The idea is to beat time by started it now so you'll just finish up when you enter in order to start working asap when you land a full time role.

Your residence permit will be tied to your city where you're going. So just choose any major city you wanna reside in like Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Ausburg etc. then follow the process.
