IMO, and based on what I know, there is nothing wrong with your names nor the arrangements. Every organization have the required format they want applicants name to reflect in their databases for istrative convenience. Ircc will not ask WAEC to change its format from ABC to BCA (assuming A is your surname). What is important is all 3 reflects in the right spellings and what is surname, middle and first name remains wherever they appear.

If you still are not satisfied with the above, please go and get a court affidavit to help you sleep well at night.

By the way, I have similar experience like yours and I didnt do anything cos I don't see it as a problem and my call to ircc yesterday on my status has not thrown up any queries or reviews required on any section thus far. My only affidavit submitted, which was even done since 2008, was for WAEC showing dob as 27/7 instead of 25/7, year was correct.

For those of us post-ITA especially with 440s and 450s CRS scores , please carefully package your documents with care and accuracy. Take your time. ALL necessary documents. You cannot afford a rejection/refusal, ITA is now getting too expensive these days. For those of us post-AOR, please keep checking and re-checking your application. You notice any major mistake, raise a CSE asap. It costs nothing. Better to get longer waiting time, than refusal.

May PPR fall on us all eventually.

this got me looking at my application again and document submitted .
now I realised my name where not in sequence in all the documents .IE

port :surname.. Ayo first name.. joy middle name ... Jane(Ayo joy Jane)

but some of my other document like ,

reference letter started with first name , middle name ,then surname (Joy Jane Ayo)

ECA got it all mixed ,surname middle name and last name (Ayo Jane joy) and ,2nd ECA only 2 names
( Ayo joy )

no wrong spelling only just not properly arranged and omission of middle name in one of my ECA . should I worry ?

i am using 100% gift deed, i am torn between fixing the amount and the fixed deposit certificate plus gift deed which is quite easier as i can do that within 3days.
or buying treasury bills and ing the cert as well as gift deed. however, i learnt tbills takes about every 2weeks to conduct a bid and sometimes its not always successful and one will have to wait for the next bid. Am running out time

please what advice will ya'll give?

can i just bank statement plus gift deed as POF , then later raise CSE for treasury bills.
or should i stick with fixed deposit , even though treasury bills are safer and yields more interest.

I'm currently preparing for my Writing module and even though I know you're busy to a hilt, would you be kind enough to review my essays for me? I'll really appreciate it. I'm targeting a 7.5 score and I need all the help I can get.

Note though that I'm writing the paper based test, so I'll have to send you photographs of my hand written essays and letters. I know its a little clumsy but I'm trying to practice under exam conditions and I'm not really used to writing with a pen because I type mostly on a computer device. I hope you understand. I'll make my handwriting as legible as possible.

i did mail them three days after school sent my transcript , they replied that they are yet to open mails for the said date and when they do, my status will change , 7days later, i mailed them again. that was last week friday. they replied that they are still in the process of opening mails for the said date that my transcript was sent and that they are opening mails for 15 of nov. mine was 28 of nov.. although they have seen the mail sent by my institution,they will me if they need more information.

Thanks much for your response , at first , i did send them a mail to ask why my dashboard has not changed from submitted to received.
They replied that they are yet to open mails for the said date. that and as soon as they do, my profile will be updated.

After a few days, i sent them another mail to confirm why my dashboard still has not been updated.And if they have received my documents from my institution.
they replied that they are opening mails for 15 of nov. and that they have not gotten to my own date and that they have received my documents and i should not do anything.if they need more information they will me.

Nigeria schools can frustrate people.

I paid for ECA with ICES on the September 14th, meanwhile I have paid for my school to send my B.Sc transcript to ICES since August 21.

After frustrating my life, I paid for email and courier (I don't want any long story)the school finally sent the transcript on October 24th and ICES received the email immediately and then received the courier on November 7.

The 10 weeks waiting IS KILLING ME NOW, seeing that my school wasted a lot of time sending ordinary transcript. I am currently at 6weeks since email sent and 5 weeks since they received the courier and I'm depressed already.

please have any of you received your ECA from ICES recently? and how long did it take from when the received your transcript from your school? Help a sister her.

On this IELTS issue...my two cents.

1. Stick to a FEW practice materials! The number of materials for IELTS that we see on a daily on this thread can be overwhelming. Try out only a few and stick to the one that resonates with you. Don't use ieltsliz, Jay, Cambridge, ieltsadvantage, road2ielts etc at the same time (some of these peope don't agree on the same approach and reading all can get really confusing). If you try one and it sits well with you, ditch others. Focus on that one and be a master of it. I almost got overwhelmed at some point, because l wanted to open every link or try every material l saw here. But l had to give myself brain oh.

