firstly, The guys told the police that they were political thugs of the Senate president and they got gifts from one of his Aides which includes firearms and funds.

secondly, Micheal Adikwu didn't supply them arms and ammunition as you falsely stated it in your comment. He was drafted in a a sub-leader of the gang. The gang already had 2 Ak47. they also a former police officer who gave them some more 11 Ak47. Micheal Adikwu was only on a revenge mission where he killed a whopping 22 people which included 2 pregnant women, 9police officer and 11 innocent civilians.
