Fatigue is something all parents complain about at the beginning but you and wifey can and should make it easier for yourselves by taking turns. It's important you do because it's not something that will get better within a week or two. It takes months till babies sleep for more than three hours without waking up. And you really need to be fit so that you do not fall asleep while driving. Talk to your wife and ask her if she would be ok with the solution I suggested here or maybe you find a different and better solution. Either way, I hope you guys will manage the situation and fatigue in a way that you can enjoy parenthood.

It takes a while for newborn babies to adjust to the day and night rhythm but even if you're lucky and your baby adjusts as early as around 6 weeks, you or your wife will still need to feed the baby every 2-3 hours. There is nothing you can do about it. You and the mother need to each other now more than ever. Maybe you can sleep in a different room every few days and on free days have your wife take naps so that you two compensate somehow. Fatigue is part of the deal but there are different degrees to it. You don't have to feel like a sleepwalking zombie all the time.
