Dear friend,
I don't how to tell you politely that you score F in simple arithmetic, talkless of maths.

Please stop this .

Now listen carefully.

If the dollar has appreciated 913% since 1999, according to you calculations, then it means that the purchasing power of $dollar has also increased by 913% today.

Listen carefully again.
This would mean that the $30b Buhari inherited today, has 913 x of the purchasing power of what OBJ inherited.

Let me make it even simpler.

1. In 1999, OBJ inherited $3b @ N22 = N66b and much lower oil prices than what we have today.

2. In 2016, Buhari inherited $30b @N200 = N6 trillion and much higher oil prices than OBJ met.

So sir, your math is upside down.

Now, if OBJ can do so much with so much less, then Buhari is an incompetent buffoon for wailing with what he has.
are u saying that if N5 can buy only one exercise book in 1999, the same N5 can buy 10 execise book now since the purchasing power of $dollar has also increased by 913% today?.

It's actually d other way around.. Oil price slump leading to slide of the naira because like we all know we import basically everything... read dis

https://www.thecable.ng/dangote-well-start-selling-forex-to-cbn-by-2020
and dis

http://www.financialnigeria.com/cbn-to-provide-forex--for-dangote-refinery-sustainable-photovideo-details-288.html

D CBN didn't and haven't complained of dollar scarcity. Infact it's actually due to too much dollar dat our naira is falling lol. Why is it almost everyone is calling for the ban to be relaxed?? Read the various reports and interviews of Mr Kachikwu urself on d lingering fuel scarcity. it was blamed on the I'll advised NNPC strike and den sabotage. If d CBN can make forex available to dangote to dat amount, how den can u say dey have no dollar??
Dangote Group is currently building what is considered to be the single largest refinery in the world, capable of processing 650,000 barrels of oil per day. When completed, the refinery would make Nigeria self-sufficient in petroleum products and a net exporter to other countries in West Africa. The fertilizer plant would be able to produce 2.8 million metric tonnes per annum of urea and ammonia.
.
Dangotes project is the solution to our dollar scarcity in 2 years time, hence the need for the country to invest in the project which will bring in high forex in the country, The forex restriction was nt meant for manufacturers bt people who want to continue importing without exporting. and the project will also remove the importation of fuel frm our forex reserve. So its a big investment no one on his right senses will turn down.

Lol.. Like seriously?? U obviously have no idea what is going on or how d whole foreign exchange thing works. BDC's (bureau DE change operators) and anyone needing foreign exchange used to get it from the CBN (find out about the form A and B) but d new restrictions included BDC's and some import items and as such dealers in those items and d BDC's had to go source for forex elsewhere. As for d current fuel scarcity, it has nothing to do with our refining capacity because our refineries have being comatose and totally non functional even though d present govt wants to make u believe it still refines at some level and as such d nation has always depended on oil imports. Even Mr. Kachikwu recently affirmed that. So I wonder where u get ur own facts and info from. We all need dis govt to com gud but we don't need to make excuses for dem.
ask urself what led to dollar restrictions? it is oil price slump leading to low dollar inflow. Jonathan spent $5 billion dollars from our reserve to defend the dollar between january to april 2015 when the oil slump started or is it buhari's policy

Where is the place of demand in your thesis?

Demand has drastically decreased by 200% hence your curve is not realistic. Simple.

There is no scarcity on essential goods until demand exceeds supply.

Tomatoes are still selling less than their market value.

Fear and uncertainty induced by Buhari's government economic policy is the problem
you have move to tomato.
The fall in tomato price is as a result of Glut. which is increase in supply bt decrease in demand.

.
dont attribute it to buhari, it has been happening.

Yea dollar no scarce.. D scarcity we're experiencing is an artificial scarcity systematically created by the Central bank's restrictions on dollar sales. Banks simply hoard d ones dey get from d central bank and do their own businesses with it. D fall global oil prices didn't happen overnight which is reminiscent in d steep slide d naira experienced and partly due to govt's(minister of finance) indecision on how to tackle it. Dollar scarcity isn't an excuse for d lingering fuel scarcity
the Cbn have no dollar talk more of selling to all importers, the fuel scarcity we experience is as a result of low price of crude oil, Nigerian fuel refining capacity cannot serve the whole country, hence the need to import refined fuel, The importers are already running out of dollars already to continue their business.

What is your problem with exchange rate?

Spending and direct foreign investments will stimulate our economy if the Government can create the enabling environment.

Learn from this adage "Having no cash d't mean poverty".
what type of foreign investment?. if you depend on that it wont stop the dollar scarcity, do u mean that saudi arabia, venezuela, russia and egypt dont have economists or big foreign investors, because the problem nigeria is facing nw is better than other oil exporting countries.