2. Practise everyday. No excuses. Create the time. Even at work, you can use your lunch break to practise. Instead of listening to music or radio on your way to work, listen to your ed tips on writing, speaking, reading, listening. When walking down the streets, have an earpiece on (l hate this, but we can make sacrifices for one month abi?) and keep LISTENING. At weekends, practice speaking with your wife/husband, friend, son/daughter etc. Write out questions and tell them to ask you (under exam conditions). I finished a WHOLE 30 leaves notebook for listening practice (yeah l work an 8 to 5 and live on the mainland with my office on the island -, no excuses!). Always check your wrong answers and replay those portions and find out what you didn't hear properly. I used youtube for listening/speaking/reading.

3. There's this ielts expert too, one Ryan (cannot his surname) that l think is underrated. I used his tips for writing. He talks about 15 sentences max for writing. 3 paragraphs with 4 sentences and the closing paragraph should have 3 sentences. This keeps you in check and you already know what to write before the exam, all you will be waiting for on the ielts day is the topic given! I can share his materials if you drop your email address.
For writing, write letter and essays! Don't read what someone else wrote. Write yours too. Some people practise writing by reading another's work -WRONG! write yours too and compare. Minimum letters to write on different topics - 10. Minimum essays - 20. Revise your work and look for better ways to reconstruct your sentences. I suggest you write with pencil on your exam day so you can erase if need be.

4. For reading - use youtube. It also has a timer, so practice using the time and don't stop the timer or pause the video. The easiest comprehension in reading are the first two. Spend less time there. Say 5 mins tops for each. You do not need to UNDERSTAND nada. Just look at the instructions (very important), then the questions, then scroll through the ages for the answers. You need all your time for the last two ages. They are more technical.

5. For speaking - Be confident, relaxed and know your basic english and introduction (see ieltsliz). See this as an interview. We all attend interviews don't we? I got a list of 42 likely cue cards from ieltsliz blog (l think she said they change it every 3 months but she always update the cue card questions) and l practiced the 42 different topics and l always set my two minutes timer with my phone. You can be in the BRT or your car and practice this one, or when walking down the street or whilst doing chores at home, or lying down in your bed doing nothing (l did this. Some days, people will think you are going crazy because you are talking to yourself, but...who no go no know). One of the 42 questions l practiced was my cue card during my speaking test -something on my pet animal (l was wondering "madam why me? Animal kwa?" but because l had practised earlier, the examiner had to cut me off when it was two minutes. I just went on and on.

4. Lastly and certainly not the least...the place of PRAYER. I'm catholic, so when l saw the prayer to St. Joseph of Cupertino here, l made a mental note to say it. I started saying it every day from September till i wrote my exam on the 1st of November. I even added a 9 days St. Joseph of Cupertino novena with prayer and fasting which ended on the 31st of October (l'm that extra oh. I left no chances). I asked my family to add me in their prayers too. So, pray, pray and pray. Whatever works for you. Someone dropped one St. prayer here on financial assistance for POF, best believe l'll look for that prayer and do it too!

5. People have done it, you too can. Don't be discouraged if you have tried more than once. We don't give up on this thread oh. Being here has taught me a different level of selflessness and never say never spirit. People you don't even know are quick to help and empathise and l am still in awe of you guys.

House, please, I need info about ECA from those that have used ICES recently . sent in my application Same day school emailed my credential with my client identification number to them. Its been a week now and my dashboard still reads application submitted which ought to have changed to received. I mailed them four days after school sent my credential and they replied that they are in the process of checking mails for the said date. But its been a week now and status still have not changed. Pls is this normal or should I them again or have my school forward another email to them ?

Good morning house, i would like to commend you all for the great job you all are doing here . i am new here and i have been a lot of reading, this is my first post.
me and hubby have started our evaluation, transcripts are yet to be sent to WES though we have paid and gotten our reference numbers before the waec issue . i heard waec requests o level certificate for even if you made order before 3 of August.
my challenge now is that my age has issues . my waec carries a different age from my port though my uni does not put age in transcripts, but waec does.
1. can i ask my school to cancel the request and send my transcript to ICES instead,
2 can i call WES and cancel my application and still get a refund of my money .
am currently running a diploma program for two or more certificate . which i hope to evaluate soon.
please your input will go a long way.
