I believe that turning the AC off gives the airplane more power for take off, especially if the plane has a faulty Auxiliary Power Unit or for some other reason It is out of use. The main power for Air-conditioning is drawn off a bleed compressor line that is usually only active during flight. What these airlines should do is to minimize the amount of time taken to board and depart If they are looking to save energy or fuel by not running an APU for the air conditioning on the ground. When the plane takes off and you're left with no air conditioning, that is when you should really begin to worry. Albeit, it may be too late then. However, for some strange reason, this whole hot plane during boarding is saldy common practice for many Nigerian airlines. 66 Likes 4 Shares |

The Army must release visual confirmation of the crash site if they want to truly discredit the boko haram video. But then again, this istration has a penchant for lies and propaganda. 102 Likes 3 Shares |

nograv: Sure planes can fall out of the sky due to a gazillion reasons. But this coincidence you're insinuating is way too convenient. 2 Likes |

nograv: Both scenarios are very probable. But in light of the currently available evidence and facts now, it's much easier to believe that BH shot that plane down than it suffered a mechanical failure. Real time communication? Aren't jets in constant communication with their base? Do they just hover blind? 1 Like |

nograv: So, let me get something straight, Bokoharam films every jet that flies over them for entertainment? Then this jet that 'suddenly' lost Comms with the tower happened to go down without a single mayday call just as Bokoharam were shooting a season film in the forest? |

nograv: Highly unlikely. The jet must have reported to the comm tower if they had engine issues. It suddenly lost and these terrorists have video 'evidence' of when they actually downed the ill-fated jet. It's almost like they were actually prepared to shoot it down. 1 Like |

hermesprogidy:No it isn't. It's like saying, you can buy a car, but just don't drive it in any official road. You still have bushes, forests, off-trails, villages and the desert to drive it in. 6 Likes |

Crypto was never banned. Most Nigerians cannot read, assimilate what they've read and understand it. People just follow the popular narrative if it suits their agenda, it usually does. Nothing has changed. All CBN said was don't transact crypto through the formal banking sector. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

KingAzubuike: You made sense....but only to a small extent. True, despite having achieved a great feat, she is the anomaly and not the norm. Our education system is nothing to write home about, and for every genius there are a thousand academically poor students. However, don't rain on the girl's parade by alleging that other competitors didn't come with their best contestants. She won because she was the best of the rest. Congratulations to her for doing Nigeria proud. 10 Likes |

The other day, I realised that there's a 50 naira tax on electronic transactions. Something called "electronic transfer levy." The amount of ridiculous taxes that the ordinary Nigerians has to put up with is killing. This is in an oil rich country where millions are syphoned daily The worst part is that these taxed money don't end up contributing to anything meaningful. Are we taxing people to keep running our ludicrously expensive government? So, politicians can just loot uncontrollably and then begin to tax the masses once their source of stealing ceases to flow? Eventually, the citizens bear the brunt of their own docility and refusal to have a say in the affairs of their own country. Nigerians, wake up!!! 10 Likes 4 Shares |
