I was quite categorical by stating Microsoft East and Southern Africa Headquarters.

Visit this page and maybe you will learn. https://www.facebook.com/MicrosoftESA/about/?ref=page_internal

Do you know what is a headquarter?

Microsoft East Africa was established in 1996 and later extended its operations to the Southern Africa region (with the exception of South Africa). With its head office located in Nairobi, Kenya, Microsoft East and Southern Africa is currently one of the fastest-growing Microsoft sales location in the world, the office oversees activities in the expanded ‘East and Southern Africa’ region – namely Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

How is Nigeria a giant with a per capita of less than 2500 USD?
68816419:

My question is, how can a tiny country with a smaller population, economy, Manufacturing, Tourism, Agriculture and even fewer on going projects than both Nigeria and SA has far more external debts than these giant countries?,And how comes your external debt keeps rising on a monthly basis, what are the average Kenyans doing about it?.

Devki Steel Mills is coming up nicely in Kwale County Kenya.

It will be the second largest raw steel mill in Africa outside South Africa.

It will consume about 55MW of power when in operation. Devki plans to generate it's own power.

How does your statement contradict mine? It is a known fact that almost a half of our debt is domestic!

Stop deceiving your self , just accept that Kenyatta is a criminal.
"Kenya External Debt reached 34.7 USD bn in Dec 2020, compared with 34.3 USD bn in the previous month. Kenya External Debt: USD mn data is updated monthly, available from Sep 1999 to Dec 2020. The data reached an all-time high of 34.7 USD bn in Dec 2020 and a record low of 4.2 USD bn in Sep 1999."

And even if Kenyan banks were to lend to the government, the effect won't be as devastating. Kenya has the largest cooperative movements in Africa if I'm not wrong holding about six billion dollars in deposits. These are just SACCOS. About 14 million Kenyans are of this SACCOS.

Our financial sector is a bit sophisticated.

''SACCOs are popular in African countries (Kenya, Uganda, South Africa and Malawi, to name a few). SACCOs have 14 million3 in Kenya, with Ksh 600 billion in deposits and Ksh 800 billion in assets. In Uganda, over 520,000 adults in 2013 were SACCO . As per AMFIU’s (Association of Microfinance Institutions of Uganda)2016 report4, there were 2,000 MFIs and SACCOs in Uganda.''

Because we are credit worthy; and we do not want to crowd out private lending like nigeria ; there has to be balance; otherwise you'll get nigeria mess; where banks are loaning to gov; not to Nigerians.

This is why gov goes for euro bond; so banks can lend to anybody; in kenya banks HAWK loan on the streets.

Your soverign wealth is very little..stop lying.

Our reserves are more than adequate. They can cover at least 4-5 months of our import which is the recommended timeframe. Revenues generated have a larger say when it comes to payment of debt.
68816419:

Nigeria is sovereign is not 10m , the funds was $1b and an additional $0.5billion has been contributed to date by the current istration.
RVP: but how comes a tiny country like Kenya is having more external debt than both Nigeria and SouthAfrica, with tiny external reserve, small economy and very little FDI?
Jonraid(m): 12:21pm On Mar 02, 2021
Almost a half of our debt is domestic.
68816419:

That amount is less than 5% of our external reserve we could decide to pay our debt through that, but can Kenya do the same?, Do u even know that most of Nigeria's debts are internally gotten?
Imagine Kenya having more external debt than both Nigeria and SouthAfrica, with tiny external reserve, small economy and very little FDI?
Kenya is indeed a failed State

You had a drop in prices, meaning that your market is bad for business

And Ghana is highly covered by the report

Ghana is not a key country for Knight Frank. Everyone including Congo gets a mention but that does not mean much!
Just30:
Not true

It listed the Best performers and the worst performers and kenya happens to be one of them

You mean you didn't see Ghana in this same report?

Compared to the other markets,Kenya faired better. That's the message. And yes,if the Kenyan market did well in holding down its prices then that means that our ROI is actually good. Ghana is not even covered by Knight Frank. You should be the last one to talk.

A drop in prices will not give you a good return on investment

Which tells you of good ROI when one invests in Nairobi. In other markets the slumps in prices might have been steep.
