Good day everyone,

I want to depart Nigeria on the 26th because I will be using a connecting flight by Qatar airways which arrives Gatwick on the 27th but my entry date is 27th to the UK.

I want to know if I would have any issues boarding on that 26th?

I experienced that in 2023; my UK visa and family, started on the 25th of that month. The Qatar flight from Nigeria departed at 10am on the 24th from Nigeria to arrive in the UK on the 25th at 6am. You will NOT have a problem with boarding Qatar flight and staff on that day.

But at almost the last point of the Nigeria immigration side, they would try everything to frustrate and extort you (telling you, Why do you want to exit Nigeria when your UK visa has not started?; telling lies their like their system flagging it, would not allow them to check you out....bla..bla... they would ask you to come back the next day,your visa start date. Though I strongly disagreed with their story and was very adamant not to give them a dime, they still delayed and extorted 10k from family of 5 at that point.... we were never expecting there could be this kind of extortion. Hope they would have changed now. you may prepare against this.

I used pounds card that belongs to a friend in the Uk. But, you can actually pay using dollar card issued by Nigerian bank as well.

What do you fill in the skill worker visa form for the question: "Do you know where will you be staying in UK?" when you have no UK address yet

Employer can chose to sponsor for 6months to 5 years....its based on their discretion...
The info on ukvi website is for visa application
Cost.... 1-3 years pay same: 247£
4 to 5 years pay same: 479£

Is the IHS fee still required for a skill worker visa that is not a health-care worker visa?
I'm not sure if this is correct, but I've heard that the IHS fee applies only to student and settlement visas, while ALL skilled worker visas (Health and Non-Health) are currently exempt. Someone with the latest information should please confirm.

Also, where do i check the 5-year, Skill Worker Visa application fee any day? kindly help please
