DXYY: But does the 5% daily drawdown reset for losses? E.g I make a loss of $200 on a $5000 leaving me with a balance of $5000, does it reset my daily drawdown loss to 5% of $5000 or it remains the same the next day? |

mrvitalis: We may not have had the one recommended by the wilinks report of 1959 but we had a regional system that was very similar and I'm very sure that even if we followed the report it still wouldn't have made any difference best case scenario is that regions with more power than the central would have since left and formed their own individual countries. |

mrvitalis: If the regional system left by the British was soo perfect it wouldn't have fallen apart shortly after they left, tell me one nation or country that is thriving and successful with over 250 ethnic groups within it? |
![]() |
If we really want to be honest with ourselves there's no way 250+ ethnic groups with diverse political, social and cultural interests all lumped in one country can build a successful society, it's against every law of human nature and common sense. But greed and a general lack of critical reasoning is the bane of alot of Nigerians. I hardly comment on nairaland but reading this I just had to, in a few days Nigerians would go to the polls to try the same thing that has been giving them the same results..... It's really depressing.

Frigga13: You want them to talk about restructuring but on the other hand you're screaming North2023. |

saintruky: It's hypothetical question. And I from the little I know restructuring would need to start in the Senate. |

If given the option to choose between your candidate becoming president or a restructured Nigeria that recognizes all ethnic groups equally and reduces the power of the president while increasing the power of the state and local government? Which would you pick.... Restructuring or your candidate in Aso Rock? |

Like seriously speaking I've been following nigerian political spaces and conversations on Twitter and nairaland and omo, it's a jungle. The tribal, religious and partisan gbasgbos can be really intense. Sometimes I see Nigerian masses(especially those who argue and fight for politicians) as dogs and the politician they being the owner of the dog, each dog is fighting for his owner while the owners sit and watch. It's like this one twitter and nairaland, everyone is trying to push the agenda of their masters especially Twitter influencers. From all this all I see is the hypocritical and self serving nature of the average Nigerian. Most of the folks pushing their respective politician aren't really doing it because they think that such person can actually change Nigeria for the better but the fact that it appeals to their personal, tribal or religious interest and not the general interest of the country. Forget the fake outrage and performative activism, most really don't care about what happened in owo, what's happening in the north or the south east it's all about strategic positioning and clout that's why they're quick to move on from any disaster. These are just my thoughts I felt to share on nairaland. |
