This Man can never stop hate speech.

Why is the name of terrorist Abubakar Shekau not included since terrorist Nnamdi Kanu is part of the list. I thought Man of the year is choosen based on the positive impact impacted on the society not base on the destruction they brought upon innocent civilians.

Apostle Suleman is a terrorist Pastor who command the killing of his fellow human beings. As i said time and again the worst form of corruption is ignorance. He called for the disintegration of Nigeria because He accused Fulani herdsmen for targeting only christians. He failed to know that the same Fulani herdsmen were accused of killing hundred of people in Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto and Kebbi. This fake Apostle of God also failed to know that there are thousand Christains among both Hausa and Fulani community. Apostle Suleman and Abubakar Shekau of Boko haram are 'bird of the same feather' they both command the killing of innocent people and therefore the govt should immediately arrest him.The dilemma of Fulani Christians is being deepened. A Fulani christian friend of mine from Wusasa Zaria captured this scenario succinctly when he told me he's faced with an identity crisis. His physical features are so Fulani-ingrained that a even the blind can tell, and here he is being kicked by both sides of the divide. He lamented about being on the fault line of civilisation. It is his type that Apostle Suleiman said should be killed whenever sighted close to his Church. Meanwhile, even Shekau can enter his church because he doesn't look Fulanish. Too bad!

I did mine in Borno state in 2004/2005 batch B. It was great experience of my life. I was posted to Banki, a town at the edge of Nigeria border with Cameroon. I served in the only primary school of the town. Everything was peaceful then. Now it is a different story altogether. It is now a no-go area. The town is deserted now. There is no single human being in it. Boko Haram killed alot of people in the town and eventually captured it in 2014 before it was recaptured by Nigerian troops in 2015. I the beautiful Kanuri girls, shuwa arabs etc. please am looking for anyone that served in Borno state, batch B 2004/2005. Shuld me at [email protected] for job opportunity.

Here’s a sad photo of Jordanian pilot who was captured by ISIS militants after his warplane was shot downwhile he was conducting airstrikes over Syria. ISIS shared photos of his capture on Twitter

Jordanian Information Minister Mohammad Momani told AP that First Lieutenant Mu’ath Safi Yousef al-Kaseasbeh’s plane was shot down by ‘ground fire’. This is the first time a foreign soldier will fall into ISIS hand since the U.S-led coalition began its air campaign against the extremists.

The 27 year old pilot is said to be from a prominent Jordanian family. His family said Mu’ath felt it was a religious duty to fight ISIS because they were ‘distorting the true spirit of Islam’. His family has publicly begged for mercy, asking ISIS to release him but that’s probably not going to happen.

Boko Haram militants are believed to be training middle aged men who are trapped in Bama, Gwoza and surrounding villages, opinion leaders have said.

Leader of the Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, has declared Gwoza the headquarters of his “Islamic Caliphate” after sporadic attacks forced away local authorities, security establishments, the first class emir and many others.

Hundreds of others who could not flee were held hostage. The situation is the same in Bama as well as in more than 15 local government areas in Borno State.

Community leaders told our correspondent in Borno that dozens of trapped residents in Bama and Gwoza who refused to be “enlisted” for the training on arms handling were killed by Boko Haram commanders.

“I am sad to inform you that the delay by Nigerian authorities to recover Bama and Gwoza from the terrorists is leading to something else,” said Mustapha Emmanuel queried the rationale behind leaving major towns under the control of the Boko Haram, saying: “We are fully aware that both Bama and Gwoza were taken over by the insurgents long before Mubi, but I am still confused as to how Mubi was rescued. Is it because it is the hometown of the Chief of Defence Staff?”

About 20 local government areas of Borno State are currently under the control of Boko Haram, forcing over two million people to relocate to Maiduguri, the state capital and other locations, according to the deputy governor, Zanna Umar Mustapha.

Musa, a community leader in Bama who is now taking refuge in Maiduguri.

