403 error means you are not authorized to view the site. Since you said it's the first request it may be that the site automatically bans IP addresses from your country.

Tips on debugging:
- Try to scrap another site maybe google.com to
confirm your code actually works.
- Change your IP using a VPN and see if it works on
the site you want to scrap.
- If it does consider implementing proxy rotation
using proxy addresses for countries that are
allowed on that site.

I'm just practicing I don't really know much about proxy rotation but I guess it changes your ip but it gave me 403 on first request to the site. Thanks for your input.

We're on break for this week, so I will be using it to prepare for python which will be starting next week

With my knowledge on C, python ought to be simpler but not when ALX is involved.

We used gcc to compile C code while we will be using pystyle to compile python. I'm still in python as an interpreted language after which I will be reading on functions. I also intend to write with code samples for ability.

I have a lot of resources but will be using LinkedIn learning and Python Modular Pdf to study.

Hello Tracy, pycodestyle is similar to Betty. Its not used to compile python code. Its just used to check for pep8 style guide - which helps programmers write readable code.

I will be taking the 100 days challenge for C language to be able to myself, this means I will be studying C language from start. So far I have installed Ubuntu on the Virtual box.

I also plan to host a google meet on C for the August cohort but it depends on them, it has been a hectic week. I wish I could take a leave for two days, away from alx and coding, just anime and sleep.

The easiest way is picking a code and understanding it, I mean the source code. I read alot of React / Angular and Svelte source code, and when you see what they do, you start to have more understanding.

e.g React Devtool is not that complex to build, but I thought it was until i read the source code. Currently I forked the Svelte Dev tool because I want to fix something.

The more you read their code, the more you get their line of thought.

Simply start with personal development. Use YouTube and pdf but truth is you will learn beginner stuffs very well on your own. To master the craft to an understandable level you need to
1.work with the skill
2. Learn/know with someone who is already good at it.
3. Get employed in a cloud computing company.
4. Research and keep researching

The best bet you have after beginner level is 2, 1 and then 3.

If you can find someone(physical or remote) already into it just to advise you then you would go faster and when you work with it you get confident over time and the technical material from personal research make you professional
