gala

i almost forgot this one, its one good example too, an average Nigerian doesnt know gala is just a brand name, lol
people even go to d extent of calling other brands gala. e.g give me meatie gala instead of meatie beef roll, its so funny but one has to give it to these companies. i only welcome competition to regulate price and sometimes trigger sense of competitive existence

Indomie noodles does not operate under a monopoly market structure, but an oligopoly; so does St. Louis sugar, milo choco-milo cube grin and the other products you mentioned. Pure monopoly is more of a theory.
I agree we need more like products to come into the market for open competition in order to avoid collusion.

i don't understand, if you say St' Louis sugar operates under oligopoly market structure, where are few competitors and why do you say so. ive not seen any since ive been consuming this product, i agree in the case of Indomie noodles and cabin biscuit

This thread only further proves how foolish the majority of Nigerians are.

@all those shouting Boko Haram and calling others animals because of this topic,
CAN YOU PEOPLE QUOTE THE EXACT PART OF THE OP'S POST WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT BOKO HARAM WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FIRE?
Thank you.

the event best describes there activities and you can't take it away from them until they come out to cull it off their profile, if out of 10 attacks they claim 8 then you can easily give them the other 2, of what use is a defense for a group that has been in d same business

Monopoly Products: Think Of Those Things That Has Been Around With No Rivals

I was just looking at my pack of St. Louis cube Sugar and i just thought of those things that has always been around for years with no similar competitive product, i can this cube sugar has been around as far back as 1980s while i was in primary school.

This product has enjoyed the Nigerian market for so long that we barely ask for another,  im not against it, im just saying. what is so special or what are they doing right that has made this product so acceptable to us, they have become a family name that you find it so difficult to ask for another brand.

other products too includes, indomie noodles before the other ones like chikki and dangote came into the market but still has not been able to compete well.
i might be wrong or maybe not exposed enough to see other options but i know there some products in this category you can , maybe before i was born tlll date,
okin biscuit was also around for so long for the average while Mc. Vites varieties was for the rich.

can you anyone?
those things you used to buy to boarding school  and so on,

The DG nysc came around and assured us all that if we don't want to go to yobe, we cannot be forced to go. We all filled redeployment forms stating insecurity in the state as our reason. We chose states with the exception of lagos, port harcourt and abuja. Our redeployment letters would be ready tomorrow so i'll be able to confirm how it went.

good development, no corp member should be allowed to stay near those places, they are animals up north (d few ones),
they despise anything good, they hate western education and hate the produce of western education, yet these bastardz use weapons developed by western education to wage war against it, bloody illiterates

WOW . . . . I am gonna guess you were either too young to have known of the Lekki area back 20-30 years ago or you were not probably not in Lagos State at that time, because Lekki was mostly swamp area during the Jakande era, and the population of the zone was in the low hundreds. Apart from the beach(swampy, dirty beach) and the groves, and maybe the animals to see, there was not much in lekki to do or see back in those days.  grin grin grin grin What would have been the sense in investing millions of limited state resources in building extra lanes on a highway like that in hopes that 20 to 30 years later, it would be used?

You're wrong on this one again as usual , you should ask questions about that area. the whole of lekki was just palm/rubber tree plantation. farmers lived there and the road has been existing for more than 30years, the jakande estate there is a good example of how long people have settled there and it was the 3rd of jakande estate to be built by lateef jakande himself even before the one at Iba on your way to badagary. This is the reason Jakande is still the best till date, he was like a prophet then, you can imagine this man building estates as far as these places and made it low cost as far back as 1982. and these estates are still very relevant now. we dont see these things anymore, everybody is expected to buy a land and start building which might take 10 or 15years, i wonder how long such person will live in such houses
so the lekki road has been there for long, not worked on though and its a pity Lagos state government wants to toll it without providing an alternative but all the same, if its necessary, then they should go on but a concession with a hidden plan is just bad for the pace setter

Hehehehe! Tell that to the Russians (By the way, they are protesting in that country- would you like us to protest too?). Talk about Nigerian roads, just yesterday you were educating me on how smooth and beautiful Nigerian roads are- why are you now jumping to Russia? Aren't there enough of smooth Nigerian roads to show a dork like me that you have to start showing me Russian mud-traps?

Roads in a developing country will always take a long time because the more roads the govt builds, the more people move to areas without roads and after few years of living there they complain govt is not making a motor-able road for them

killing all muslims in ND will not help, it'll only lead to a war and that's exactly what they want, so they can do what they know how to do best but i still believe top muslim clerics are not doing enough, this bigots respects them a lot and yet they are not coming out to condemn it publicly, yet when its few months to elections you'll see them at occasions receiving all manner of gifts and giving silly lectures

nagoma:

Bombs have been thrown around and BH have killed too many innocent people but the explosion in kaduna was clearly not a bomb . There was no terrorists target in that area and no claim was made by anyone. Boko Haram has now attracted all criminals to use them as their shield.
1. The now well known terror of hotel bombings in Abuja about the greater  Eid Muslim celebration . Shivers were sent the the country and to foreign embassies and thru out the world. It was blamed on BH but was found to be caused by 4 Igbo youths who confessed to causing much mayhem and sending terror messages and criminal demands for money.
2. The Azare/ bauchi state bombing of 2  police stations and 2 banks last weekend was most terrifying and devastating with explosions rocking the town from midnight to 4 am that Sunday morning and of course many losses of lives. It is now certain that this was a robbery planned to look like BH attack. The Bauchi State commissioner of police Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba  has already announced the arrest of insiders among workers in the 2 banks over the loss of  a total of 32.3million naira alleged to be during the attack. The money from both banks was no doubt taken out of the vaults before the bank was broken into thru the violence that night. Both vaults were intact and not violated in anyway. Please follow up on this story. It was a bank robbery in preparation for Christmas - check it out.
3. A lady presented herself to the osun state broadcasting corporation claiming that her entire family was wiped out by BH in a village , Kangarama in Katsina State. She said her family  originated from osun state but she is not sure of what location. Now she claimed to be the only surviving member of the family. The osun state deputy governor has offered to adopt and take care of this woman. But the truth is that (a) there is no town or village by the name of Kangarama in the whole of katsina state, and I believe no where else- how can an adult woman be unsure of the name of a place she was born and she and her family lived for decades.(b) there is no history of attack by Boko Haram anywhere in katsina state to corroborate this fiction.

at bolded, i want to believe spare parts shops owned by Ibos believed to be 99% christians is a good terrorist target for the BH boys, correct me if im wrong

i personally thank God that no life was lost but it is only in nigeria such thing will happen and nothing will be done, what i`m saying here now is that the police need to investigate the cause of the accident and arrest and punish who ever is guity, seeing the pic, she might be the one actually driving.
