NairaSea23: Bro., welcome to the State of Wisconsin - America's Dairyland. You will love it. Stout is also a great school in the University of Wisconsin system. I don't know much about Menomonie, but my guess is that you will have a great time there. Anytime you want to breeze into Madison, don't hesitate to let me know. On, Wisconsin! 2 Likes |

patriks005: This is why I always tell folks that the problem with Nigeria is that we are being led by unintelligent guys. Nigeria is unfortunate to have a medieval leader like PMB. Imagine a country where Dino and co are lawmakers. And Forget the "Prof." before "Osinbajo", those guys don't have any clue about how 21st century governance works. Only if we had smart guys in government. Not even the used-to-be critics like the Omojuwas, and Ogunlesis (the commercializers of privilege) of our time, who are just hustlers like most of us --- trying to put food on the table. We need help -- a revolution driven by a clearheaded masses. God! |

Oga Justwise, calm down. We know you are doing a great job here. But on this, that was an abuse of power. OjaP didn't violate any of the Nairaland rules. None. Simply put, you hid his post beacause he mentioned SirRiddy in it. With that, you went a bit too far. You owe him an apology. 2 Likes |

nellyalph: Why do you have to lie? Apparently, trying to lie will complicate your situation more than you want to think. If I were you, I will be truthful. Just be truthful and communicate your thoughts intelligently during your interview. Do not lie! Best wishes. 1 Like |

hefhem39: Congrats, sir. I'm not in East Lansing, but I'm kind of familiar with MI. MSU is a great school. East Lansing is a beautiful college town. Could get cold a bit during winter, but not like the cold will be unprecedented. ![]() Flights fares are unpredictable. Just have enough to get you to where you are going. God will provide. Book your flight to O'Hare in Chicago and connect to East Lansing. Also, consider boarding the train from Union Station in Chicago to East Lansing, Michigan; or using Megabus. If you want to use bus, I like to think there is a departure point somewhere around O'Hare. You should look up more info on the Internet. Route your itinerary to Chicago. It would be your most convenient, and probably cost-effective, route. Good luck as you are about starting the journey, God bless. 4 Likes |

AgreatMan: The rhetorical strategies/maneuvering or those people are enviable! ![]() Rhetoric is very important. However, it's not only in America. It's everywhere. Smart countries and individuals know the importance of paying attention to the rhetoric that defines them. Everything is rhetorical. Powerful countries, corporations and individuals invest massively in rhetorical activities -- verbal or non-verbal: visual, written, etc. -- that define them. But, of course, we still have a long way to go in Nigeria. For instance, many of our leaders just(!) talk. A recent example? How President Buhari engaged the "fantastically corrupt" labeling. His engagement proved that he doesn't understand the ethos that informs national identity (re)construction. I wish he knew he lacks a working media/communication team. ![]() More than we want to accept, rhetoric plays crucial roles in defining the human space. An important trait which unifies many of the makers/shapers of human civilization is that they are/were great rhetors. Individuals and countries. **wetin I dey write sef? Warriboy21, how is it going? You good? ![]() Make we reason abeg: Wanted to ask you a question: what do you gain by shading slimmy2015 at every opportunity? By so doing, don't you know you are also committing the sin you accused him of: being vainglorious and childlike. I am aware you guys have [serious] issues, but trust me, you gain nothing by trying to make him look like a bad guy. Of course, I won't tell you slimmy2015 hasn't done anything wrong, far from it. His wrongdoings are what have given you enough reasons to be taking jibes at him. But today, he showed class! Therefore, it is only wise that you stop. Note, I am not taking any side; you both are great folks. Slimmy2015 is a wonderful friend. We came to this thread almost at the same time. Likewise you ― you are also an awesome guy. You add some peculiar and indescribable flavor to this thread, and your zeal ― which was evident right from when you just came here ― says only one thing about you: you are running with a purpose. So, apparently, you are worth more than your now-becoming-habitual shades at slimmy. By demeaning him, you are [unknowingly] demeaning yourself. All I am saying is that you guys should move on and start learning how to treat and address one another and other of this thread with respect. : “You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.” ― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe “There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.” ―Ernest Hemingway 11 Likes 1 Share |

Lately, I find it hard to believe many of these so-called 'celebrities' think. At best, most of them act as teenagers; and at worst, toddlers. They are too base. Why sensationalize an issue you could have handled maturely? Why must they create a spectacle out of everything? Ha! Only if they knew the impact such publicity could have on their children.
