both Buhari and Wike my State governor are highly guilty of this act. Today fuel price have sharply ascended in bid to extort wealth from the poor to finance the luxury of the rich, this country's challenges is majorly caused by our irrational political leaders who does understand economic management. As for Rivers state we are gasping for breathe, if we can have an institutions that will teach gubernatorial aspirants economic management and policies before the elections I tell you, it will go a long way. Wike is a misfit

majority of them are opportunist. they want to steal and run down to Europe and America

Subsidy is the only thing most Nigerians directly benefits from the Government. If we are in a country with leaders that are ready to serve the citizens subsidy in all sectors should go, except education.

not all Nigerians benefits from subsidy. most of us don't pay tax.

I normal view anybody mentioning BMC as very low intellect and negative iq.

Well when it comes to fuel, nigeria may have it but doesn't refine it. Which means 90% is imported. You can set the price of what u import. Only illiterates argue with this.

For me the solution is to invest in oil refining. That's the only way to keep prices low. Or in the alternative increase minimum wage, pay workers more to cover the cost of living

government is broke grin

Give Nigerian youths the steps and processes to succeed and stop all this your plenty nonsense motivational stories!!!

so you just want a step-by-step approach to success. you don't want to trail blaze. the op is in network security. it takes hard work to acquire such knowledge.

light your own part.

She is very beautiful though

However, what seems to be the criteria for the vaccination? Holding public office or what? Cos in the western world, its given based on priorities - the elderly (from the most old and vulnerable downwards), health workers working directly with the vulnerable and in the front line, and those are the ones who have been vaccinated. However in Nigeria, every politician is going viral from the exercise. Smh

public figures and government officials need to take it and show the public that it's safe.

This is becoming more and more everyday a terrible anomaly. Youthful power channeled down the drain. It's Sad. We have youthful power not been utilized in Nigeria. See boys in their strength infancy. Nigeria has the third-largest youth population in the world, after India and China, with nearly half its population under the age of eighteen - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigeria#Society. And most of these youths have access to internet enabled phones, many unemployed, why won't they indulge in negative vices.

If am the president, I would seek to employ 8 Million able bodied youth into the armed forces collecting not less than 250k each. 3 million into Police force, give indigenous company like Innoson to provide police vehicles for this 3 million; each officer in this 3 million will have a police vehicle with gadgets; that would boost Innoson capacity; they would employ more youths to meet this demand; then give 4 million to the Army and 500k each to Airforce and Navy.

According to Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigerian_Army, the Nigerian Army as at 2020 has 6,000 officers and 150,000 soldiers. This is not really sufficient for a large country like ours. That's why, our security is stretched thin.

With a 4 million strength army and 3 million armed police force, insecurity will reduce. The initial recruitment can even be 10 million.

Station 500,000 troops in Borno, another 500,000 in Zamfara. 300,000 in katsina and 250,000 in the middle belt.

Anyway these are wishful thinking and Governance viewed from the outside is different from what we have inside and also i don't think a corrupt system can achieve this, not to forget an over bloated civil service that consumes close to 50% of national budget in paying salaries. The 2021 Budget has N9.41 Trillion allocated to recurrent and service personnel expenditure. - https://www.tekedia.com/breakdown-of-nigerias-2021-national-budget-of-34-billion/

May God help Nigeria.

Lonliness made me to return back home after my masters in 2010.

After getting a caregiver job in Perth with accommodation, the job was so monotonous that I felt I was in prison. The hourly rate for the job was okay with free meals and accommodation, I was still missing the get together with former colleagues in Lagos, the TGIF and the weekend get together, the travel to my village for celebrations. cool. I love village events and celebrations. Those from the East will understand.

If you are a hyper social type of person, adjusting living abroad will be difficult for you. Nigeria is still far from what I would have love her to be but I wouldn't trade in my happiness, social life, freedom, status, family, power and career aspirations for abroad.

Each to his or her own, but my life and success lies here. kiss

Perth is even far from the rest of Australia. hope you still have access to go back cos buharinomics is coming for you.

It's counterproductive. It will have a negative impact if end up having hyper inflation in the country because high dollar exchange rate. I think the only people that will benefit immensely from it will be money launderers that have little to lose either way.

The only way forward for the country is to become productive by manage its natural resources shrewdly.

you want to advise people that love extravaganza without recourse to the future.

He was on clubhouse today to clarify. A bridge is not supposed to be there as its a canal. Someone died crossing it and he decided to help the community to rebuild the makeshift bridge there. The community was going to build it anyway and he dropped 100k. You guys should grow up. He said he also followed up with government agencies they said they cant do anything about it. Grow up

so in his wisdom. #100k which is equivalent to $200 is what the community needed to build this edifice. this thing will be washed up in one raining season.

and since the town planning didn't approved of it why did he do it anyway

Friday Reflection: The Pope Visit to Iraq...

The Bishop of Rome #Pope made a historic visit to Iraq today. Iraq is a land full of history and ancient civilization. The Father of Monotheism, Prophet Abraham (as), was born in the ancient Iraqi town of Ur in 1,900 BC.

Iraq recorded the first Christian community in the world. The Eastern Church was born in Iraq. The ancient Churches in Mosul are older than Islam.

Before the US-led invasion of Iraq there were more than 1.5 million Iraqis who are Christians. They are the descendants of the ancient Churches. Sadly, but now there are less than half a million Christians in Iraq. The Genocidal US regime brought ISIS and murderous Wahhabi terrorist groups to Iraq that pose existential threats to Iraqi Christians. Without the Righteous Resistance of Shia-led forces in Iraq under the leadership of General Qassem Sulaimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhadis there will today not be a single Christian in Iraq. The US regime under Trump cowardly assasinated these two famous Commanders who protected Iraqi Christians from the bloodthirsty Wahhabi savages.

And if I may ask where was Pope when all these things that were enabled by the arrogant West were happening? Where was the voice of the Pope when Christians of Iraq and Syria were targeted for elimination and extinction by the Saudi-backed Al-Qaeda and ISIS barbarians? Where was the Pope when the nuns of the ancient Syrian Christian town of Maaloula were kidnapped and raped by Western-backed Wahhabi Terrorists? The language spoken by Jesus (as) is still spoken in Maaloula till date.

Having said all these it is important to note that Christianity is the closest Religion to Islam as only these two Monotheist Religions accepted and celebrated the miraculous Birth of Jesus (as) and the chastity of his Blessed Mother, Mary (as). The meetings of Pope and Iraqi Islamic Scholars led by Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani (H) should be geared towards strengthening the historic ties between Muslims and Christians.

As an after thought, Muslims should disregard the fake, fraudulent and fabricated narrative by Wahhabis that Christians are enemies of Muslims. The first leader that saved Muslims from the extreme persecution of the Qureish was the Just Ethiopian king who was a Christian. He respected Islam and protected Muslims. The overwhelming majority of Muslims are against the Christian Genocide agenda of murderous Wahhabi Terrorism that is sponsored by the Saudi Wahhabi regime.

On a final note, we call on the Bishop of Rome who is the undisputed leader of the Roman Catholic Church to stop enabling the heinous crimes and atrocities of the Genocidal imperialist barbarians of the West. Christianity is not Western imperialism and Western imperialism is not Christianity.
