…Presents him as the Choice of the people.

Some groups of experienced political and social media analysts have scored Dr. Obiora Okonkwo, a politician/businessman and the Governorship Candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), in the November 6, 2021 Election in Anambra State, high during a SWOT analysis conducted by the group, on all the gubernatorial candidates of the different political parties in the state.

The group also recommended and presented Dr. Okonkwo as the most credible Guber Candidate and the only choice for the people of Anambra state.

The SWOT was conducted by over forty influencers in an online platform, to analyse the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for all the Guber candidates in the state. Some of the notable influencers involved in the swot are drawn from all major political parties, including Comrade Tonye Bacanista, Rev Emmanuel Olorunmagba, Sunday Ehis, Richard Arthur, Ekene Chunwigwe, Michale Ode, Evergreen Okoh among others. The aggregate of the various views formed basis for their report.

The group rated the Ogidi born business man cum politician, 55%, making him the most qualified among his peers. In the SWOT, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was rated 8%, chances, APGA, 20%, PDP, 5%, and YPP, 12%.

According to the analysts, Dr. Okonkwo of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), a Doctor of Philosophy Degree holder in Political Science, was projected as the only Guber Candidate with no known criminal record, no court embargo, well educated with so much international and business experience and had served the country meritoriously both in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

The groups while comparing the records of Dr. Okonkwo amongst the likes of the candidates of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), All Progressives Congress (APC), Young Progressives Party (YPP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), etc, said that Dr Okonkwo stood out as the most acceptable candidate to serve and deliver Anambra people from the misrule of previous istrations.

From the analysis, the groups postulated that Dr. Okonkwo’s credentials and past records are win, win for the people of Anambra state, if elected as the next Governor in November 6, 2021.

My joy about itel is that they give quality and affordable device. Imagine this device going for just 38k. If it was some other brand you will be hearing 70k plus. By God grace I will buy one for my wife.

For storage, itel P37 has 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and an AI Gallery while the itel P37 Pro has 3GB RAM and 64GB ROM version (I’m eagerly waiting for the Pro). With this, the smartphone can run up to 12 apps without hanging, and can store up to 13,000 photos, 9,000 short videos, 300 TV episodes, and like 100 movies. A major plus for itel. The gaming experience on the phone is also much smoother compared to its predecessor, the itel P36. Hmm… itel seems to have made the itel P37 better from battery, to memory and display.

The smartphone is equipped with a lithium polymer inbuilt 5000mAh battery that has been upgraded with a new and revamped AI Power Master. So far, this seems to work as I use the phone for long periods without charging- it lasts 10% longer than the itel P36. itel also added a safe charging feature that turns on automatically when I plug in the phone as extra protection. Oh, boy, itel didn’t scrimp on this device.

I came across a thread on Nairaland Forum about plan by a leading mobile phones manufacturers, itel, to launch their own laptop and earpuds https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/6573303/itel-launches-ear-phones-laptop

After going through that thread, I came to conclusion that the move by itel is one that will positively change the lives of many Nigerians.

At present, it costs huge amount of money to purchase a good brand new laptop computer in the Nigerian market. Due to the high cost of brand new laptop computers, lots of Nigerians have been opting for "UK used" laptops or refurbished Laptop computers that are packaged as UK used, which are sold little bit cheaper than brand new but still expensive to the average Nigerian. Despite the relative expensiveness of these UK used laptops computers, they neither come with warrantee of any form nor is there any assurances of their durability. At best, customers purchasing them do so at their own risk.

For instance, a UK used laptop computer I bought in August 2015 only lasted less than 2 months before folding up. I regretfully sold it less than 20% of the amount I bought it after spending several amount on repairs. If it was a brand new product, I'd simply had gone to the where I bought it with my warrantee card to ask for free repair or an exchange.

Considering that itel is famous for producing quality mobile phones and smart phones that are relatively affordable to the average Nigerian, I expect that their Laptop computers will not be anyway different.

Therefore, the introduction of laptop computers into the Nigeria market by itel will give the average Nigerian the luxury of owning with brand new laptop computers that come with a minimum of 12 months warrantee and at an affordable rate.

I recall that several years ago, smartphones were very expensive to the average Nigerian, in fact, one will be called "rich" by mere owning of smart phones. This however changed after itel (and her sister brands entered Nigerian market).

