Lol, you think APC Nationals want a message sent to them or care what message you want sent to them? cheesy

They're sending a message to you! grin

Nigeria as is, is a socially engineered experiment on state capture, the Edo election is one of many more that will be stolen, and APC would come out after those heists and say see, we're loved, if we're not loved we won't be winning...and if for any reason they choose to concede on some elections, they'd say see, we're not rigging grin

it's mind fvck to the nth degree, you know everything is wrong but the state manufactures evidence to tell you nothing is wrong and whatever suffering you're going through is towards greatness.

Let's not deceive ourselves.

Whether it was disgust for Obaseki, cash inducement or tribal sentiments, a lot of people did actually vote for APC. Infact, I watched a video where one LP agent said there was no rigging in his PU but people overwhelmingly voted for APC because APC gave them money and brought food.

Lets assume they all rejected the money, gifts and food. Maybe PDP would have won and if not, they would have needed heavy amount of rigging like what Wike did in Rivers to make it happen. That would have sent a clear message that no one wants APC.

That depends.

For all intents and purposes osho is Mondays godfather.

He's not. He wasn't even Oshiomholes candidate. The deputy was. They humbled Oshio during the primaries.

Theflint1, if 93% is impossible, what do you think of 94.5%

I can understand LP/Olumide complaining of election malpractice. How can PDP who actively participated in it be complaining?

This was you telling us 93% voter turnout out is not possible.

What do you think of 94.5% turnout? grin

That there'd be 93% voter turn out in polling units in Edo North?

.....when I woke up to this picture, I know my good friend, Theflint1, would be here all day wailing; Democracy in Danger.

Olumide Akpata, dem no gree. Enjoy Monday for next 4yrs. LOL!

Even if they had planned ing Olumide Akpata, chances of him winning is extremely small.

We can continue our virtue signalling on social media all we want. Offline, people are glad to sell their votes for 10k.

This is a country where people now walk into banks to beg bank staff for money.

With the current state of the country, anyone with money to burn will win elections. Olumide Akpata cannot compete with those heavy weights. Plus I hear he's from Edo South which is where the outgoing governor comes from.

I have met with countless people here in Rivers with no hope or plan of a better tomorrow other than praying someone from their place gets appointment or wins an election so they can get political favours. This is one of the reasons why the place a candidate comes from greatly affects our election.

hopefully they will do a post mortem - but the answer is already obvious

obaseki picked too many fights in an election year
he also went overboard when fighting with osho - making it a deeply personal matter
and wike and PH financial has ported - and sim has bigger fish to fry

orubebeism failed in 2015, don't know why obaseki thinks it will work in 2024

fortunately in spite of all the fanning of flames, rattling of swords and blustering [solely by obaseki] this election appears to have been relatively peaceful.

PDP and post mortem?

When has that party ever done any post mortem?

Nigeria is slowly degenerating into a one party state.

Make dem vote for Olumide Akpata, dem no gree.

liveLongNprospa:

Simple.
As at friday night, pdp and apc gathered people in Edo State to get their information.
Infact some people left there by 2am on Saturday morning.
Pdp offered 10k.
Apc offered about 6 cups of rice and like 5k I think.

None of them holy at all😂

Make Theflint1 no come dey bobo us for here. grin

And this is why Labour Party will always have a big challenge. The financial muscle to buy votes and the structure to prevent manipulation is not just there.

Governorship elections will always be different from the National. If INEC conducts election in a state like Ebonyi, APC will win 10 times out of 9, and this is without rigging

The moment you see people decamping from an incumbent party to the opposition, just know was sand don water and garri.

The same Tinubu may not pick 30% there in 2027,but for governorship, the people there will decide what's best for their local politics

True, very true.

I was specific with voter turnout, winning elections with huge margins is normal, especially when it's in zones you're not strong.

From the results I saw, there was no real battle in Edo South, LP that should have played spoiler barely got 3% of votes cast, so PDP was getting as much as 70% of votes cast... somewhat similar was happening in Edo Central, with PDP getting up to 60% of votes cast... PDP candidate already won in 12/18 LGAs, so what APC has been trying to do is use the votes from Edo North to offset those 12 LGAs and they're doing so with ridiculous voter turnout numbers...it's still not adding up and they're now trying to tamper with those Edo South votes, moving collation centres mid collation.

The final results inec releases will be be funny sha, and we might end up seeing votes from Edo North rubbing shoulders with votes from South and Central (about 80% of the states population).

Look at PDP result here. Tell me what you see. 94% voter turnout, PDP result changed from NIL to 324. Both of them are election riggers. Aisha Yesufu put it best when she said both PDP and APC results are mirror images of each other.

Even if you remove padded results, APC still got decent number of votes in Edo State

Is it that Obaseki stepped on too many toes and people will rather drop dead on the road of hunger than vote his puppet.

Thought Nigerians will use the opportunity to send a message to APC National for how they have handled the country.

The court judgment is that the case is "statute barred" not whether the lawmakers are gone or not.
It was determined to have been filed outside the allowed period and that there are already subsisting litigations on same case.

The judgement did not touch on the status of the 26 as valid RSHA or not so your question too is misplaced.

Fubara is illiterate but a serving governor. You are smart...but who are you?

Blind Bartimaeus

Justice Lifu also held that the case was a gross abuse of court process on the ground that several suits on the alleged defection of the same 27 lawmakers had been adjudicated upon by the Federal High Court

Yes, should be around that price. I also bought 8k recently.

Still, 8k for calculator is madness. That's above my monthly upkeep as a student in uni.

the saudis did not give a damn about the other countries in 2016 when they flooded the market trying to kill fracking.
and no one did anything. unfortunately, unlike the saudis, we dont have nay cash reserves to ride out a storm, so we just have to be good boys at the bottom of the pecking order

Interesting..

In all of these, this is the first time I'm seeing elevated levels of transparency from NNPC.

I'm suspecting a huge defense of the Naira by the CBN in the coming months as this can help one part of the fight.

GloriousGbola, Is there a mechanism in which the subsidy/under-recovery be paid only to Dangote without involving NNPC?, One which also mitigates the smuggling problem.

Dangote more or less forced their hands after the last statement issued refuting their claims on pricing.

I can't the exact interview but I the guest argue that if we or any other country tries it, OPEC has the means to crash prices and make life very unbearable for us.

They can put the subsidy on the dollar. It's still the same thing and we won't have to bother about OPEC sanctions.
