I know some myopic guys will soon start celebrating how great they are
just because of vain praise from a jobless girl.

If you really think about what she is saying, it means some Nigerian men
over there are rogue spenders who overpay above an average Kenyan man.

This is how Nigerian relationship have been commercialised by spendthrift men
to the point that some give half of their monthly salary to a girlfriend(not even fiancee)
all in the name of relationship.
When women from other countries encounter this behaviour, they
are surprised and excited that such extravagant men exists. And boom, Nigerian men,
aka spendthrift becomes hot cakes as rumour spreads of group of senseless cash cows
spoiling local women with money.

The funny thing is that the same people who celebrated this travesty will be calling
new generation Nigerian women names for always asking for money when it was
the men who started the culture of monetising relationships.

Any government coming after Tinubu go enjoy plenty money. All these taxes will be painful and Tinubu will be blamed for them. But you see the insane amount of revenue accrued from them, subsequent governments will enjoy them
Depends on how much debt he would be leaving.
And you have to also consider that the average Nigerian can't contribute much to the tax pot.

Musk had better watch his tone with the other children. This his child has disowned him. The others too can follow suit, not by being transgender.

If your children consider you too controlling, some prefer to be free, and emasculate themselves. Damn the money

This his daughter self can make millions by selling her story.

Forget what the movie and media amplify.
It is the other way around.

Most children of super rich American parents are terrified of offending their parents
because of the risk of being cut off financially. It can mean the difference between living
like a king or a slave.

The other children won't dare cross Musk, at least not publicly as long as Musk
has demonstrated his authority to them since childhood.
Money answereth all things is true in this case.

Even this so-called disowner will fight for "his right" if Musk ever write a will and he was left out.

Yes, if you can extradite him first.

Very slow justice. A case that shouldn't have taken more than 3 months to conclude so that the family of the deceased could find closure quickly.
There is a reason for the "slowness".
Every suspect is treated innocent to prevent an innocent getting punished,

Kola simply seating on his dad's wealth and depriving his siblings any succor is cruel and unjust. I am from a polygamous family and my mum is the first wife and such thoughts does not into come into my mind. My dad had 3 wives and didn't even leave a will and there's no rancor.

That is partly because you are educated and has a sustainable job.
Yes, greed is part of the cause of estate war, but financial status of the children play
very big role.

The problem with our thieving elite is that they do not teach their children how to manage wealth. Rather, they tell them, “I’ve stolen enough for you not to bother working again in your life. Come and eat to your hearts content”. That is why we do not hear about the children of the rich after a generation but abroad, the Rockerfellers, the Rothschilds, the Wellingtons and co have children who still control the family fortunes despite their drug problems and all. Jose Mourinho, despite being a successful coach has a daughter who works as an engineer. The former French President has a child who is an ant and works in a public office. In Nigeria, we pay their school fees till 3032 and allow them to fly first class while eating lobsters in 5 star restaurants. No grooming or any form of financial education. Don’t call it karma because the same karma is supposed to affect the British aristocracy and the racist Germans but they continue to wax stronger and do more evil. 98% of the “rich” men in 60’s and 70’s Nigeria cannot even boast of their progenies. Is it Arthur Eze or Danja or Awolowo?

That being said, young man, stop lamenting over properties that your father whom you probably never knew or even knew about you, left. Go and make something of yourself and stop waiting for an inheritance that will never come.
Why put Awolowo on your list?
At no time was he considered a rich man, even in his home town.

He was an ex MFM Pastor who became very weary of Olukoya and wanted to leave the Ministry

Olukoya then had him framed up and accused him of Stealing Church money or something like that

Olukoya used Police who were MFM to keep him in jail for so long

From the writeup above, it is clearly stated that his ordeals started when he and the church CSO
allegedly met at a native doctor's place, not because he wanted to leave.
Why would the church want to keep him around at all cost?

My question regards the allegations by others, was the founder accused of any particular crime?

I the woman this time, let Kayode make the result public or conduct another one afresh in two different hospitals

The woman may not be a saint but I suspect Kayode is pushing all these out of frustration. He is now clubless and a free agent

A drowning man will hang on any available straw to save himself

Both of them failed in making the marriage work.
You are right.
Some people claim no man will deny his kids without evidence
but they don't know what desperation can cause.
Some fathers have been known to kill their kids to spite their wive.

Kayode likely released the rumour to punish her for infidelity but since
most people won't bother if the allegation is just adultery which he likely have a prove of,
he decided to use paternity allegation.

Somehow she's not to be blamed "per se"? undecided... Somehow the man is to be blamed? undecided...

You're part of what is wrong with this world! undecided..

