IDEA'S TO CHANGE NIGERIA.
I dont want to be part of those nigerian always complaining without proffering a solution. Here is my own solution to our problem
IF I were MR buhari, I would centralise the education sector. It will work similar way to our federal government. The ministry of education can handle it from that angle. There would be no private school. If the government can do better the private schools will slowly die out.
START FROM KOGI: KOGI state does not need more schools but standard. I would renovate all primary and secondary schools. Every local government should have a standard modern school.
1. Provide buses to convey people living far to school
2. Provide hot meal for them
3. Principals should be chosen based on quality.
4. There should be no school fees.
Assume that 30 million student attend that school. They are to pay 500 each week to the central school. That will be 15billion. In a month that will be 60 billion. The centre school (headquarter) will invest this money in something productive. The more they collect And spend the faster the economy grows. When there is work, parents can afford the fees.
THINGS THE HEADQUARTERS CAN DO
1. It will make quality education its priority
2. There will be so many educated nigerian citizens. Affordable education for all irrespective of background.
3. It will build a better teaching college to boast teacher moral.
4. Teaching will become attractive. Teaching will become a profession.
5. It can afford to organise quiz, debate and give out mouth watering prizes to motivate student
6. It can afford to hire foreign staff. Buy laboratory equipment without government .
7. It can offer good scholarship to poor student to study in a university
8. It can afford to lobby on behalf of the schools.
9. We would have world class student if we implement this.
10. We would no longer go to Ghana or abroad to get quality education. We would even save some foreign exchange. Ghanaian will want to study in nigeria. All these foreign school in nigeria will close up.
This is not rocket science. It is something easy. For the first time let us think outside the box. I swear this plan will work. If you have question ask so I can improve it. I am the last surviving nigerian. I need your help guys. Share this idea everywhere. You never know who might be reading. Facebook is included. [email protected]

ayoku777:
The reason many are advising him to break his fast is because we have placed self-servicing on a pedestal and made it greater than other sins. Self-servicing is a sin; like every other sin we all commit when we are fasting.

What of those who don't self-service but look lustfully at a woman? Should they break their fast too? Or those who got angry or envious or are critical of others during a fast? Should they break their fast too? What of those who make careless exergerations when gisting or chatting during a fast? Should they break their fast as well?

If sins break fast, then every fast will be unworthy of its goal. The goal of fasting is to help mortify carnality in the soul, so carnality in the soul should not make us break our fast, its the reason we are fasting for starters.

The goal of a bible fast is to mortify lust and carnality in the soul through the tool of self-affliction. Meaning you don't overcome lust and carnality to fast, you fast to overcome lust and carnality. To say someone must be holy to fast is an irony and a paradoxical statement; because you fast to mortify lust and carnality.

You begin your fast even with the lust and carnality still in your soul; and you continue the fast even with the lust and carnality, until the fasting afflicts your soul to the point of mortification of lust and carnality.

It takes a while for fasting to accomplish its goal of afflicting the soul unto submission to the Spirit of God. That's why I always say lenght matters in fasting.

I when I went on 30day water fast in May of 2013. It was around day 21 to 26 that sexual appetite was fully subdued. At that point of the fast, nothing could turn me on or even induce lustful thoughts any longer.

Now if I had broken my fast because of lustful thoughts on day 5 or day 14 or day 20; I wouldn't have afflicted my soul to the point of submission.

That's why Jesus said tarry UNTIL ye be endued with power, meaning its not when you begin tarrying that you're endued with power; there is an "UNTIL" attached to the result of fasting.

If you want to overcome all your flaws before you can fast, that in itself will be a sin, because the fast will be an exercise in self-rightoeusness.

It is not a sin to have an ere, ction because it is natural , nature has a way of controlling it but it becomes a sin when you cannot controll the direction of the ere, ction.

Then long fasting is inevitable to destroy the carnal nature that has become part and parcel of your life.
A good fast without food or water will destroy this carnal desire embedded in you.

Godliness Is About Your Conduct

Friday, January 13th, 2017

Pastor Chris

But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness (1 Timothy 4:7).

The word “godliness” above actually means piety towards God, piety to spiritual or godly activities. It means devotion. It doesn’t refer to inner righteousness or inherent holiness. It’s about the things you do, how you respond to God, and to the things of God. For instance, there’s a way you ought to behave when you come into the house of God, because church isn’t like everywhere else. It’s a place of worship. There’s an attitude of reverence you ought to have when you come to church.