Today, any Nigerian, including students and rural dwellers can own a brand new itel smartphone of high quality with as little as 17,000 naira, anyone could purchase a brand new itel A14 Smartphone, while the trendy itel s16 pro can be gotten for 40,000 naira.

I'm not rich but I'm happy for this development, my expectation from itel is that their laptop computer remains affordable for the Nigerian.

I rest my case.

Nigeria Integrity Movement,NIM has advocated for more for NATFORCE through legislative means, insisting that the proliferation of arms poses serious threats to Nigeria’s fledgling democracy, undermines her security and stability, sustainable development and the rule of law.

National Coordinator of the Movement, Mr. Kayode Esan, while speaking with the media in Cross-River state, said curbing this menace demands immediate legislation that will empower NATFORCE to carry out this onerous national task and public education, commitment and high motivation on the part of government for law enforcement personnel, as well as proper funding to reposition the palpable security architecture of the country.

Mr Esan recommends strengthening the operation of National Taskforce in all states to complement the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Security Services in combating the proliferation of illicit sales of light arms and small weapons in communities.
He also called for political will on the part of the government to increase security at all borders and sea ports, to put an end to illicit sales while providing and training for NATFORCE operatives.

He maintained that the new Management's wealth of experience both in the public service and exposure, will create enough impetus to synergise with other para- military agencies to mount security surveillance on critical national assets.

Mr Esan commended Dr Baba Mohammed and his management team for convening such a formidable body which plays a dual role of dousing the rising security tension in the country as well as creating more gainful employment opportunities.

'The new body will control and check the mass influx and proliferation of small and also large firearms into the country that has encouraged the activities of bandits, kidnappings, armed robbery and other criminal activities that have rendered the well-being of Nigerians prone to many security challenges.

'The onus lies on the government and lawmakers to do anything humanly possible to restore the confidence of Nigerians and the international communities from losing confidence in the Nigeria state, particularly in the area of Investments and influx of investors.'

In ing a vote of confidence on the leadership of the body, Mr Esan placed commendation  and emphasis on the adoption of strict compliance to security reports, federal character and due diligence in carrying out its activities, noting that the presence of men of the new body has stimulated security consciousness of many Nigerians, and posed a serious challenge to criminal elements within the country.

Dr. Ademola Bayonle Gives Free JAMB Registration To Over 600 Students In Osun State.

Painfully, one in every five of the world’s out-of-school children is in Nigeria. According to UNICEF, about 10.5 million of the country’s children aged 5-14 years are not in school. Only 61 percent of 6-11 year-olds regularly attend primary school and only 35.6 percent of children aged 36-59 months receive early childhood education. Also the Country's adult literacy rate was at level of 62 % in 2018, up from 51.1 % in 2008.

The Dr. Bayonle Ademola Foundation aka DAB Foundation, founded by a Medical Doctor based in the US and a Native of Gbongan, Osun State, has rose to the occasion to arrest the growing rate of Illiteracy in Osun State. In a very rare feat, the DAB Foundation has offered free t ission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) registration to 600 Secondary School Students in all the Local Government Areas in Osun State, Nigeria.

At one of its JAMB registration centres, speaking on behalf of his Principal, Dr. Ademola Bayonle, Mr. Ojo Olukunle Phillip said; "You will all agree that something needs to be urgently done to arrest the growing rate out-of-school children and the high rise in illiteracy in our dear State. With this, generous donation a heavy financial load has been taken off the students and their parents."

He further explained that: "DAB Foundation is very much committed to ameliorating the living conditions of Citizens. This is our core values, serving humanity is our focal point. This, we shall keep doing."

One of the recipients of the free JAMB registration, Miss Ahmed Kehinde from Gbongan, Ayedaade Local Government, said: "We cannot but be thankful to God for using Dr. Ademola of the DAB Foundation for giving is this JAMB forms for free. For me, my parents may not have been financially buoyant to afford this form for me, we all know the financial situation in the Country."

Mr. Adeseun Joseph from Ipetumodu Local Government, another recipient said,"We need more people like Dr. Ademola Bayonle to come to help people like us. I just want to say thank you and my heart is full of prayers for the DAB Foundation."

