recently performed groundbreaking ceremony for the Lubricant Blending Plant in Bayelsa State last month, with a completion date scheduled for December, 2022 (project timelines can be tricky, so we expect completion date to be further rescheduled for this one too).

So, unless these projects / investments are directly tied to this recruitment, it's a tad difficult to understand why a recruitment that kickstarted in July, 2020 cannot be wrapped up after almost two years. The last time I was involved in such a long recruitment process was the 2019 NNPC Recruitment for EH component. Those who participated know how it panned out...

Some of us are lucky to be gainfully employed while hoping for this recruitment to come to a conclusion, i shudder to think of what other applicants, who are solely banking on this recruitment for employment, are going through. May our expectations not be cut short!

Anyways, just to clear some doubts and ensure that our hope is rekindled, I witnessed a conversation (phone-in) between a hopeful and the ES in respect of the recruitment about 4 weeks ago. The caller pointedly asked the ES about the status of the recruitment and the ES assured him that they were waiting for some approvals and that when gotten, they will call those that scaled through on merit and that the process has not been cancelled. This report is just to prove to those of us who have doubted the legitimacy of the Oil and Gas Recruitment and the fact that NCDMB was not mentioned all along. By the way, I am commenting few meters from the Towers.

I once had a one on one rapport with a CEO of a Federal O&G Agency and he gave me a very confidential information regarding the recruitment which I took to our platform and posted. I even beat my chest in confidence and told hopefuls that if the information I gave to them didn’t come to as stated, I would cease to post on that platform again. That was my biggest mistake because it never came to until the CEO retired from service. My point is that these things happen especially in our country where professionalism is relegated for impunity and nepotism in cases like this. Lest I forget, even Leks4sure once stated that the recruitment had been cancelled, although I took it with a pinch of salt then. This is a poorly doctored document I must say. I have had the privilege of sending correspondences to NCDMB immediately after the commissioning of the Towers and I was advised by NCDMB to henceforth address all letters to their new Headquarters and this was sometime last year. To be honest, the address in that memo is even the least place for a correspondence of that magnitude from an Agency as powerful as FCC to be sent to when the former Headquarters building (Glass House Opolo) is still existing.

Not that I don't know the condition of service in DPR but I needed to compare it with the unknown NCDMB. About my connections and dates not manifesting, I must confess that I am the most pained although circumstances beyond our control caused the delay. I believe you are still hopeful though!

Let me confess that my confidence in all these was to the fact that I had been getting first hand information from Primary sources but circumstances have led us to our present predicament. Beautiful Ebony, I quoted a time frame just to show how confident I am about this whole process.