Godliness is about your demeanour. Your dressing matters; some piety is necessary in your dressing. There’s a decency that goes with the Spirit of God, and that decency must be in your life. There’re outward things that people should see in you, and say, “Yes, this is a Christian.” They can’t see it in your heart, but can see it in your character. That’s what godliness is about.

There’re movies you shouldn’t watch. There’re books or magazines you shouldn’t read. There’re places you just shouldn’t be found in, because you’re different. And if for any reason you find yourself in such places, you ought to go in there with godly piety. Yes, that’s the life you’ve been called to live. Your presence in a place should exude and transmit the righteousness of God, for you’re a tree of righteousness, producing fruits of righteousness.

Never lose sight of who you are; you’re different. You’re the symbol and embodiment of God’s glory, perfection, beauty, and righteousness. See and carry yourself as such: "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9 AMP).

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for giving me your righteousness as a gift, and inspiring in me the consciousness to walk in a perfect state of piety. I live true to my nature and calling in Christ as I bear fruits of righteousness and inspire many by my piety to spiritual and godly activities, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A different explanation of why many things in the bible don't make sense when we reason about them. Some thing just don't make sense.

It depends on the way you look at some things in the bible. If you read the bible with a critical mind you may find it very difficult to gain anything, the other way round if you read it with an investigative mind, that is an objective mind, you may discover that the bible is full of hidden treasure that only the spiritual mind can really understand what is hidden therein. The way of the cross is foolishness to the carnal man but to the spiritual mind it is life.

For example, the bible is the sword of the spirit. How? It does not make sense for a book to become a sword.
There was case of a demonic idol that appeared to attack a woman, the woman started qouting scripture against the demon, the demon fled just because of the spoken bible verses.
So, how do you correlate this? It does not make sense but it is working.

You've made an astute observation: that the things written about God in the Bible don't really make sense to our brains in a consistent way. God is just, yet unjust. All powerful, yet limited. All loving, yet cruel. You assume that the reason we don't get it is the limitation of our minds, but there's an alternate explanation: that it's just a collection of outdated fiction. What makes you sure that this alternate explanation is wrong?

Alternate explanation?

It is true that certain prayers cannot be answered because they are unreasonable. If I ask God to make me the richest person in the world, and you do the same, both of our prayers can't be answered. Others have pointed out that Jesus should not have promised to grant us anything we ask in his name, knowing that there are some prayers that can't be answered.

That's a good point, but here's another one. Many of the things people ask God for are things that can and should be granted. For example, divine protection of vulnerable people from ritualists, rapists, murderers, kidnappers, armed robbers, and other violent criminals. Prayers for an end to endless cycles of bloodshed in wars all over the world. Prayers for God to grant us wise leaders who are not corrupt. Prayers for healing from incurable diseases such as cancer, which kills many children painfully. Prayers to end the terror of ISIS and Boko Haram. Is there any humane reason for God not to answer such prayers, if he exists?

Sin. The soul that sinneth shall die. God does not answer the prayer of a sinner. The bible says the wicked shall be turned to hell and all the nations that forget God.
Also, God is a God of Justice. His own way of judgement is mysterious. Esau have i hated, Jacob i love. These are babies in the womb. How do you undestand this thing? God also said i will visit the inquities to the fourth generation, if my calculation is right that is about 100 hundred years. So, our brain is too small to undersstand everything about God. We are small.

One of the tennets of Christianity,as taught by Christ is to obey the earthly government while we are on earth.
Yes God appointed them, but they must yield to government regulations that are reasonable, because christ beseeched us to do so.
If I had my way,all churches and islamic organizations will be providing annual financial audit to the ministry of finance to for how they spend the money donated to them by the masses.
In fact, religious organizations will be classified under separate "non-business commercial entities" and taxes would be introduced. They should be able to contribute to our national development, not only spiritually but financially.

The Government is appointed by God, the Pastors are also appointed by God.

Where do we go from here?

what are you saying? why won't you leave pastors alone and allow God to determine if they are on the right track or not. In as much I no not all pastors are genuine, do you think all pastors poor before they started preaching? Do you think all pastors are paid by the church or anything from the church goes to their ?
I'm not a kicc member but it's high time we stop all these pastors this and pastors that. Matthew is not just a pastor, he has a company of his own. He has books that are best time sellers in millions of copies. Do you the book "what's wrong being black?" do you know that book sold immensely.
please, let's comment on the issue not on personalities especially when it has to do with pastors.
How many times have we called imams and native doctors. Why are we scared but to call pastors we will open our mouth wide *no hurt intended*
Please, leave pastors out of this and comment on the us that think dubbing the Church is the right thing to do.