It is pointless blaming anybody for making money via means that are not illegal.
It is not for you to decide which method is appropriate for another person since they
don't exist to make you happy. You can only choose for yourself.

Why would you be angry that a wife allegedly flaunted cash gift from her husband? It doesn't make sense.

Staying alive is not a miracle. Death and transition to another 'world' is the actual miracle. Imagine seeing yourself in another world supernaturally after death. Is that not a miracle?
Death is not a miracle as it can be invoked by anybody at anytime.
Moreover, you have no idea what happens after death, just guesses.

Dey play o. I had an offer to work at a hotel 15 years ago. The pay was to be almost 5 times my salary at the time but I had to decline. I knew my inner man would prevail had I gotten myself exposed to such environment. I don't regret rejecting the offer cos it would surely have changed the course of my life for worse. Not withstanding, I still got classified info about things going on there and even interactions with much older guys and ladies showed me the amount of depravity among Nigerian married people. Just pray to find a decent partner dazall. For me, I'm at the point in my life where I wouldn't be surprised by anything. I've seen and heard alot

How does knowing and worrying about such depravity at hotels help you navigate relationship better?
I repeat again, assuming all married women in Nigeria are chaste except your wife,
Will such stats make you happy and your home peaceful?
ivolt: 4:22pm On May 10, 2024
Illogical submission.

If even just 1% of married women patronise hotel for illicit affairs,
major hotel owners will be dominating Nigeria's Forbes list.

Yet, majority of hotels struggle to breakeven and maintain their structures
despite the imaginary regular influx of married women.

Are there married women who engage in prostitution, yes, but that is the reality of life.
But the idea that an average married woman out there is somewhere selling herself at a hotel is ludicrous.

This is just like asking people to visit Igbobi Orthopaedic so they can fear traveling.
Yes, you will see enough badly broken bones. But that doesn't mean the average person
out there is treating one broken bone or the other. We all know a tiny minority of the people
find themselve in Igbobi.

This post isn't about absolving ALL married women of cheating/prostituting but to
invalidate pointless alarmist arguments.

Married women cheating is as old as marriage itself. We could forgive a child for
not knowing this but an adult shouldn't be surprised or alarmed.

@OP assuming all married women in Nigeria are chaste except your wife,
Will such stats make you happy and your home peaceful?

As long as a particular person's wife has not been found cheating/prostituting
what a random hotel worker reports should be irrelevant to their home.

Hi Nairalanders, Good evening. I'm a member of these forum but silently don't comment and I've been coming across news like this I thought it was an easy decision to make.
My girlfriend decided to post my nude video which we did on video call and I was unaware she was secretly recording it untill yesterday when she sent me the video. She said it's a payback for showing her friend her results of first semester 200lvl.
I pleaded with her thinking all was well and she forgive me only to see her ex messaging me and saying he has the video and the pictures.
Please I need advice should I report her to her parent or the police about the threats cause I have screenshots of her threats which she deleted after making such threat.
Please guys I'll appreciate with any of your advice
Ignore the kids above.
Report to the police or if the girlfriend is a neighbor, report to her parent first.

So why doesn't the US where houses are annually flooded due to torrential rains and severe weather events with some houses even carried away, resort to demolition of the flooded houses as the only solution?
Houses flooded, solution is demolition of such houses;thunder strikes or rains, not even heavy rains falls, solution is to immediately cut off power supply in Nigeria!

I don't think you understand the US.
There is no remedy for severe weather such as hurricane other than not building where it occurs regularly
and that means permanently evacuating a large portion of a state population.
As for flooding too, some are unavoidable regardless of planning.

By the way, the US regularly demolish houses for thousands of reasons such as zoning violations, environmental hazards,
eminent domain, Urban Redevelopment e.g road construction. The developers also understand the risk of building without approval.

Here is a piece of advice, avoid building without approval.
If the climate prediction about Lagos flooding is right, there will be a time where the residents
will be the one begging the government to demolish unapproved buildings to save others.

Unapproved buildings are on borrowed time.

What do you mean by 90% of Nigerians who want and can afford electricity have it. Are there Nigerians that prefer darkness or you are meant to say the 1% who pay special rate have light the rest of Nigerians can go to hell

You said power is not an issue for an industry in other words every person who wants to establish a factory should generate their light. Is that the way developed and industrialised nations like China did it. You forget we have both large, medium and small scale manufacturing outfit.

To even say access to credit, research in your field is more important than power makes me wonder if at all you own a factory. A nation that did not provide power is what you expect to provide cheap credit and research

He is right.
Most Nigerians who can afford rate do not have energy problems.
