The sms sent to me was not customized. It came from what seems to be an airtel number. I then later received emails too. It didn't have the country code though or the sender does not replies info. So I am equally suspicious but cannot rule it out either.

Local man was hit hard to say the least. Having been job hunting, for six years now and witnessing such terrible success rate consistently, I was left in tatters yesterday. Thinking of my debts, my aspirations, my humble requests to God and how everything appears to once again have failed almost made me give up.

I have been to countless interviews but somehow something militates against me at these final stages. At a time my hand accident stopped me from proceeding. Last year alone, I had 3 opportunities come my way, I aced all stages up to the interviews in all three but still didn't make it in any.

Currently, applying for GT roles will not work without some white lies because of my age. Looking at my mates, they are all hooked up somewhere better. Some have even lost respect for me. grin. Virtually everyone even children who knew nothing abt my NNPC dream in the school I teach in, spoke positively into my life concerning a better job. But God said wait yet again.

I had lived in denial since yesterday evening but I think I have finally moved on.

I want to congratulate all the successful applicants and pray for a smooth career for you all. I also want to urge all the unsuccessful applicants to take heart something worth it is coming for us all in no distant time. Keep doing what God has blessed you with for now and one day you all will live the dream.

Finally, I wish all EH applicants their heart desires, It will end in praise for the Successful ones just as in the case of the GT'S.

To those who may be able to help a Chemical Engineer, your help will be highly appreciated.

For now, I am off to teach while, working, walking and waiting on God.

Bro! People have the right to complain.....
Gratitude is important but you do not flog a child and tell him/expect him not to cry. APL is paramount though. Let God's will be done ......

Some Nigerians are greedy sha, Nobody forced you to go for the interview.

You carry body jejely go Towers. NNPC decides to be nice and give you a bit of change in order to reduce the cost of transport & accomadation way you spent.

But I see some complaining they where not paid enough.

Well rejoice, NNPC has heard ur plight & will use d next few weeks to recalculate & give you balance. metchew
I agree with you but some transport reimbursement(s) are simply done in error. Personally, my CBT centre was Umuahia and I was paid 12k while those who had their CBT in Enugu were paid 14k. From Enugu, especially Nssuka, to Umuahia will not be less than 3 hours. So you tell me.

There is an official route mapped out by the ministry of transportation and charged at some Naira per kilometre used to measure distance.

This is the standard practice in the world and some transportation companies here in Nigeria adhere to it.

Including many organisations that are into payment of participants for seminars and co.

Gombe may look close to Abuja but the distance maybe very close to a state like Lagos because of their different routes.

Some routes may be straight without too many curves and bends while others may not.
Not even 16k. 12k!??.... I was annoyed, honestly

Meanwhile, I think Abia folks are receiving less than they deserve if the TF is by distance of CBT location from Abj.
How do Anambra and Imo get 18k while Abia gets 12k.
Apparently, NNPC got this one wrong.

PS: my CBT centre wasn't in Abia but I just had to notice that.

I was just thinking of the same thing. The man that verified my credentials removed my professional certificates. So I just wonder.
chidiebereuzoma:

I wouldn't blame the guy, because the man sighting my documents removed the photocopies of my professional certificates.
I'm a GT... ICT
Please did anyone experienced something like that. I was actually surprised by that action. I thought that it was because I'm a GT. Please did any GT attach photocopies of professional certificates?
