These yams in sacks are amazingly doing well 😁
This morning visit...
I have around 90% sprouts and stead growth from the sieved sand.

They are in three segments:
Sieved sand
Plain sand
Manure mixed sand
Testing for the best way to go.

Imagine if all those sacks grew that amount of yams. Bountiful!

I used to be indifferent about yams, until they became scarce and expensive, now I appreciate them more.

Moral of the story: the less available you are, the more you're valued. 🥺

I wasn't a fan of yam before now,I stumbled on a page that plant them in sacks and boom I am giving it a trial.
I pray it works.

Kudos and bountiful harvest I pray. Did you fill the sack yourself? I filled just five today and I am feeling it right now . Though I had to pack the sand from somewhere, mix with compost manure and then lift to place in a High Place.

Filling and taking them to the place is the main thing.
Did it all myself with my family, lifting to place was aided by a wheelbarrow.

What quantity of fertilizer did you apply and at how many weeks/months after planting?

This a kind of experimental project as this is my first time planting them in sacks.
I added animal dung for some,some were plain sand while others were sieved sand without manure.
Trying them all to see the best way to go.

because here in south-west, they are billing me 1 new bajaj bike per person per year 300/350k payment per year but most farm workers just demand brand new bikes now adays to avoid naira inflation.
If i can get @ 100k per year, i will hire 4 workers with 1 manager sef.

It's fine and I pray for the success but I would like to call your attention to something which you mentioned as well,people that we submit CV for farm are best for managerial aspect of farm but when you need farm workers,those that will work directly on the farm,the best will not be a formal labour,I will advice you get direct farm workers (which I can recruit for you).
Don't send alakowe labourer to the field to do labour work. My 1kobo.

Workers employment procedures
*1* The director,manager or supervisor comes to Ibadan(office)to sign the agreement with the company,while the worker(s) will be handed over to him or her.
*2,* The client to pay #15000 as transportation and #20,000 agency of the total amount in the office before leaving with the workers.
*3,* client are not to pay to the workers directly except the company direct it.
*4,* client to provides feeding, accommodation,farm clothes and safety rain boots to protect the workers from hazards.

*5,* The client to return the workers to the office (Ibadan)at the expiration of the contract.
*6,* The contract closes on *10th Dec* therefore payment of the balance is to made latest 9th Dec.
*7,* we replaced workers when a confirm issues of distrust and miss conduct is reported against workers while the client responsible for
the transport to his/her farm.
*8,* There is no refund of transportation and deposits.