A parent, Mr. Fatai who was visibly happy and grateful for this unprecedented gesture from the DAB Foundation was of the opinion that political leadership should be yielded to public spirited individuals like Dr. Ademola Bayonle. In his words: "The man has really tried, we need people like him in position of government. The common man will not suffer and we will all progress as a people."

Indeed, Education is the bedrock of any serious Country that is poised for development and greatness.

Convoking sovereign national conference is not a tea party as some people think.

It will negate the national assembly and subvert the existing Constitution.

Who will convoke the sovereign conference? Does the President have the power? Can the national assembly do it?

It is a dicey situation.
Who are the National Assembly ? If the Governors are serious, they should instruct the Houses of Assembly to first resolution for the convocation of SNC. Then their NASS can take it up on the floor of their chambers to demand for it by proposing resolution or a bill to that effect.

As for the numbers, legislators from the South+Middlebelt+Non Fulani/Kanuri north are super majority combined (that is if the Fulani/Kanuri elites opposes).

See, this thing is not as cumbersome as they are making it to seem. The only problem is that the beneficiaries of the present system are not really interested for anything that will affect their "business".

...Says agitations across the country as a result of injustice, failed leadership, corruption

Valentine Ozigbo, the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) frontrunner in the race for Anambra governorship, has offered practical steps that governments in Nigeria should take in addressing the security challenges in the county.

In a statement issued from his campaign office in Awka on Saturday, May 1, 2021, the capital of Anambra State, Mr Ozigbo condemned the attacks on innocent Nigerians and called on the government to demonstrate responsibility by securing the lives and properties of every citizen.

Ozigbo, the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, declared the current security crisis as "an existential threat" and offered solutions towards restoring peace to the country.

"We are facing an existential threat. The value of human lives is fast eroding to nothingness. A once peaceful state like Anambra has now become a theatre of violent crimes," he said.

Mr Ozigbo recommended immediate steps that the government can take towards solving the security crisis.

"I have been calling for state policing and more community involvement in securing our local communities by way of vigilante groups for some time now. These are globally accepted templates with evidence-based results," the respected business leader declared.

"Recruiting the police from within the community helps to engender confidence and strengthen crime-fighting. It is about time we try novel solutions to solve this crisis."

Touching on the various agitations for self-determination in several regions of Nigeria, Ozigbo maintained that these were "a direct result of leadership failure, injustice, and unimaginable corruption by our political class". He also cited a weak educational system and a crumbling economy as factors contributing to the security crisis.

In his words, "We cannot continue to pretend as if we got here by accident. The crisis we are currently facing is a direct result of leadership failure, injustice, and unimaginable corruption by our political class."

"Nigeria needs a vibrant economy that will keep our youth employed. We need to educate all our children so that they will not become easy tools in the hands of warmongers, terrorists and those hellbent on destabilising our country," Ozigbo continued.

"Our economy and our educations system need emergency action, in the same measure as our security apparatus does. We need to provide world-class and universal education to all our children.

"We need to come up with rich impactful programmes that will engage our youth and empower them to channel their energies to production and value creation.

"Our economy needs to be re-engineered to create opportunities for our youth. Emphasis must go to small and medium enterprises with a view of pulling millions out of abject poverty in the shortest possible time.

"Government intervention in the economy must not be populist tokenism as we have seen in the past. Instead, we need robust action to kickstart economy to work again for everybody," he said.

Ozigbo called for unity in confronting the country's insecurity challenges, saying that matters of security and the lives of fellow Nigerians should not become a political sport.

"This is a matter that calls for all hands to be on deck for the sake of our country. Difficult times such as this calls for statesmanship, not brinkmanship," he declared.

"We must rise to the challenges of our time and unite behind a common vision for peace and progress. The lives of all Nigerian matter."

Valentine Ozigbo is one of Nigeria's most recognisable philanthropists who channels his charity work through his foundation, Valentine Chineto Ozigbo (VCO) Foundation. He resigned from his seat on the board of Transcorp Plc and those of its subsidiaries, Transcorp Hotels Plc and Transcorp Power Limited, to focus on his next chapter in public service.
Exactly. Let them give us jobs and stop Fulani police/army from killing us. I Ozigbo