For now, a lot of our people trapped in Bama have been moved into a camp in Gwoza where they are forcefully undergoing special training on terrorism, in fact, some have been cajoled to accept the doctrine of the insurgents.”

Asked how he got his information since he was taking refuge in Maiduguri, Musa said: “Some people escaped from Bama on Friday when soldiers from Cameroon invaded the town and came with the story.”

Cameroon’s army yesterday said it has dismantled a training camp for Boko Haram militants. It is the first time the army has dismantled a camp and appears to represent a further success for the military after it said it killed 116 militants on Wednesday.

Dozens of militants were arrested or killed and 84 children who were being trained theat the camp seized, the army said. Reuters quoted spokesman for Cameroon’s Ministry of Defence, Lieutenant Colonel Didier Badjeck as saying that local people in northwest Cameroon alerted the military at the weekend to the camp in Guirvidig locality, near the border with northeastern Nigeria.

“The Rapid Intervention Battalion of our army immediately launched an attack, seized 84 children between seven and 15 who were undergoing training in the camp, arrested 45 of the trainers and killed many more,” he told Reuters. At press time, there was no independent confirmation.

The children are being investigated to determine whether they are Cameroonian or Nigerian while the 45 militant trainers arrested will be transferred to the capital Yaounde, he said. Badjeck said there was no precise toll because the fighters fled in pick-up trucks carrying their dead, adding that three pick-ups were burned. He did not say whether the army suffered any casualties during the operation.

Jean-Pierre Mbida, a soldier with the Rapid Intervention Battalion tasked fighting Boko Haram, said the area where the camp was discovered had been “relatively calm.” He said soldiers would search the area for other hideouts and training camps.

Boko Haram has killed hundreds of people in northeastern Nigeria this year as it campaigns for an Islamist state. The group has also attacked other cities and stepped up cross-border incursions into Cameroon, prompting Cameroon to deploy troops to its northern region.

Nigerian troops, in collaboration with the local hunters, on Wednesday had a landslide victory over the Boko Haram insurgents as they recaptured Gombi, Hong, and Pella towns which had been under the control of the religious extremists.

A security source disclosed that from about four days ago the military had been making frantic efforts to recapture the three towns under the control of the Islamic sect and that the troops became victorious on Wednesday when they overwhelmed the insurgents in a fierce battle.

He said the gun battle between the Nigerian troops and the enemy lasted for four days, resulting in the death of more than 400 insurgents as several of them were arrested.

According to the source, there were casualties on the part of the Nigerian troops and several of them, including a top ranking officer, were injured.

“ The Nigerian troops are now in full control of Gombi, Hong and Pella towns and more than 400 insurgents were killed in a battle that lasted for four days and several of them have been arrested," he said.
“ A lot of weapons and equipment were also recovered from the insurgents. However, a top ranking officer was seriously injured as a few soldiers lost their lives in the battle. May their soul rest in peace.”

A fleeing resident from Gombi confirmed the victory to THISDAY, alleging that the troops were in control of the three towns now.

He said he was hiding on a mountain on the major road to Gombi when he saw many local hunters moving towards Gombi on Tuesday from Yola, the state capital. He said he was told that they were in the state capital to be ed and orientated by the state government to prepare them to assist the military in the fight against the insurgents.

The source said with the zeal he saw in the hunters while they were going to the troubled areas, he believed that they would be victorious in the end, adding that since about three days ago he had been hearing sounds of gunshots from both the troops and Boko Haram insurgents.

“ Our troops and local hunters are committed to end the activities of the insurgents in the north-east and happy that very soon we will return home,” he said

I served in Borno State 2004/2005 Batch B. It was the best experience of my life. I posted to a town known as Banki at the edge of the Nigerian Border with Cameroon. I served in the only primary school of the town. The people there were very friendly and very hospitable. Everyone in the town wanted to associate with me. The town attract people from the neighboring Cameroon and chad republic. It was the best period of my life. I will never forget the sweet memories. I meet and interact with a lot of people. Unfortunately the situation now is no longer as sweet as before. It is the boko Haram den and people are being slaughter like ram.