OVERCOMING YOUTHFUL SEXUAL LUSTS, PART 1

Dear Youths and all those who are entangled in the evil web of sexual lusts,
please follow up with this thread, we are presenting a series of in-depth biblical and practical teachings on Youthful Sexual lust to help the youths overcome sexual lusts in their preparation for Christ's return. Please, read with open heart and prayerfully.

Working Scripture: Genesis 3:6
Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

INTRODUCTION
One day, I asked the youths if they knew the meaning of ‘lust’. Everybody answered with a ‘yes’. Then I asked whoever that had lusted after anyone to raise up his or her hand. Only a few raised their hands. I, also, raised my hand. The others that did not raise their hands were laughing at us who raised our hands. I asked them why they didn’t raise their hands but they could not answer but kept on laughing. I concluded they either did not know the meaning of lust or were just pretending.

Let’s face it. Almost everyone who is old enough to understand the meaning of ‘lust’ has lusted after one person or the other, at least once. This teaching will help you to understand the meaning of lust both biblical and practically, determine if you are in lust and what to do to overcome it.

WHAT IS LUST?
Lust can simply be defined as desiring, craving, longing to have or doing what is ungodly in preference to that which comes from God. Anybody can lust after anything. There could be lust after food like children of Israel did in the wilderness, lust after music, lust after clothe or lust after anything once it is ungodly. But since we are dealing with youthful sexual lust, I will paraphrase lust to be desiring, craving, longing to have or doing an ungodly sexual act especially by the Youths.

[u[FIVE STAGES OF LUSTS[/u]
I was made to understand that the fall of Adam by Satan through Eve was due to Eve’s undergoing the complete stages of Lust after the forbidden fruit. Let us look at our working scripture.

From the underlined in our working scripture, we can see the processes or stages that Eve went through:

1. She made eye with the forbidden fruit and could not take her eyes away from it. {pleasant to the eye).
2. Her heart desired to have a taste of the fruit (a tree to be desired).
3. In between, before she took the fruit, she must have planned how to pluck the fruit.
4. She carried out her heart desire by eating the fruit. She took action (and did eat)
5. Consequently, she became lost to death (God’s judgement).

These five stages that Lot went through led sequentially one to another. Each stage is lust on its own and is sinful. Let us look at these five stages in practical ways at they affect youths.

FIRST STAGE OF LUST (THE STAGE)
Lust at this stage is given by the acronym below.
L -LOOKING
U -UNCONTROLABLY at
S -SEXUAL
T -TARGETS

This is the stage where a youth gets in with his/her sexual target. The primary agent here is the eyes. The eyes of a youth come in with his/her sexual targets and lose control. The target may be a chorister singing worship, the pointed nose of a female/male, the eyelid of a female, the moustache of a male, the uncovered straight legs of a female/male, the muscular frame of a man or any sensuous part of a female/male. Some youths even lusts after unclad mannequins in boutiques. Other lustful sexual targets include pornographic images and videos on magazines, Facebook, Whatzapp, Nairaland, YouTube and so on. Once, I saw a video on the internet of a man that saw a statue of an unclothe female. He was so much lost in lust that he went to hug the statue and began to caress it. Lust can be so burning. Burn it before it burns you.

Once, you are lost in control of looking at any ‘sensuous’ part of an opposite sex, and the image feel pleasant to your sight, then you are engrossed in what the scripture calls ‘the lust of the eyes’.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

The lust of the eyes is a sin and not of God. This was the first thing that happened to Eve in the garden. She started looking uncontrollably at the forbidden fruit and it was pleasant to her eyes. For Eve, Lust at this stage is given by the acronym below.

L -LOOKING
U -UNCONTROLABLY at
S -SINFUL
T -TARGET

In this case, the sinful target that Eve could not take her eyes away from was the forbidden fruit.

The first stage of lust which we refer to as the stage if not dealt with quickly will lead a man/woman to the second stage which has to do with the heart. This we shall look at in the second part of this teaching.

PRAYERS
1. Lord, Jesus Christ, set the fire of Holy Ghost in my eyes and burn off all the spirit of lust working inside them.

2. Cast out the lust out of my eyes by the finger of God.

3. Do not allow me to fall to lust like Adam and Eve

4. Destroy every trap of seduction on my way by the fire of God.

5. My eyes will not send me to hell fire in Jesus’ name.
