There are natural laws in play irrespective of your belief and acknowledgment of God's existence. Such an example would be the law of sowing and reaping, which works for the believer and unbeliever ; the good and the bad ; the righteous and the wicked . But what truly separates the believer from the unbeliever is his trust in Jesus to grant him eternal life in the hereafter. For we all will die one day, and will certainly face a greater judgement of our deeds in this life . |

MaxInDHouse:Oga, you are quoting verses that do not give you the big picture. Jesus said many things about Himself...and He even went further to ask people who they thought He was. So quoting a handful of verses will never change the FACT that Jesus is God incarnate, who died , rose again and is sitted at the right-hand of God the Father. Lastly , why didnt you read Titus 2: 13 ...or are you scared of that place because it does not sit well with Charles Russell Taze JW doctrine? ![]() 1 Like |

MaxInDHouse:You are twisting words I never said To answer you, see what Paul the apostle writes who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Phillipians 2:6-11 This very verse says that Jesus is equal to God(the Father ). ![]() 2 Likes |

Jashub:Secondly, Jesus praying to His Father does not make him any less equal to God . After all, the same bible in scripture (Heb1:8.) ,says : But about the Son He says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom From this verse , even the Father acknowledges and calls the Son God. ![]() 2 Likes |

MaxInDHouse:You confuse the verse. In the verse you quoted, Jesus is specifically referring to oneness in thought , loved , purpose and belief...which is why if you go on further in verse 23 He said : ..I in them , and you in Me, that they may be made perfect in one(love) , and that the world may know know you sent Me(purpose) Jesus in this age is not taking about humans being equal with Him, but that they , believing on Him , will the same purpose that Godhead (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit)have. ![]() 1 Like |

MaxInDHouse:You still do not get it. Jesus told His listeners that I and My Father are one (John10:30)...which does not translate to agreement; it translates to I-am -equal -to -God. Which is why they wanted to stone Him... You don't get stoned for agreeing with God. You get stoned for claiming to be God(aka blasphemy) ![]() 2 Likes |

MaxInDHouse: For David did not ascend to the heavens, but he himself says, ‘Jehovah said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.”’ Act 2:34-35 This scripture is referring to a report of what David saw; he was an observer. Secondly, Jesus blatantly told his listeners that "I and my Father(God Almighty) are one"(John10:30 ). And to them , this was blasphemous...and they knew what He was saying, which is why they picked up stones to throw at Him. Even Philip at one time challenged Jesus to show Him the Father , and Jesus blankly told him(Philip) , that anyone who has seen me has seen the Father (John14:9). So anyone disagreeing is just disagreeing with what Jesus said about Himself ![]() 2 Likes 1 Share |

MaxInDHouse:Oga, the Hebrews used a particular context to specify what kind of lord they were referring. Which is why the translators used capitals in referring to Adonai(Lord) To answer your second question: YHWH...is both of them. That scripture is referring to the God the Father, saying to Jesus ( God the son ) to sit at his right hand . Jesus is God and so is the Father , and the Holy Spirit. All three are one God (John10:30) 3 Likes 1 Share |

MaxInDHouse:This is the Hebrew translation of Isaiah 6:1: בשנת מות המלך עזיהו ואראה את אדני ישב על כסא רם ונשא ושוליו מלאים את ההיכל׃ The word used us Adonai In Hebrew, "Adonai" (אֲדֹנָי) means "my Lord" and is a title used to refer to God. It is often used in Jewish prayer and scripture as a way to address God with reverence. The term is derived from the root word "adon," which means "lord" or "master." In religious contexts, "Adonai" is used as a substitute for the Tetragrammaton (YHWH), the sacred name of God in Judaism, particularly when reading scripture aloud. So , are trying to tell us that Adonai (a sacred name) was used by Jewish writers carelessly? ![]() 2 Likes |
