The Night I Met the Spirits in Haiti

I the night vividly. The air in Port-au-Prince was thick with anticipation as I was led to a secluded lakou to witness a Vodou ceremony. The rhythmic drumming resonated deep within me, setting the stage for an experience that would blur the lines between the physical and spiritual realms.
As the ceremony commenced, participants began to dance and chant, their movements synchronized with the beats. Suddenly, one of them collapsed, convulsing on the ground. The houngan approached, chanting softly, guiding the spirit that had taken hold. Witnessing this possession was both mesmerizing and humbling, a testament to the deep connection between the practitioners and the lwa (spirits) they serve.
The rituals, the offerings, the songs, all were part of a sacred tradition of these people.

The Spirit Festivals of home

Much later, I returned to Nigeria during the Egungun festival, a celebration honoring ancestral spirits. The atmosphere was electric as masqueraders, adorned in elaborate costumes, danced through the streets. Each movement, each beat of the drum, was a call to the the spirit entities given life by those who have formed convictions, inviting them to the living in celebration.

The Egungun, believed to embody the spirits of the departed, moved with an otherworldly grace. As they approached, the crowd parted, showing reverence and awe. The experience was a powerful reminder of the deep respect our African culture have for our ancestors and the spirit world.

Similarly, in Benin, the annual Ouidah festival draws thousands to honor the spirits. The ceremonies, dances, and rituals are a vibrant display of faith and cultural pride. i have attended this festival thrice now and each time the experience is deeply profound and different for me.

Reflections

Experiencing these ceremonies firsthand always challenges my perceptions and deepened my appreciation for our rich traditions and the profound expressions of spirituality, community, and identity. They remind us of the importance of embracing our heritage, and recognizing the interconnectedness of all things.

These experiences taught me so much that each year i always have something to look forward to during my travels.

1) Those who plant good seed on good soil and tender to it are expected to have God harvest.

But how does the concept of a curse/badluck come into play. Because I read your work on transference where you said a child acts as the receiving end of badluck for his/her other siblings.

Does that means someone with a curse of badluck will plant a good seed on a good soil and tend to it regularly but end up having a bad harvest?
Does that mean their cause doesn't give effect

4) Pregnant Virgins:

For Jesus to be born on earth, it means he has to follow due process. Because he could have just appeared as a baby and be adopted.
But that wasn't the case. There was a process even Jesus had to go through to be on earth: being born from a woman

Spiritual gifts are born with not learned. The problem is people confuse learned skills with spiritual gifts. You can't learn to heal if you weren't born with the gift. This is why I laugh when I see people claim to teach other spiritual gifts.

What Jesus did was awaken the gifts that were already within them and be being in such close proximity with a divine one they bodies where forced to evolve spiritual gifts which he awakened in them.

There are no divine envoys to the earth since then so all else who claim to own healing schools or society where they teach people spiritual gifts are all lying.

Because if you want to learn(grow) more spiritually you must start from a fearless foundation because whatever you meet or see out there can only harm or help you through you. Oh to say i have seen and read much spiritual works would be the understatement of the century I have been privileged indeed in this particular earth life of mine to be candid. i have travelled far and wide , seen and studied and experience too much to tell indeed .
From the dark hour glowing manuscripts to the voynich manuscript. the book of cerne, the escorial beatus and far too many others have i been privileged to see, touch, and partake in group viewings etc

But all hasn't been rosy and peaches, such lengthened spiritual journeying has not been without its toll both physically and otherwise, alas that is a tale for another day.

My problem with the book is that it is incomplete, like its told there are some pages missing, alot of spells where removed from this book for safe keeping, by who? no one knows. Apparently those spells removed are very powerful and cause harm to those who read it

His purpose was unique—unlike the prophets before or after Him. Jesus was sent not simply as a messenger but as a teacher, embodying love and comion. His mission was to reveal the essence of God’s heart to humanity, living among us to experience creation as His Father had intended.

It is worth noting that all prophets would have acknowledged His divine origin had their paths crossed, just as John the Baptist did when he proclaimed, “Behold, the Lamb of God.” Jesus was not merely another prophet—He came as the Son, a figure of unparalleled significance in the spiritual hierarchy.

While Jesus Christ holds a unique place as the Son of God, this does not diminish the importance of Prophet Mohammed or any of the prophets who came before or after. Each played a vital role in humanity’s spiritual journey. It is essential to respect both the Son of God and the prophets for their divine missions, without resorting to blasphemy or unwarranted comparisons.

Prayer, however, should always be directed to God—the ultimate source of all creation. Jesus Himself prayed to His Father, teaching humanity to do the same, and Prophet Mohammed guided his followers to worship God alone. Dividing ourselves by abusing these holy figures or disrespecting their teachings only reflects the darkness within us, not the divine light they came to share.

To those who casually mock or blaspheme against Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed, take heed: these acts stem from a place of evil, not good. They serve no purpose other than to sow discord and degrade the spiritual fabric of our world. Such actions carry profound consequences. While karma may seem distant or abstract, it is a force that will inevitably balance the scales. In the spirit world, where truths are laid bare, the devastation of blasphemy will be felt acutely, avenging itself on those who sow such seeds of disrespect.

In the face of matters we do not fully understand, silence is often the wisest path. If you cannot speak words of kindness or respect, it is better to hold your tongue than to invite spiritual repercussions. I feel they don't know the extent of what they're saying yet as they approach the subject from a physical perspective

1. Yes the mind is that powerful, and yes the opposite is possible.
2. Literally yes but it involves some deeper spiritual processes and the spiritual gifts of the one trying to heal the sick one or self. Someone with the gift of healing will heal without even prayer or mind involvement so it really depends on these factors.
3. When you look into the spiritual it looks into you. To put it as simply as possible.
