I don't believe that data about Nigerian women who got married in 2010 because we have no central data collection system in Nigeria. Please tell me, who collects data about all the weddings held in cele church, registry, all the mushrooms churches, mosques and traditional weddings held in Nigeria? Where can i go to get that information?

In Lagos alone, every blessed weekend all the event centres are busy, every hall is hosting one wedding or the other, so who are all these women? are they south african?

I can agree that there are loads of single women out there looking to get hitched this year, true, Naija men are not enough to go round and besides they want to marry from other races and countries so what can we do?

A year after a Nigerian man allegedly tried to blow up a Detroit-bound airliner, officials say they have made it easier to add individuals’ names to a terrorist watch list and improved the government’s ability to thwart an attack in the United States.
The failure to put Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab on the watch list last year renewed concerns that the government’s system to screen out potential terrorists was flawed. Even though Abdulmutallab’s father had told U.S. officials of his son’s radicalization in Yemen, government rules dictated that a single-source tip was insufficient to include a person’s name on the watch list.

Since then, senior counterterrorism officials say they have altered their criteria so that a single-source tip, as long as it is deemed credible, can lead to a name being placed on the watch list.

Most civilisation that existed in those regions were pretty much primitive and that was why when the europeans came they quickly crushed them and subdue them. Its quite unfortunate but its the hard truth, the europeans came with their guns, cannon, war ship and other artillery while the primitive africans fought them with their bows and arrows!! how the hell did we think we could defeat them, and yet some people still talk about great african civilisation.

I am quite impressed with your knowledge and background of the subject matter, you have really done your homework before coming on this thread. To say the least the average african lacks what is referred to as "auto-transcendence" that is to say to ability to move from one stage of civilisation to the next, we simply remained in our primitive state for thousands of years untill the Europeans(a more advanced civilisation) came and colonised us,teaching us pretty much everything we know today.

Another reason why I feel africa is so underdeveloped is because we ascribe so much to the spiritual,the average african is very spiritual and this prevents the development of free thought and expression, people who made remarks that was contrary to the status quo were killed or ostracised, but in other civilisation except african freedom of thought thrived and that in the sense broaden their civilsation.

we should learn to confront the truth which in most cases in very bitter, africa is simply a continent that has refused to develop.

I wonder what they have to say about haiti, lets for one second assume slavery and colonisation really affected africa's advancement and development, but how would you explain Haiti? A country of over 200 years(25 years younger to the U.S), despite its huge mineral resources they are still unable to develop, haba!!!!!, after 200 years. Something isnt just right!!!

I think brownteeth, is indeed making alot of sense, and I dont think is about inferiority complex.From Africa to the carribean the story is the same;corruption,poor leadership,nepotism,tribalism and so on, but we are quick to blame the white man for our woes,as if africa was the only continent to be colonised.The problems currently plaguing the black race as previously highlighted is evident in other races but they have been able to still experience some form of technological advancement.

Imagine Haiti which gained independence in 1804, after over 200 years is still a poor country, infact haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. What is indeed wrong with the black race?
